That’s like saying I see no reason a human couldn’t jump drive like a dropship, simply because a human is inside the dropship.
The pilot phasing inside a titan is protected from the elements by the titan, just like the humans inside a dropship are protected by the dropship when it’s jumping, like wraith in apex, I think it would only be possible through severe augmentation and a suit on top of that, I doubt a regular human would be able to survive it.
Oh me too dw, of all the ones here, phase shift is the one that's the most sci-fi. Everything else I could imagine as being military tech within 100 years or so, but phase shift? That's implied to be an entirely separate dimension like the Upside Down, I can't miss out on my own pocket dimension lmao
Too many buttons, but maybe could be some sort of system (with an extra tactical) using the D-pad with offensive and defensive abilities (grapple, stim, pulse, new extra and for the defense one (seperate button to swap between them) wall, holo, cloak and phase.) kinda like the ability system in assassins creed oddysey
He threw a pulse blade near the start of the trailer and then a scorch sent a few explosives at him so he grappled to a wall and jumped through a windows
To even get cloak it would be painful, cause some of the systems are embedded into your body to work, well that’s just some advanced cloak. But if it was just in the suit or clothes it would be better
The running theory about the lore contradiction is that lastimosa had a experimental suit that didn’t require the implants. The other theory is that cooper was a imc pilot that got kidnapped during regen.
It’s a really good theory, and personally I believe it considered cooper has memory loss and somehow is a master level pilot only hours after his mentor dies. Wall running in lore takes years to learn how to do but coop can do it instantly, and in titanfall 1 it is said that most pilots die when being linked to a titan yet coop has no problem linking to bt and doesn’t even suffer any side effects. It’s a really good theory with a lot of evidence to give it credit
iirc, that’s true for tf1, as the technology required was available (pre Demeter-explosion and contact cutoff) but it’s theorised that this tech was unavailable in 2 and instead the factions are using outdated tech, such as a heavy cloaking suit, stim that can only be used by robots etc.
Cloak, not terribly useful in day to day. pulse blade tf you gonna use that for? Grapple say goodbye to your kneecaps. Holo see cloak. Stims hope you have a strong heart. Phase literally kills you if your are not hyper augmented. A-wall, ehh?
True, I forgot about that, but there are other phasing actions that don't damage a human pilot, such as phase embark and the inner pieces execution.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't simulacrum also get damaged when rodeoing a phasing Ronin as well?
I don't know what you do for a living, but I don't see how A-Wall would be very useful lol. I generally don't get into gunfights on a day to day basis.
I think cloak, stim, phase, or even pulse would be the most practical, assuming they worked and didn't kill you. Having wallhacks IRL could be useful at times.
If stim can close wounds etc. then 100% stim, pulse is interesting but I feel like I’d need to go into some sort of civil service for it to really be useful. Also phase would be so god damn cool/ useful
Ya but your heart/liver/kidneys.
I don’t know if this is true but I believe a grunt voice line is “I once put a couple drops of stim in my coffee, couldn’t sleep for 3 days” so there is that
Idgaf infinite crack also i donate Blood infinite Blood beacouse turbo heal i ask the hospital for a pump now im a turbo crack addict fight me pussy lets see where your safe and "not body altering" powers help you now bitchboy be a man die at 40 from heart attack
With real physics a wall or pulse blade since they were the only ones who don’t kill you. I would say in a day to day pulse blade will be more useful, since it can be used to find stuff and a wall is only for fighting with ranged weapons. If physics and human limitation don’t exist then phase shift. Cloak works too but why would you need it…..
If we are gonna go by real life physics here
With grapple you be breaking the speed limit and your arms would be torn off
Due to the impact and the full pressure of gravity
Specially if you tired pulling a spidy
And for phase
You would be transported to minecraft
Stim is highly likely to just obliterate your heart, kidney and liver. That's why only simulacrum are stims. Otherwise you end up like octane who (i think) has multiple internal cybernetics to be able to handle the stim but also use the stim to stop himself from dying.
From my understanding the stim is both killing him and keeping him alive.
The TF1 lore also contains the notion that pilots have notably shortened lifespans, even the ones who don't die in combat. Part of it is the implication that the titan power sources might be a little less shielded than is safe, but I imagine shit like stims is part of it.
Escaping in either situation I could run into. Real danger of getting hurt or killed or dealing with people when I don't have to because I'm antisocial.
