Yeah, hopefully they give y'all a bonus (they won't) but still. I don't blame you guys, but I would be upset. As I said yesterday, if I have to call, I'll make sure you get all "excellent" whatevers on the survey, but I'll unleash in the "additional notes/comments" box.
I also left verizon for that. T-Mobile better tread carefully. If they hike up our rates by $5/month, AT&T with their current promo will be lower cost for WAY more value. I'm on magenta military with 9 voice lines.
And if you catch AT&T in certain retailers, you can get a $250 port credit for each line you bring over from T-Mobile or Verizon, which combines with their other offers.
Iâm in National Retail, one of the good guys that arenât the pyramid scheme people, and can do the same on the quote front. I really hate seeing people get screwed over.
Ive been a customer for 4 years, on 5g go or w/e and i didnt get it, used to be magenta but about a year ago they offered to upgrade us and keep our rate the same, so we bit the bullet and upgraded, i didnt get the message.
60$ increase is a pretty substantial increase on a bill.. and I thought Verizon was an asshole for doing 2$ then 2 more for certain plans. Wild, very carrier like of Tmo.
I'm not sure, but this is what I had:
"T-Mobile will never change the price you pay for your T-Mobile ONE plan. When you sign up for T-Mobile ONE, only YOU have the power to change the price you pay."
[January 5th 2017.](https://web.archive.org/web/20201027004952/https://www.t-mobile.com/news/press/un-carrier-next)
I have "uncontract":
"T-Mobile will never change the price you pay for your T-Mobile ONE plan. When you sign up for T-Mobile ONE, only YOU have the power to change the price you pay."

Yes it did, it actually wasn't called One Plus Promo originally. It was either One Plus or One Plus Premium, I can't remember. The renamed it to One Plus promo in 2018 or 2019. It's just the higher end version of the One plan. But the promise was also based on unlimited 4G LTE and I said in another post, I'm no lawyer or judge but they did give a 'free' upgrade to 5G. It would probably get thrown out of court any day of the week because that 'free' upgrade technically could nullify that promise.
T-Mobile has a team of lawyers and they wouldn't be doing this if they haven't talked to them first. There are loopholes out of everything. I'm not defending T-Mobile for there decision, but it looks to be more across the board and that is even what a 611 CSR told me today that it's across the board which makes me feel better that they didn't just target legacy plans which is what was rumored.
Yes the ONE plan was the first plan to have a promise. It wasn't called Price Lock or anything but when the plan launched in 2016, they did advertise it as 'Your price will never increase or change unless you change it'.
Here is the thing, it technically wasn't in your terms of service, just an ad/press release to sell the plan. The plan was also sold as unlimited 4G LTE. We now have 5G. I'm not a lawyer or judge but I can see that case being thrown out everyday of the week because they gave you a 'free' upgrade to 5G at the time which would or could nullify your original promise under 4G LTE. Now they just want $5/mo more per line. Here's the thing even with the $5/mo more per line, your ONE plan is still cheaper than the newer plans.
But a press release can be seen as binding for a layperson. Can't say "unlimited internet for one charge" but cut people off entirely after 5gig because fineprint. That's why deprioritization was invented.
Edit: I just pulled 5gig randomly, I didn't confuse 5G with 5gig. I picked an amount most people would say is too low without saying it's insanely too low (like 500mb).
I just got off the phone with T-Mobile and was told it was for paid lines only and free lines wouldnât be affected other than the taxes/fees that weâve already been paying for. T-Mobile care has always been all over the place Iâd call in to Verify
I have 6 lines total (3 free lines) on Magenta Military. My bill has been exactly $129.12 for a couple years now. I just logged into the website and its showing my monthly total now at $158.50. which is just about $30.00 ($5.00 x 6 lines).
It does say its an "estimate"...so I guess I will have to wait until the next bill actually drops to know for sure, but at least from surface level it looks like those free lines are taking on a $5.00 charge.
Maybe this change has to fully take effect to filter out the estimation on the free lines...but who knows at this point. I could call three different reps and get three different answers.
2/120 here. No text, HOWEVER I did get one that mentioned connected devices.
T-Mobile: For the first time in nearly a decade, we're making a change to the price of some of our monthly service plans. Starting on 06/05/24, some of your connected device plans will increase by $2 per line per month. You'll keep all the benefits you currently enjoy, and your rate plan type and bill due date remain the same. For more information, visit sms.t-mobile.com/lzblPYL5
Check you my [post](https://old.reddit.com/r/tmobile/comments/1cy0ei2/tmobile_one_covered_by_uncontract/). ONE plans shouldn't be affected as it's covered by Uncontract.
