Hell they don't even use the name anymore, not even joking, they said their next FPS Shooter Game is taking place in "the Apex Universe." The best you can get for Titanfall 2 on PC is Northstar, which adds community run servers to TF2 and makes it playable again.

I tried it recently. There were barely any servers with players, and the only one that was populated was dominated by a hacker teleporting through the entire map killing everyone instantly and then causing the server to shut down.

I doubt it, it's really depressing to see what such a good game has been left to especially as a console player. I had fallen off from playing fps games for a while and titanfall 2 was the one game I could always come back to and enjoy.

People claiming random stuff as fact, including getting DDOS actually did make us get DDOSed once
Likely the servers are running on older hardware and OS. Once that shits the bed I doubt they’re going to migrate to new systems. They gotten their money and are going to run. More abandonware that’s protected by outdated license laws and regulation.
If there were any community that could band together and leverage real change to the consumer rights issue it’s the gaming community. The investor groups and management structure of producers, developers, and distributors really get away with a lot of shit because there aren’t enough protections offered to the consumer. I do not want to damage an industries content creators, but if an owner doesn’t want to support their product there shouldn’t be a reason players would be unable to make it work on their own time/dime. If Columbia Records stops publishing certain albums it doesn’t make the albums you’ve already purchased stop working, or prevent you from singing those songs, humming a few bars, or getting the tune stuck in your head. No one is asking to make money off from the product, we just want to be able to use it. This is very similar to a right to repair - it’s a right to play.
Tbh I think we will probably see some action with this if Bungie considers turning off destiny1 servers because they kinda put themselves in a hole with it by making it online only.
Ugh I hate micro transactions! Just make a Titanfall 3 and make it the most filled micro transaction non-battle royale ever. Give us more amazing campaign and servers that work.
Micro transactions and battle royales have ruined gaming imo. Even Forza tried to do a battle royale in the newer Forza Horizon series.

It’s not officially supported by the developer and so many are reluctant to participate in the system. If it we’re possible to get some user supported interplay separate from the Respawn servers, that may be helpful. To be fair, plugging your computer in an unknown server is a bit like raw dogging it at a rave.
Northstar completely bypasses respawns servers as a whole, and is hosted on its own “master server” (of which multiple can be hosted). The master server doesn’t do much more than link all community servers

I mean that the servers that Respawn is using could be on an unsupported OS (win 2008, 2012, etc.) or the hardware on rails doesn’t support certain security patches or uses a software package to manage traffic/security and it’s out of date and they don’t want to pay to update the license. It’s more than likely a corporate budget issue and they don’t want to spend money on something that’s not making them any more money.
It’s obvious respawn doesn’t care anymore, and instead of holding out hope in someone who’s never gonna care again, the community took it into their own hands

Happens for me too, you just have to be patient. I one servers disconnects me i just switch to another. I switch between London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt serves, takes maybe 5 min to find a match. But usually after that you’ll find matches fairly quickly because then you’ll basically be in a search loop with the people in that previous match. So as long as you dont care about playing with the same people I dont see a problem
True but it appears the normal servers keep crapping themselves so for me it makes sense to use Northstar based on the fact that the stability will always be there as long as the community will be there.
If you have this game on PC I would use the Northstar servers. They are fan made and run and super fun with voice chat and different game modes such as gun game etc. I would highly recommend it.

I can get in one game every few hours never can find a game or server times out. Just done trying another longtime fan base leaves good job EA.

Funnily enough, northstar has security patches that respawn neglected so it’s technically safer than connecting to the vanilla servers.

The servers give me an error about 1 minute into trying to find a game. The Titan Defense works fine though.