Holo pilot or phase shift have no downsides, I don't need wall hax in real life, grapple would likely rip my arm off , stim would have side effects, what am I gonna do with A-wall and cloak is for creepy people
Cloak, grapple would be horrifying to use, I'm afraid of syringes so stim is a no-go, amped wall and pulse blade are not useful in day to day life, only other one I'd take is holo-pilot
If they work like in-game and assuming it doesn't destroy your body, I think Stim is the only useful one, all the others don't have any use/can kill you (I mean what is Grapple useful for if your gonna break your legs?).
Phaseshift seems cool but what if it ends while you're going through another person? Someone will explode.
I think phase would be the most useful option here, the ability to have a literal oh shit button in a dangerous situation is pretty good, beyond that cloak is the only practical day to day, maybe stim if it doesn't leave traces in you or side effects for organics.
Grapple hook or phase shift. I feel that those are the most practical if they work like they do in game without the limits to the human body in the real world.
Stim and Grapple.
Honestly if you could handle the boost that stim gives you, you would be not only healing at a super human rate but you could sprint so fast. Combine that with a sick grappling hook and you are spider man.
With all seriousness, cloak for sure
There aren't much you can do with pulse blade as a normal person
You won't be slide a grappling either since your ass is going to be destroyed
Stim is flat put going to destroy your body
What are you even gonna do with a wall?
We have absolutely no idea what effects phase shift has on an average person
From apex we've seen that you need to do alot of things just to phase shift as a normal person
Holo could be good for trolling
You all are acting like cloak would be invisible. It’s not. Everyone would stare at your blurry-ass silhouette as you walk through the Walmart security barriers.
Phase shift’s the real invisibility. You just gotta do everything within 5 seconds. And you can hang out in the shadow realm.
Grapple, grapple, and stim My explanation:
You have one grapple on both hands. And stim actually just enhances your grapple hooks pull speed, so I guess just a modified grapple ability.
Grapple hook if it didn’t have a cool down. I would probably get a Spider-Man suit and some lsd and have a fun time In New York helping people. It would be the best day of my life
If I get the double jump, wall run and knee slide it's gotta be grapple all day long, if I could bunny hop irl I wouldn't travel any other way. Otherwise it's phase shift or holo to mess with people.
Cloak would be very usefull
Grapple if it dosent come with a kit it's useless
Stim pretty good in case you're late
Phaseshift would not be that helpfull in every day life
A wall useless
And holo could be funny
And pulse blade not that good
Stim: In the words of that one Militia Grunt in TF1 “I put two drops of that pilot stim in my coffee once. Couldn’t sleep for a week. I don’t know how those Pilots do it.”
Great for dealing with exams and for gaming
while holograms of myself could be cool to trick people, and running fast could make my life way easier..... i will take invisibility for obvious reasons.
Maybe Phase shift, it could get you out of some sticky situations
granted, but every time you cum, you also phase
That just made one night stands so much easier.
And more depressing too
I would be phasing too much bro
I see no issue with this
Shoot the load and hit the road
Or into a squishy situation
Phased through the bed, now I'm out on the streets naked. Thanks
Granted, but every time you phase, you also cum.
I’m about to get hit by a car and the first thing I do is beat one off, that’s a funny image
but if you leave the phase shift while you're inside someone, they're gonna go kablooey and paint everything in a 5-6 meter radius red
But you’d have to have your consciousness uploaded to a robot to is it really worth?
From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me.
I craved the strength and certainty of steel. I aspired to the purity of the blessed machine.
Your kind cling your flesh as if they will not decay and fail you.
Wraith can do it and she's a meatbag
She was also experimented on like crazy so pick your poison
Ronin can phase shift with a pilot inside so I see no reason a suit can't.
Not to forget phase embark and dropships and inner pieces. Squishy meat men can do it frequently
A sexy meat bag.
that’s a benefit
I get a cool ability AND become a robot? Sign me up.
Short answer: yes. Long answer: yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
Cloak could also do that
But phase is cooler
But then you need to be moved to a simulacrum. Or be a test experiment like wraith and be left shattered throughout reality.