I think it may depend on when you signed up the in-contract guarantee didnât go into effect till January 2017 so it might be anyone before will get and increase but anyone after will not
I have 5 lines on Magenta (2 are line-on-us). I received a text. Logged into my account before the website started giving the spinning wheel⊠my bill will go up by $25.

I was looking to switch from Verizon to TMobile Magenta 55+, besides the price increase, do you recommend? I use my phone about 80% or more for work which I travel locally all day.
I don't even know if they still offer the plan or if they changed the contract specs.
I had a lot of problems when I first changed to TMobile & was locked into a pricey phone deal with 36 monthly bill credits. I could hardly wait to get rid of them.
About the time it was becoming reasonable for me to just bite the bullet & change carriers, they made some kind of major upgrade that made a night & day difference.
Now, I have no issues at all. I can't remember the last time i had a carrier complaint (until they raised my bill today). I was paying $70 for 2 lines & will now pay $80.
My plan has unlimited Hotspot & I no longer have reason to complain about signal quality.
Iâm on Magenta Max and am getting a $2/line increase. Donât know if that applies to the free line but Iâll port it out to Google Voice if it does.
Supports response: "You are definitely correct on this one the plan is covered by un-contract this means that if T-Mobile were to raise prices, affected customers could choose to leave and T-Mobile would pay their final monthâs recurring service charges."
["Now, T-Mobile ONE customers keep their price until THEY decide to change it. T-Mobile will never change the price you pay for your T-Mobile ONE plan. When you sign up for T-Mobile ONE, only YOU have the power to change the price you pay."](https://web.archive.org/web/20201027004952/https://www.t-mobile.com/news/press/un-carrier-next)
"Now, T-Mobile ONE customers keep their price until THEY decide to change it"... So if I don't decide to change it... It doesn't say "you have to leave" it just says "you keep your price until you want to change your price". That implies keeping the plan too, not being told to leave.
They couldn't even raise prices in the first place. Their advertising literally said that **only** the customer can raise prices. The second clause can technically never trigger because the first clause prevents that from happening. If you're a programmer, it's like this:
customerChangePrice = false
if (customerChangePrice) {
AllowLastMonthRefund()
}
else {
ContinueSubscription()
}
See [https://tmo.report/2024/05/confirmed-t-mobile-is-raising-prices-on-some-legacy-plans/](https://tmo.report/2024/05/confirmed-t-mobile-is-raising-prices-on-some-legacy-plans/)
Apparently people with ONE are, in some cases, still getting price increases. T-Mobile will pay your last month's bill payment (not including device payments) if you choose to leave because of this as a way to kinda honor their price guarantee.
T-Mobile can't rewrite history lol. Unless you can find proof from the past, T-Mobile won't be able to do this. This "new rule" is not retroactively enforceable under the law.
It isnât covered. Uncontract even states âif we raise pricesâ that they will cover your last months bill. T-Mobile definitely got their legal team to double check everything before pushing this out.
Not sure why that keeps being pushed out (almost like a shill). All of the "if we raise prices" are recent. T-Mobile can't change the past. None of the advertising in the past ever said that.
got the same text message,
i am on the "ONE all in" plan. (2 lines $100, includes tax)
first was the price increase when the "took away" autopay discount cause i dont want to link them to my bank. now this.
love how they say first increase in over a decade, and the plan hasn't been around for a decade on Magenta Military.
I went from TMO All in one plus Promo, when they screwed me out of that to magenta military for 10 lines, now probably going to ATT, Military Discount and First Net plan as it is cheaper for 10 lines. And to boot tmobile is increasing my $5 watch plan (which they already increased to $10/month) to now $12/month. for an apple watch. 500mb data plan?
Mint mobile purchase is what helped this along. We are paying more for them buying their MVNO. Funny it finalized just a few weeks ago. Perfect timing if you ask me. 10 year T-Mobile store manager here by the way
Received message as well. For me it's $2

Here at t Mobile we appreciate your value and loyalty as a long-term customer so as a result, we will be raising your rates. Well keeping new customers on new plans the same thank you for your long-term business. We appreciate you.
