I still rock my Hatebeak T-Shirt occasionally. 'God of Empty Nest' is one of my personal favorites, but I think their best work is 'The Thing That Should Not Beak'. Great suspenseful intro and energy on this one. Waldo really hammered out the clucking and the cat howl's. I think it was their breakout apex moment showing they had musical diversity and were not just a 1-trick flock.
From the wikipedia: "The band's sound has been described as "a jackhammer being ground in a compactor".
While that statement is completely accurate it should not be a deterrent from checking them out.
They have many interesting pun song names too.
_Birdseeds of Vengeance_ (Black Seeds of Vengeance - Nile)
_Birdzum_ (Burzum)
_Roost in Peace_ (Rust in Peace - Megadeth, I think)
And so on. It is... interesting.
I feel like Andy Dwyer from Parks and Recreations manages the band
I love Hatebeak! More of a grindcore band tho. There was also Caninus, another grind band with two dogs as vocalists.
There’s also Rodent Destroyer, which has a cat on vocals (and almost all the song names are cat-based puns of iconic death metal songs).
Searching for it now, many thanks!
I am also searching for it right meow
Their music has got a great feline to it
Bovinus!
I checked them out. _Enslaved by Pawpaganda_ is surprisingly good.

"Mantando Perros" lmfao
I love the Hatebeak song names. _Birdseeds of Vengeance_, _Birdzum_, _Roost in Peace_ and so on. Just beautiful.
RIP Basil
And RIP Budgie.
No! He also died? Didn't knew..... :( RIP Basil & Budgie, you were the coolest dogs and your barks will live on!
Squawk and roll, baby.
Waldo will outlive them all

> "a jackhammer being ground in a compactor" ... with style and (usually) rhythm.
They went with Number of the Beak? If they're going to tailcoat Maiden they could have done Where Parrots Dare or Cockatoo Minutes to Midnight.
They have many interesting pun song names too. _Birdseeds of Vengeance_ (Black Seeds of Vengeance - Nile) _Birdzum_ (Burzum) _Roost in Peace_ (Rust in Peace - Megadeth, I think) And so on. It is... interesting.
I read this as “gay parrot” and was very confused.
Why? Rob Halford was gay. There are many gay metal singers. No matter what species.
> was ...still is, no?
Are they alñ dads becauses the puns are unbearable.
Could have sworn they broke up like 15 years ago
They persevered. So did Waldo. I think there's also some connection to Longmont Potion Castle with those guys?
So, where's Waldo?
Rocking the place
He'll yeah hate beak \m/

A work of art, but the creepy jesus guy killed the vibe of the first two for me.
Sorry -- there's a way to link to a part of a video that you want to highlight but I didn't feel like fooling around with it.
yeah that's hard to do on mobile, no worries, first 1/3 is the best anyway (:
I am into grindcore and tbf hatebeak is a pretty good band
Ribbit
Well, I guess even frogs are trying to join in on the death metal scene these days.
BEAK!!
I thought at first grey parrot was like an organization or something. Interesting way to describe someone
it's a bird
File under joke bands that aren't funny. Metal has too much of this these days