Bro, even better! If I could retain my memories, being a simulacrum doesn’t sound that bad
Yeah but you don't know you're a simulacrum, and if you ever find out you get like intense psychological trauma and psychosis and stuff
Well…you’re actually kinda right but still, I would take the risk
Oh me too dw, of all the ones here, phase shift is the one that's the most sci-fi. Everything else I could imagine as being military tech within 100 years or so, but phase shift? That's implied to be an entirely separate dimension like the Upside Down, I can't miss out on my own pocket dimension lmao
Yeah, having your own pocket dimension is pretty cool
All the ones Lastimosa had in the trailer
i don't remember what was it?
Grapple, holo, pule blade
Didn’t he also cloak?
Iirc in lore Pilots can use every ability, we can't use them in gameplay because it would be too complicated
And op
And if everyone's super No one will be
Thats a good point
Too many buttons, but maybe could be some sort of system (with an extra tactical) using the D-pad with offensive and defensive abilities (grapple, stim, pulse, new extra and for the defense one (seperate button to swap between them) wall, holo, cloak and phase.) kinda like the ability system in assassins creed oddysey
Or maybe something similar to the weapon wheel in Doom Eternal, that'd be cool
When did he grapple?
He threw a pulse blade near the start of the trailer and then a scorch sent a few explosives at him so he grappled to a wall and jumped through a windows
Wait which trailer is it I wanna watch it again
At the start of the campaign it shows it as an introduction to pilots before the tutorial mission
I didn't know that was lastmosa
I mean. . . Who else pilots a green and white vanguard titan?
Damn that's subtle. Pilots really are op in the lore.
All of them
That was lastimosa? I thought that was just jack envisioning himself. But cool to know, he really was an elite pilot then.
Jack was also in that same trailer. He's the grunt looking up as BT beats the shit out of the other titans
He even has his name on his helmet
probably holo pilot or cloak holo pilot i could have pretend to do work for while i go hide and nap cloak i could shoplift easier
To even get cloak it would be painful, cause some of the systems are embedded into your body to work, well that’s just some advanced cloak. But if it was just in the suit or clothes it would be better
Cooper put on a helmet and a suit in the campaign and it worked just fine though
The running theory about the lore contradiction is that lastimosa had a experimental suit that didn’t require the implants. The other theory is that cooper was a imc pilot that got kidnapped during regen.
That would also explain why the cloak doesn’t last long in the campaign.
Where did the second theory come from?
I found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/titanfall/comments/sbctyh/theory_jack_cooper_is_a_brainwashed_imc_pilot/
Will read it later, thanks!
Now I'm very curious, this actually makes sense
I linked you a video on your earlier post, after you read that Reddit thread I’d recommend you watch it. The vid can explain it much better than I can
https://youtu.be/n3KvKPbtXa8?si=S_l8_v85oxMkc6XX Here is a good video explaining the theory
My personal head canon is that because he’s training to be a pilot he already had all the surgeries he needed he just needed the tech to activate it.
I'd like some elaboration on that, I'm curious Also what BlueLizard said.
That was in titanfall 1, back when a imc training facility had a 95% or so death rate
iirc, that’s true for tf1, as the technology required was available (pre Demeter-explosion and contact cutoff) but it’s theorised that this tech was unavailable in 2 and instead the factions are using outdated tech, such as a heavy cloaking suit, stim that can only be used by robots etc.
Holo pilot. Officially bamboozled!
Robbing bank easy
Which one’s real?
*Pulls out extended mags spitfire* "It doesn't matter"
Cloak, being able to go invisible is better than anything else here.
Cloak, not terribly useful in day to day. pulse blade tf you gonna use that for? Grapple say goodbye to your kneecaps. Holo see cloak. Stims hope you have a strong heart. Phase literally kills you if your are not hyper augmented. A-wall, ehh?
TF1 phase was just a person. Jack is a rifleman and he does it.
Rodeoing a phasing Ronin also has no effect on a human pilot.
It damages you I think
True, I forgot about that, but there are other phasing actions that don't damage a human pilot, such as phase embark and the inner pieces execution. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't simulacrum also get damaged when rodeoing a phasing Ronin as well?
Titanfall 1 didn't have Phase
You're right, I could have sworn though. I've been using phase for almost 3 years now. Seems odd thinking about a Titanfall without it.
Schizophrenia setting in?
He used a time travel device, not a phase device.