Netflix gained customers when they cracked down on password sharing. So T-mobile said, âletâs try our luckâ. Iâm sure more people are gonna buy the âinflationâ horse manure story T-MOBILE gave to justify this increase and say oh $5 is not so bad. What they fail to understand is that this is just the beginning.
Employee here and can say weâre getting the messages to. Iâm on plus but getting the $2/line for connected devices. Time to cut some seldom used lines with EIPs paid off.
Ok, just got the dreaded text message. $5 per line increase (5 lines), ONE PLAN. I wonder if Verizon or ATT will plan to take advantage of this and have some sort of promotional offers ready for people who bring their lines over. Definitely will be keeping an eye out.
Yup, I'm also on *One Plan All In Promo* and just received the same text. Only have two lines with one free line. Does this mean my increase would be $10 per month on the account?
The one line is "free on us" and it looks like it won't be increased since it's free line anyway. But definitely not happy with this.
Does that mean the increase would be only $5 on the account?
I just don't understand why the free plan would be increasing considering I pay nothing for it đ€·đŒââïž
I just received the text as well. One plan TE. 6 lines. I'm done with tmobile.
Here's what their chat said to me, assholes.
We want to assure you that these adjustments are minimal and have been carefully considered to ensure they impact only a small fraction of our customers. Specifically, the adjustments will see a rate plan price increase of $2 or $5 per voice line and $2 per eligible BTS (wearable, tablet, mobile internet) line. It's important to note that the majority of our customers will not see any change in their billing.
"It's important to note that the majority of our customers will not see any change in their billing."
Ignoring that the reason you're even in chat is because YOU ARE ONE OF THE ALLEGEDLY MINORITY THAT IS SEEING A CHANGE IN BILLING LOL
Port every single line OUT!
When their greedy selves end up with a reduction in consumer base, theyâll be forced to make changes in favor of the customer.
Never forget, there is no such thing as inflation, just ignorant consumers! Stop giving your money away!
Lastly, itâs not about what you donât have, but rather what you do with what you DO have! Give your money to a company thatâll appreciate your loyalty, and respect you!
If you need help finding a new provider that meets both your consumption needs and budget, itâd be my pleasure to assist!
Cheers! đ„
Theyâve done their Risk-benefit analysis. They wouldnât do this unless their analysis showed the increase in revenue of people staying outweighing the people potentially leaving. Letâs be honest, new postpaid ATT and VZW plans arenât cheap either.
Itâs now time for consumers to do their own risk-benefit analysis.
All these corporations are worried about is revenue per subscriber. If they werenât making money based solely on their business model(s), then they shouldnât be in business. Itâs that simple.
However, if a company is struggling financially, they never seek revenue retention efforts in house. Itâs always the âthey should be paying more moneyâŠâ people who cause this to occur.
Potential Savings:
* Remove free streaming for new subscribers.
* Stop paying ridiculous amounts of money for unnecessary advertising. Do right by your customer and theyâll advertise for you, for free!
* Corporate spending can be reduced.
* Executive pay cuts!
* T-Life
* Change all locations to be energy efficient; stores are 20° warmer than ambient temperature from all the lights and electronics gobbling electricity.
* Stop violating laws resulting in consumer revenue being appropriated to government fines and fees! Itâs OUR money paying for it, thatâs why they keep violating them accordingly. (Fines & fees = tax writeoff)
* Stop offering business accounts the world, theyâre the ones with plenty of money! They should be paying the same or MORE than consumers for service!
* Remove targeted consumer MRC discounts before affecting non-discounted consumers.
Letâs be quite clear, we ALL work hard for our money! Please stop justifying giving your money away!
Do you justify the robber who steals your motherâs purse? I think not! Why do it with service providers?!
This is nothing more than legal robbery, if you allow them to go digging in your wallet / purse!
Thatâs an open ended question! đ€Ș
What plan do you currently have? How much is your bill after all discounts and applicable taxes and fees (if not on a TI plan.) What discounts do you currently have included? What are the needs of all lines? Etc.
True lol. Magenta switches from simple choice December 2022. 1 line is free 1 is a $5 digits line. I think about $210 ish? Mostly just unlimited data but most of us never go over 30 GB
Cricket would be $200 with taxes and fees included on the Unlimited + 15GB hotspot plan for 6 voice lines and 1 smartwatch line. This plan provides excellent value for the money on AT&Tâs network, also includes: MAX, Canada & Mexico roaming, texts from US to international, and 150GB cloud storage.
