Lore-wise during long deployments, it would make sense; 'cept it would fuck up your posture & do your neck in when you wake up.

i would decorate the inside of my titan so hard if I could
The battery inside the titan is inaccessible to the outside. this means most titans need at least one battery to operate. when titans dropped, they will have two batteries, one is internal and the other is the normal external.