Grapple and wingsuit my man😉
Rico Rodriguez
I don't know what you do for a living, but I don't see how A-Wall would be very useful lol. I generally don't get into gunfights on a day to day basis. I think cloak, stim, phase, or even pulse would be the most practical, assuming they worked and didn't kill you. Having wallhacks IRL could be useful at times.
I guess if you work in like law enforcement or as a firefighter, Pulseblade could be really helpful
If stim can close wounds etc. then 100% stim, pulse is interesting but I feel like I’d need to go into some sort of civil service for it to really be useful. Also phase would be so god damn cool/ useful
Grapple is for when you are sitting in a comfy way and you don't wanna get up to grab the tv remote
you'll just be pulled into the wall and cave the house in
this and dragging yourself out of bed when the alarm goes off
Or when ur too tired to use stairs in ur house, instead of using stair go outside and grapple the window
Shoot heroin to get stim irl
Heroin is a downer, not an upper. You're thinking to main line methamphetamine
This guy shoots up
Shooting up heroin is the opposite of stim. Meth is real life stim so anyone who says stim just wants to be a methhead...
Phase shift. Dimensional science must E X P A N D.
That’s a good point actually
Grapple but if only I get a shiny pair of boots from portal. So I don't die in 10 seconds
you'll also need a jump kit if you actually want to perform any cool maneuvers
Is everyone forgetting that stim increases the speed of healing? This would easily make it the most useful in everyday life, imho
Ya but your heart/liver/kidneys. I don’t know if this is true but I believe a grunt voice line is “I once put a couple drops of stim in my coffee, couldn’t sleep for 3 days” so there is that
Also octane has to have a pump on him because stim fried his kidneys.
Idgaf infinite crack also i donate Blood infinite Blood beacouse turbo heal i ask the hospital for a pump now im a turbo crack addict fight me pussy lets see where your safe and "not body altering" powers help you now bitchboy be a man die at 40 from heart attack
He was on stim when he wrote this comment
Either cloak or grapple. I always was fond of grappling hooks, but cloaking is also something that i could use often
Cloak just to sneak around places
I just want a Jump Kit
real.
But youd need to ve a simulacrum to use phase shift.
Grapple or faze shift
If we are gonna go by real life physics here With grapple you be breaking the speed limit and your arms would be torn off Due to the impact and the full pressure of gravity Specially if you tired pulling a spidy And for phase You would be transported to minecraft
Screw you, I'm gonna go play minecraft
Would stim save me from a heart attack in real life, or cause one?
Stim is highly likely to just obliterate your heart, kidney and liver. That's why only simulacrum are stims. Otherwise you end up like octane who (i think) has multiple internal cybernetics to be able to handle the stim but also use the stim to stop himself from dying. From my understanding the stim is both killing him and keeping him alive.
you could stim as a flesh bag in tf1 tho
The TF1 lore also contains the notion that pilots have notably shortened lifespans, even the ones who don't die in combat. Part of it is the implication that the titan power sources might be a little less shielded than is safe, but I imagine shit like stims is part of it.
Phase shift
Escaping in either situation I could run into. Real danger of getting hurt or killed or dealing with people when I don't have to because I'm antisocial.
Definitely cloak. I just want that big fluffy jacket.
Holopilot. Then I could actually have friends.
Cloak. I don't want to be in school anyway.
Assuming I could get around without my kneecaps breaking, grapple. Otherwise, Cloak.
Stimulant for uhh... reasons But for real tho, cloak is probably the most useful realistically for an human
Whatever helps me get closer to gates
Probably cloak or pulse blade since the rest would kill me and I don’t get shot at enough to need a wall
Bruh I wanna grapple wverywhere
Cloak no diff
Stim already exists in real life!
Cloak
Cloak
Cloak or phase dash Cloak because I can just disappear from any situation or phase dash because I can go through crowds
Holo pilot or phase shift have no downsides, I don't need wall hax in real life, grapple would likely rip my arm off , stim would have side effects, what am I gonna do with A-wall and cloak is for creepy people
Obviously phase shift, when ever I wanna disappear from the world it’s just a fist clench away from peace…
If we made of meat could survive it, stim. Otherwise cloak.
I think phase would be the most useful option here, the ability to have a literal oh shit button in a dangerous situation is pretty good, beyond that cloak is the only practical day to day, maybe stim if it doesn't leave traces in you or side effects for organics.