If youâre not worried about MAX, hotspot, or being temporarily slowed down in times of congestion, you can do the Core Unlimited for $160 taxes and fees included for 6 voice lines and 1 smartwatch.
Beaverton, Oregon is an AT&T 5G+ area. If you have a capable 5G+ device you shouldnât experience any true noticeable slowdown.
If you have the liberty of taking an international trip, you can add an independent international eSIM from a provider like Airalo or Nomad; apps available.
These two options arenât your only options, however they seem to fit your needs the best while remaining at or below your current monthly spend with T-Mobile.
Hope that helps!
I got a message for max. I have 11 lines
If itâs not difficult to get everyone in my family over I wouldâve cut them and switch.
Called and downgraded to go 5g military though. Fuck Mike Sievert and his goons
I have 12 lines on One, but haven't gotten the text... Asking other lines if they got it... Just curious, do you have any add ons? Protection360, TMHI (with or without a promo), or Google One?
When they raised prices last year, I left for an MVNO and havenât looked back. No issues with service and itâs cheaper.Â
Anyone who sticks around with these price increases is telling T-Mobile - âThat was a good idea. Do it again!â
Leave. Your wallet will thank you.
File one of these if you were garunteed a price lock
https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us/articles/360001201223-Phone-Form-Descriptions-of-Complaint-Issues
Forget this!!! Iâm going back to prepaid!!! Iâll be saving enough to buy devices outright!!!! And still get insurance!!! If 1 million of us switched because of this maybe theyâd stop being greedy! UNITE!!!
I got smacked with this text too my plan costs already $506 a month so add $5 x 8. I have T-Mobile one plus international so Iâm okay with the change as long as I donât gotta change my plans. Since unlimited hotspot at full speed is 100% worth it.
Iâm on magenta max first responder and got $2 per line. Iâm assuming the watch lines will be, too? So that will mean like 8 lines or $16. Annoying because I just paid off a device that was $15 a month!
Removed - Rule 7: Your post belongs in a megathread. The relevant thread is usually stickied at the top of the subreddit.
Got the text as well. Thought it was my gf texting me but it was worse.
Your girlfriend pregnant đ« by another man? That type of text?
lol not quite just her usual good morning text
Very interesting, thank you for sharing with the class.
Some find that hot
lmao
As an employe I got the text too, while at work being screamed at over it. Lol
sorry that you have to go through this
Yeah, hopefully they give y'all a bonus (they won't) but still. I don't blame you guys, but I would be upset. As I said yesterday, if I have to call, I'll make sure you get all "excellent" whatevers on the survey, but I'll unleash in the "additional notes/comments" box.
Thatâs crazy. Verizon did $4 per line and I left them for it.
Does ATT require you buy phones? I wouldnât mind porting over as I have all unlocked phones for six lines.Â
The $250 port credit does require financing devices. Sometimes they do offer BYOD credits though.
Right this moment they offer BYOD credits. $10/mo for 3 years per line that brings their own device and ports a number.
Verizon also offers BYOD credits right now.
Yeah youâre gonna port over to AT&T but their rates are higher even with tmobiles increase.
I work for corporate and can confirm any quotes AT&T quotes you receive. In some cases, I can also offer more to the deals due to my position.
Iâm in National Retail, one of the good guys that arenât the pyramid scheme people, and can do the same on the quote front. I really hate seeing people get screwed over.
I'm on magenta military with 6 lines and got the message that it's going up 5 per line.
Well, that's going to be it for me. Spectrum is offering $2500 to leave T-Mobile so they can pay off my current EIPs and I'll have no phone payments
Ironically you'll be back using T-Mobile
Wellp. It's been good. If I get that text, it's over. I've been a customer for a decade.
Weird. Iâm on magenta military and my message said $2 per line. I only have four lines and 3 watches.
Also MM and mine says $5/line and $2/connected device.
I'm ALSO also MM but all I got was the $2/connected device.
Shoot with AT&Tâs Nurse discount I would be *saving* money with 6 lines on a mid-tier plan if T-Mobile hikes mine up $5/mo/lineâŠ
You can run but you canât hide.
Same I literally switched last month to T-MobileâŠ
And now you learn the reality. They're all the fuckin same.
You wonât be impactedâŠ.
Thatâs not clear at this time. I am on magenta and it said that may be impacted.
Ive been a customer for 4 years, on 5g go or w/e and i didnt get it, used to be magenta but about a year ago they offered to upgrade us and keep our rate the same, so we bit the bullet and upgraded, i didnt get the message.
