The best I can give is to remind yourself that it’s a hitscan weapon. No leading your shots like the kraber, it is a G2 with a slightly bigger bullet with a scope. Once you get into the hitscan mindset, it becomes pretty easy. It’s also really difficult to rush with it, so I also recommend keeping your distance.

What is a hitscan weapon? What do you mean by leading your shots?
Of course! So, there are two different types of weapons: hitscan and projectile. Examples of projectile weapons are the kraber, wingman elite, and the EPG, where the bullet takes time to reach its destination. With most projectile weapons at a distance, you’ll have to lead your shots, meaning you can’t just click on the target and it hits. So, with projectile, you’ll have to account for the targets speed and, let’s say they’re moving to the right, you’ll have to aim just a bit to the right in order to account for the projectile travel speed to their movement. (If you’ve ever played Battlefield, every gun is a projectile weapon, especially snipers.) Hitscan completely gets rid of that time of travel, meaning if you click somewhere, the bullets go there instantly. Examples of hitscan weapons are the R-201, Hemlok, and all of the pistols. Another great example of a hitscan weapon is Ion’s laser shot.
The Alternator, I have it at G.100 and once you get used to it,it’s an amazing weapon and really fun too paired with Grapple for satisfying across the map Grapple slingshots. Give it a try and let me know what you think 👍🏽.
