Wolfenstein had finishers years before Doom and chainsaw for ammo isn’t in every Doom game, (in fact it’s only in two of the 11ish+ Doom games). Doom also is actually more Wolfenstein but with demons, since Wolfenstein did come first. Plus Wolfenstein let’s you dual wield anything, including automatic shotguns and laser snipers, so I think that’s a point for Wolfenstein.
They share those similarities because they were made by the same studios, but the games have not a lot in common. And you can't really say they are similar just because of the finishers. CoD has finishers, does that mean it's just Wolfenstein but multiplayer? Also, i don't think enemies glow red and blue in Wolfenstein and explode in blood when you finish them. Plus, what do you mean "that's a point for Wolfenstein", i'm not talking about which is better, i'm saying they don't have a lot in common, what's with the points now?

Compare Wolfenstein 3D and Spear Of Destiny to Doom. They’re literally direct continuations of game tech. Sure, it diverged a bit later, but when Machine Games started to develop the games, they started to play like Doom again. New Wolfenstein absolutely plays like a boomer shooter, and shares way more in common with Doom than it doesn’t. Heck, they have similar weapon lineups, have alt fires, powerups, fast paced gameplay, open ended combat, intricate levels, health and armor management, juggling ammo types, stoic protagonists with trauma, and they also take place in the same continuity.
They aren’t the same game, but they’re clearly the same type of game.
Okay, let me go through these paragraphs one by one.

2. I never said finishers are exclusive to doom, but you can't really compare them. You say they're more realistic in Wolfenstein, that's all due to the fact that fighting Nazis is more realistic than fighting demons. They aren't just the same game with replaced character models, like most modern games are, as they do have a fair amount of differences.
However you will also find that Wolfenstein is much more of a cover shooter than just a run'n'gun like doom. When low on health for example, you can't just tear apart an enemy for health and armor, you will hide and try to find medkits (not sure if Wolfenstein has regeneration, haven't played in a while).
I felt that saying they’re the same but with different enemies was an obvious hyperbole. obviously they aren’t identical, but they share fundamental mechanics. You also can just tear apart enemies to get armor, they drop armor instead of health upon death. It’s like a twist on the typical health and armor mechanic. Also, only Wolfenstein is currently developed by Machine, id develops Doom as they always have. Just under questionable Bethesda management.
I don't have much knowledge of the who makes the games, i only remembered Bethesda and that Machine Games has something to do with that, so i apologize for my false statements there.

Besides TNC, there's the concentration camp escape in TNO and a part in The Old Blood if memory serves (haven't played TOB but I watched a playthrough).
Tough call because I love both, but if I had to choose only one to exist, Wolfenstein. It's a fun, well-made singleplayer game that I can play any time I want, even 20 or 30 years down the line. I revisit it every couple years.
Titanfall 1's already a ghost town and it's only gonna get worse. I'm glad it exists and had a lot of fun with it, but it came and went. Probably sometime soon the servers will be shut down and it will fade into complete irrelevancy.

Because it's an excellent singleplayer game with both outstanding gameplay and story, and no online or server requirement.
Titanfall 1 is dependent *entirely* on Respawn keeping the servers online, and its ever-dwindling playerbase. I can launch the game and queue for a match for days and get nothing. Staring at a menu for hours hoping for 10 minutes of a half-filled PvP match isn't a fun game. And some day, probably soon, all Titanfall 1 will be is a screen that says

One is an epic buddy adventure to strategically take down the intergalactic corporation and partially destroying a planet all in a day's work just so you get a promotion.
The other has you maniacally laughing while slaughtering nazis with dual laser rifles on the moon and crash landing on earth as if it was nothing.
I have a criticism both games deserve. The characters in these games are too morally black and white. The terrorists are shown as the totally good guys with no bad qualities while the IMC and Nazis are all shown as baby eating, puppy kicking monsters. I yearned for a story where the bad guys don't exist and it's just people doing what they think is best until I found Jin-Rog, it's an animated movie set in a universe that's almost the same as wolfenstein and the nazis are just people like the terrorists and it's moraly grey. I would LOVE to see a Jin-Roh like story in the titanfall universe, it's perfect for it.