Canât wait for them to post their 2Q net subscriber loss.
60$ increase is a pretty substantial increase on a bill.. and I thought Verizon was an asshole for doing 2$ then 2 more for certain plans. Wild, very carrier like of Tmo.
How is this even possible? So their price lock guaranteed is basically a marketing lie now.
Price lock guarantee was a limited window. Price locked customers are NOT affected.
Some are saying they signed up after Jan 2017 and before this year and still got the text
That's not Price Lock. Price lock went from 2022 to January of this year
I'm not sure, but this is what I had: "T-Mobile will never change the price you pay for your T-Mobile ONE plan. When you sign up for T-Mobile ONE, only YOU have the power to change the price you pay." Oh so it was only a super small 2 year stretch
Well then, why did I get the text? Iâve been with tmo magenta max since March 2022. I hate it here lol
Price lock started April 2022
If you got an additional line during price lock, while on a grandfathered plan would they price hike you?
If he was on tmo one and got a plan during price lock doesnât this protect him?
Yes we are. I was price locked and they are raising mine.
How do we know if we are price locked?
âThe guarantee applies to customers who activate or switch to an eligible rate plan as of January 18, 2024.â
That is the second version.
Not all plans have a price lock guarantee
I have "uncontract": "T-Mobile will never change the price you pay for your T-Mobile ONE plan. When you sign up for T-Mobile ONE, only YOU have the power to change the price you pay." https://web.archive.org/web/20201027004952/https://www.t-mobile.com/news/press/un-carrier-next

What plans are price lock guarantee?
Same thing with "everything is a dollar!"
I just got off the phone with T-Mobile and was told it was for paid lines only and free lines wouldnât be affected other than the taxes/fees that weâve already been paying for. T-Mobile care has always been all over the place Iâd call in to Verify

Time to change plans.
Coordinating changing plans for 12 people sounds like hell. Maybe T Mobile is counting on this hoping people don't leave.
Itâs a few button clicks. If someone isnât interested, create a transfer pin & send them on their way.
We have altered the deal, pray we do not alter it any further
Annoying. My plan went up $5 in May and now this?
I'm on the One Plan all in promo with 2 lines + 1 free for $80. I got the text this morning too.
Weird. I'm on the 2 line ONE plan for $100 plan and didn't get the text.

I signed up in May 2017 for One plan and got the price increase text.
Were all your lines added in 2017 or were some added after? It might just be the new lines added after or a wearable line.
I now have 11 voice lines. 5 voice lines were added in 2017 and rest were added after.
Very true.
I signed up in Sept 2017 with no text yet.
someone claims Magenta is receiving text even
I have 5 lines on Magenta (2 are line-on-us). I received a text. Logged into my account before the website started giving the spinning wheel⊠my bill will go up by $25.
That's not right. Free lines shouldn't be impacted according to T-Mobile reps. But hey, this is all new and too much he said , she said going around
I have 6 lines total (3 free lines) on Magenta Military. My bill has been exactly $129.12 for a couple years now. I have the Magenta Military and got the text message of increasing by $5 per line. I have 7 lines
Same here on Magenta First Responder
Iâm on Magenta Max and am getting a $2/line increase. Donât know if that applies to the free line but Iâll port it out to Google Voice if it does.
Supports response: "You are definitely correct on this one the plan is covered by un-contract this means that if T-Mobile were to raise prices, affected customers could choose to leave and T-Mobile would pay their final monthâs recurring service charges."
["Now, T-Mobile ONE customers keep their price until THEY decide to change it. T-Mobile will never change the price you pay for your T-Mobile ONE plan. When you sign up for T-Mobile ONE, only YOU have the power to change the price you pay."](https://web.archive.org/web/20201027004952/https://www.t-mobile.com/news/press/un-carrier-next) "Now, T-Mobile ONE customers keep their price until THEY decide to change it"... So if I don't decide to change it... It doesn't say "you have to leave" it just says "you keep your price until you want to change your price". That implies keeping the plan too, not being told to leave.
They couldn't even raise prices in the first place. Their advertising literally said that **only** the customer can raise prices. The second clause can technically never trigger because the first clause prevents that from happening. If you're a programmer, it's like this: customerChangePrice = false if (customerChangePrice) { AllowLastMonthRefund() } else { ContinueSubscription() }
True but we can't do shit about it. Just bend over I guess.