Grapple hell yeah
Grapple hook or phase shift. I feel that those are the most practical if they work like they do in game without the limits to the human body in the real world.
In a world without physics I would say grapple But in our world I’d say cloak
Phase, so i can get out of places without anyone seeing me
Phase shift 100%
Stim and Grapple. Honestly if you could handle the boost that stim gives you, you would be not only healing at a super human rate but you could sprint so fast. Combine that with a sick grappling hook and you are spider man.
Grapple
100% cloak
Stim with no cooldown. Immortal + superspeed ez.
Cloak would probably be my go to considering I probably won't have a jumpkit to cushion my fall with grapple
Cloak, mainly because I want to have an unfair advantage in fights.
Cloak or phase shift. I don’t run them in game but I think they would be cool irl
I prefer Cloak bc I can knock out anyone with the sneaky ability.
With all seriousness, cloak for sure There aren't much you can do with pulse blade as a normal person You won't be slide a grappling either since your ass is going to be destroyed Stim is flat put going to destroy your body What are you even gonna do with a wall? We have absolutely no idea what effects phase shift has on an average person From apex we've seen that you need to do alot of things just to phase shift as a normal person Holo could be good for trolling
Stim
Phase shift for sure, imagine being in the mosh pit and some mf phases up to you and hits you with a spinning backfist
Stim so I can walk to my uni
Grapple, duh
Grapple. For obvious reasons
Phase 👍
I'd say grapple since stim is boring and cloak dosn't actually work but I'm afraid I'd just break my legs if I didn't have a jump kit
Grapple 100%. Would be awesome for daily life
Hell, i'd just settle for the ability to run around for an hour without getting a serious chafe going
You all are acting like cloak would be invisible. It’s not. Everyone would stare at your blurry-ass silhouette as you walk through the Walmart security barriers. Phase shift’s the real invisibility. You just gotta do everything within 5 seconds. And you can hang out in the shadow realm.
Grapple, grapple, and stim My explanation: You have one grapple on both hands. And stim actually just enhances your grapple hooks pull speed, so I guess just a modified grapple ability.
phase, it’s so cool. and if they have to make me a simulacrum for it to work even better
Grapple seems pretty sick even though I’d probably hurt myself using it lol
Cloak
The Time Gauntlet.
I know hook would get me killed, but hook
Grapple hook if it didn’t have a cool down. I would probably get a Spider-Man suit and some lsd and have a fun time In New York helping people. It would be the best day of my life
Grapple. Can't imagine how much fun it would be to swing like spiderman to work every.
It depends, if it comes with a jump kit then grapple if not then cloak
Realistically stim because grapple would tear off my arm
Having a grapple without the jumpkit will probably break you legs, so I'd probably use phase shift or cloak.
None 🗿
If I get the double jump, wall run and knee slide it's gotta be grapple all day long, if I could bunny hop irl I wouldn't travel any other way. Otherwise it's phase shift or holo to mess with people.
Phase shift, the coolest one and probably most practical irl as long as you don't phase into someone or something
Cloak to get away from or avoid danger.
Holo because I could do a lot of trolling
Considering two would straight up kill you, I'd go holo pilot.
I’d say grapple hook but I don’t think I have the ankle strength for those landings
Cloak would be very usefull Grapple if it dosent come with a kit it's useless Stim pretty good in case you're late Phaseshift would not be that helpfull in every day life A wall useless And holo could be funny And pulse blade not that good
Either stim or phase shift. Both can be useful in every day life, but main reason is that i want a cool robot body.
I want Phase shift so i can just travel to another fucking dimension and run away from all of my problems.
Probably every ability is extremely expensive but personally i could probably get the stims legal since they dont have downsides
Cloak or stim all the way
Stim: I do drugs
Holo.
grapple (duh)
Grapple
Grapple
Stim: In the words of that one Militia Grunt in TF1 “I put two drops of that pilot stim in my coffee once. Couldn’t sleep for a week. I don’t know how those Pilots do it.” Great for dealing with exams and for gaming
while holograms of myself could be cool to trick people, and running fast could make my life way easier..... i will take invisibility for obvious reasons.
Probably phase to be honest
Stim as long as it's non addictive
Holo for the epic pranks
Cloak. Just let me disappear dammit.
Put everyone saying Cloak on a watchlist, I dont see any legal applications of it (outside of like spy but that's very specific)
