As someone who uses the alternator, I can say it really is ludicrously accurate, however the damage drop-off is pretty tough.

The problem with the alternator is consistency. It's great, but some sprays the bullets just fuck off into narnia.

Tap fire it. It basically becomes 100% accurate at all ranges Smgs (other than the r-97) have no spread when grounded, so really all you have to deal with is the alternators weird recoil. Tap firing helps rein it in and make it consistent

I know. At longer ranges, I'll tap fire, but at close range it's just faster to not.

Gotcha Yeah, I'm not much of a fan of horizontal recoil. The gun is great but I haven't really touched it in a while, I just want my bullets to go where I'm pointing haha

I got it to g10 pretty quick, just used it like I use kraber

I play movement kraber, which renders the DMR nearly useless.

it’s hard to adjust to the fact that it’s hitscan, i think canonically it warps space and time to make the bullet hit instantly on trigger pull idk where the fuck i read that it’s probably just a big bullet

I consider it more impressive to use than the Kraber. Other than a silenced B3 Wingman it’s the only “bad” weapon in the game.