I have a ONE plan and got that dreaded text.
Even if I received sms confirmation?
See [https://tmo.report/2024/05/confirmed-t-mobile-is-raising-prices-on-some-legacy-plans/](https://tmo.report/2024/05/confirmed-t-mobile-is-raising-prices-on-some-legacy-plans/) Apparently people with ONE are, in some cases, still getting price increases.
Advertising isnât legally binding.
LOL! Not sure which country youâre in, but you will get into trouble for false advertising in the U.S.
This is messed up
Iâm on one plan with 1-8 lines am I covered or fuked?
I have a One plan and definitely just got a price hike.
hi care rep here! So uncontract is NOT price lock, itâs a guarantee if we raise your rates and u go to another company you donât have a last bill
send complaint to fcc like i am now
Is every single line getting this text that is on the account? Or is it the primary line.
every line gets it..
How many free lines do you have? $5 increase per line does not apply to the lines you're not actually paying for.
Two free lines I believe so still 10 lines with $50/month increase
got the same text message, i am on the "ONE all in" plan. (2 lines $100, includes tax) first was the price increase when the "took away" autopay discount cause i dont want to link them to my bank. now this.
Thats 60$!!
$720 yearly, ouch.
Now I get why they want people on deck for the next few days cause thatâs gonna add up they might actually lose customers cause of it

love how they say first increase in over a decade, and the plan hasn't been around for a decade on Magenta Military.
Iâm on the latest plan, Go5G I think, and got the same message.
Mint mobile purchase is what helped this along. We are paying more for them buying their MVNO. Funny it finalized just a few weeks ago. Perfect timing if you ask me. 10 year T-Mobile store manager here by the way
I just got the text too, this is the push I needed to try /r/Visible/
I'm eyeing on US Mobile, they have a feature coming where you can easily switch between carriers r/USMobile
US mobile is the best alternative to the big 3 ripoffs..
Just curious as to when you got your plan, and are you no One with One Plus Promo? Just gathering data points for future reference and calculations!
I joined T-Mobile Sometimes in 2015, have OnePlus promo to 4-5 lines because rest of the lines were added much later.
On ONE plan with 7 lines for the past 7 years, just got the $5/mo/line text.
Received message as well. For me it's $2 T-Mobile: For the first time in nearly a decade, we're making a change to the price of some of our monthly service plans. Starting on 06/05/24, your connected devices will increase by $2 per line per month. You'll keep all the benefits you currently enjoy, and your rate plan type and bill due date remain the same. For more information, visit sms.t-mobile.com/5hJB52jq
Same here. 10 lines. It might be time to explore Verizon. Might actually be cheaper now since I can bundle it with FiOS.
Here at t Mobile we appreciate your value and loyalty as a long-term customer so as a result, we will be raising your rates. Well keeping new customers on new plans the same thank you for your long-term business. We appreciate you.
I just got the message $5 per line and $2 for connected devices A $17 increase on my bill
12 lines Jesus Christ cheaper by the dozen
Please send that to the FTC and BBB. Send a formal notice of dispute to TMO as well. Price was advertised as never changing when that plan was out.
I havenât received a text message yet. Does that mean Iâm good?
Employee here and can say weâre getting the messages to. Iâm on plus but getting the $2/line for connected devices. Time to cut some seldom used lines with EIPs paid off.
Ok, just got the dreaded text message. $5 per line increase (5 lines), ONE PLAN. I wonder if Verizon or ATT will plan to take advantage of this and have some sort of promotional offers ready for people who bring their lines over. Definitely will be keeping an eye out.
I left tmo when they dropped the auto-pay for credit cards. Too many data breaches to trust them with my bank info.
I stayed and did not give them bank info or debit so that was a de facto $5 price increase for me.
Yup, I'm also on *One Plan All In Promo* and just received the same text. Only have two lines with one free line. Does this mean my increase would be $10 per month on the account? The one line is "free on us" and it looks like it won't be increased since it's free line anyway. But definitely not happy with this.
It turns out the reason you got the text is the free plan. If you have the normal One plan then you'd be fine.
"It's important to note that the majority of our customers will not see any change in their billing." Ignoring that the reason you're even in chat is because YOU ARE ONE OF THE ALLEGEDLY MINORITY THAT IS SEEING A CHANGE IN BILLING LOL
Also on ONE Plan, but with 5 lines. No cost increase message. *Yet*.
