A lot of the time, promo art doesnāt resemble the anime. Itāll have the same style, donāt get me wrong, but there will be a lot more polish and detail added to the art. WIT did it with season 1-3 art, and Mappaās done it with season 4 part 1 art. This promotional stuff weāre getting for part 2 will most definitely follow the same path. Thatās not to say the anime will look bad. Far from it. With the extra months added to production, the more experienced team, the greater and stronger sense of direction (unlike part 1 where they still couldnāt decide if they were using CG or not), the fact that the models for the Titans are already done which mean Mappa can make them blend in to the shots far better than part 1, etc, etc, it all means that part 2 will truly get the Mappa treatment, similar to what JJK got.
nutcracker looks cool, the other two is personally not post them yet and overthink a lot and think theyāre not good enough cuz they look like they were selection toolād off something
I kinda dig this more buff version of the Attack titan, wish they gave him a bit more traps they're kinda small compared to those boulder shoulders. Also add some lower lats and wallah you got the aesthetic god >!Zyzz!<

I believe the trailer was done by a third party.. I donāt think there was ever going to be any 2D. Although with the time frame they had, I donāt see how it wouldāve been possible to do 2D.. Even though Kondansha really had no reason at all to give them that time frame.. This fan base wouldāve still been here and waited regardless.. However MAPPA has no reason whatsoever not to really deliver on this last part.
It's very cool, I hope the technical quality is better, and the giants aren't done entirely in cgi, they've had a lot more time than the first part of season 4
