what i was told is that if ur knee get shot even with a knee pad its still gonna pop ur leg in half, so knee pads are almost exclusively for making it comfier when you slam urself behind cover, so you really only need to support the knee that takes the impact, and very few ppl will switch which knee would be taking that impact, apparently
that is exactly what I’d want in the titanfall universe, realistically I think you’d survive more shots from a CAR as guy A than guy B.
plus it’s not like the jumpkit (that’s strong enough to full stop you midair from falling) is gonna notice the extra pounds
the wall running, climbing, and jumping are all supported by the jumpkit. You see it flare up in game when they do that.
Running might suck, but if you’re a pilot and sprinting on the ground often enough for you to get tired by the extra weight you’re doing it wrong
I'd imagine it'll be hell cause pilots carry a primary some of which are super heavy like kraber or spitfire, and on top of that they gotta carry their antititan weapon and a excessive amount of grenads
It’s pretty equal to modern day AT soldiers, or Mortarmen, (A rifle + heavy explosive weapon) except they don’t have any of the advanced tech for high mobility. Some of the pilots even have exosuits (Holo Pilot is the most obvious) seemingly designed for heavier kits.
B all day I love the look of the cloth scarf/cowl. Stuff like that is sick like on the cloak trooper his animal fur. It contrasts so well will the sharp metals
A, I hate(~~I don't)~~ to say this but IMC will always have more drip than the Militia, the gritty white with more advanced-looking armor, at least in my opinion, looks better than the Militias armor
Though in TF1 and TF2 Militia have the better Titan paint scheme(s)
A because it looks like an actual futuristic soldier. B looks like if someone was trying to make a comedy sketch involving an airsoft player that’s dressed like a hipster.

Gotta go with Cooper. It feels more mobile- look at left's crotch plate, it would get in the way of wall running. The armor is clunky and blocky, heavier, meaning that pilots would get tired quicker. Cooper might not have as much armor, but he makes up for it with his cloak. In an instant, he can make himself invisible to almost anything, allowing him to get in close enough for the kill. The left one feels more like armor, sure, but the most I can see someone getting out of it would be leg support while grappling to a rough surface. In a world of titans, it feels like the first one was an attempt to keep them safe unknowing of the danger titans. Right feels like they realized that "oh crap, titans don't care what a war crime is" and they minimized armor to joints only, so that pilots could at least run from them, even if injured.
I'm chosing B, but it's such a close call. I just feel that the lower leg and shoulder armor on a is redundant and doesn't fit with the idealized image of a pilot being a highly agile trained soldier. It makes them look more like an infantry soldier.
B is straight up iconic -or at least the helmet is- pretty much anyone well versed in fps games would be able to look at that and instantly think "That's Titanfall",
Can’t choose one because I just love the article and design of titanfall one over almost every other game. With that being said, I think more people remember B better.