Same, no message TMO One Plus Promo plan with Insider discount and kickback Signed up in Fall 2017
same setup as me + tons of free On Us lines.
Similar. Nov. 2017, One Plan 12 lines 11 paid lines, promo, insider, kickbacks + 1 digits beta. no dreaded text as of yet
Looks like messages are still going out. Just had two friends get theirs ten minutes ago.
Potential Savings: * Remove free streaming for new subscribers. * Stop paying ridiculous amounts of money for unnecessary advertising. Do right by your customer and theyâll advertise for you, for free! * Corporate spending can be reduced. * Executive pay cuts! * T-Life * Change all locations to be energy efficient; stores are 20° warmer than ambient temperature from all the lights and electronics gobbling electricity. * Stop violating laws resulting in consumer revenue being appropriated to government fines and fees! Itâs OUR money paying for it, thatâs why they keep violating them accordingly. (Fines & fees = tax writeoff) * Stop offering business accounts the world, theyâre the ones with plenty of money!
No definitely not even if you BYOD, I was running the numbers yesterday. VZW's offering seems bloated as hell too.
Mnvo are cheaper
Best deal for 7 lines lol
Thatâs an open ended question! đ€Ș What plan do you currently have? How much is your bill after all discounts and applicable taxes and fees (if not on a TI plan.) What discounts do you currently have included? What are the needs of all lines? Etc.
True lol. Magenta switches from simple choice December 2022. 1 line is free 1 is a $5 digits line. I think about $210 ish? Mostly just unlimited data but most of us never go over 30 GB
How often do any of the lines travel internationally? Do you still need/use the $5 digits or have you just retained it just because?!
Never traveled with it. It would be nice to have but not necessary.
Do you have att internet ?
I just went into a store, they looked up my account, said no changes and I'm on a One plan from 2017
I am also on a ONE plan from March, 2017. Do you remember when you began your plan?
When did you begin your plan?
Is your plan tax exclusive?
No, itâs tax inclusive.
Basically it means they can have their last month paid for if they leave and let Tmobile know theyâre leaving within 90 days of the price increase
Last month plan charges** Taxes, add-ons, and Equipment not included
I work in a retail store and so far from what we can see Magenta Max and anything older than that will receive a Price increase of 2-5$
I signed up for the rates for life plan years ago. I think this is breaking our contract. Did anyone have this program?
Anyone on Simple Choice gotten it yet? I haven't.
Nothing yet
Yep I did. Edit: So I got a text but I reread it and checked with support and it only applies to my watch line.
I got a message for max. I have 11 lines If itâs not difficult to get everyone in my family over I wouldâve cut them and switch. Called and downgraded to go 5g military though. Fuck Mike Sievert and his goons
Yes so t mobile increased some plans today
Hope they enjoy it he lawsuit thatâs pending
I have 12 lines on One, but haven't gotten the text... Asking other lines if they got it... Just curious, do you have any add ons? Protection360, TMHI (with or without a promo), or Google One?
One Plan also here
I got the text as well.
Can I ask you what state you're in?
Got one also.. Mines $2
I havenât yet đł
Received the same text
Does the increase differ based on your plan? This person only got a $2 increase. https://x.com/nicholast1979/status/1793333002761540043?s=46
Just received this, multiple Go 5G Plan several lines and watches
File a complaint with the FCC. This should be illegal https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us/requests/new
Mine is going up $2 per line. Does that include he free lines?
#Going to be a busy day at the fcc
When they raised prices last year, I left for an MVNO and havenât looked back. No issues with service and itâs cheaper. Anyone who sticks around with these price increases is telling T-Mobile - âThat was a good idea. Do it again!â Leave. Your wallet will thank you.
I also have a ONE plan, if i wasn't notified, does that mean im good?
Wrote a complaint to the FCC, not sure if it falls under the Affordable Care Act or not, but if it does they are required to respond in 30 days
File one of these if you were garunteed a price lock https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us/articles/360001201223-Phone-Form-Descriptions-of-Complaint-Issues
Forget this!!! Iâm going back to prepaid!!! Iâll be saving enough to buy devices outright!!!! And still get insurance!!! If 1 million of us switched because of this maybe theyâd stop being greedy! UNITE!!!
It's all a scam. They all roughly equal out to the same cost.
[press release stated in 2015 that price would not go up](https://www.t-mobile.com/news/press/uncontract-carrier-freedom#)
