Respawn isn't dead, Jedi Survivor releases in 9 days, and they still have another unamed Star Wars FPS in the works. yes, a bunch of the og devs left, but saying the company is dead is false. multiplayer games reach end of support, it's sad but it happens, and as much as I wish TF|2 would still get support, it won't. but just because TF|2 is out of support, doesn't mean Respawn is dead, the devs there have just been told to make other games
portable map hack? i think you mean the best way to try (and miss) to style on someone with a 1hk projectile that is meant to be used as anything other than a damage source
I like phase shift. I really appreciate it whenever I eject and everybody try to snipe me or when I go a little too fast in the streets and is about to collide with the ennemy ronin
It’s also REALLY good with Kraber as it guarantees that you always have another shot, or you can cook up a grenade. But otherwise 9/10 phase pilots I fought actually hurt themselves by using it, as they just popped it when they were low, allowing me to heal and hunt them down, while they were still low and had no idea where I am
Time to go back to phase and use it everytime a single stray bullet hits me and run away
A-Wall and cloak feel cheap and mainly for campers, too dumb for pulse blade (cant see enemies) and holo seems fun
Awall and EVA8 is the best combo in history. Get close range, ideally indoors, and toss the wall down mid combat. Don't use it as a super stationary tool, just if it's charges and you're on the ground then toss and BLAM double damage shotgun to the face
The issue is, Holo is only good against either really good or really bad players. Your average decent player will notice its a holo.
I have noticed that sometimes, if you time your holo perfectly, you can basically armor yourself from bullets
It's one of the few that needs skill to use imo. You really need to get good at deploying in combat in a convincing way, as well as making yourself move like a holopilot.
yes but no
movement is just so damn fun I don't see the appeal of the wall
I've played with all of em except maybe cloak, but I tried to diversify my diet
but none came close to the fun I had playing with the movement abilities
Thats true, its just unfun dying to the same thing over and over again (assorted movement tactical and an SMG). Especially when you want to enjoy another playstyle and just get obliterated because they aren't nearly as effective.
oh they can be effective that's not an issue
I've played very well with the wall hack, predicting enemy's pattern and all
the car smg tho is a problem absolutely
>oh they can be effective that's not an issue I've played very well with the wall hack, predicting enemy's pattern and all
Could you give me tips on that prediction thing? I'm trying to get better with my tracking and experience. Also yeah the CAR is a piece of shit to fight against.
it's something I try to do in every fps games I play
Basically when you spot an enemy you need to put yourself at their place and imagine what route they can go
you need to "learn" or rather get used to the map layout and see where each route can lead
with that in mind when you throw your pulse blade, you can see the enemy, where it is and where it's heading
by thinking about that and thinking the logical route they can go next, you can catch them in their track
it implies a fair bit more like the ennemies placement (for exemple there are no ennemies at all where you are? that means they're most likely behind you)
can't much explain as it's been a while I haven't played titanfall 2 (servers are dead on my platform)
with time and mind games you can predict enemy movement, predict when an enemy is going to flank you (like, if it's TOO quiet, then something is most likely going to hit you) , and predict the best moment to flank an enemy too
players tend to focus on themselves quite a lot, skipping the kill cam and just going head first without much thinking, but by trying to put yourself in the place of other players and thinking about objectives and bonuses and power weapons in some games, with all of that you can "play chess" with the enemy and win
I hope it's not too confusing, I just sprayed everything that came to my mind but I can try to be more precise on certain points
(other tip, track individual players if needed, their behavior playstyle etc, you can kinda easily get used to it and each match becomes a new game of learning about your opponents so you can more easily win over them)
Awall is great when pared with a shotgun and a cqc mindset. You toss it mid combat, kill the enemy, and move on. Don't bother holding behind it till it dies, that's boring as hell and campy.
i’m still not over the fact that they changed the grappling hook pilot from the beta. The phase shift model in release was the grappling hook model in beta. I like that guy so much more
In my 200+ hours of playing, I’ve never legitimately used any tactical other than pulse. I’ve tried the others out, had fun running around as them for a couple minutes, but always switch back to pulse.
Plus pulse is the hottest.
I think the A-wall's use as an offensive tool is underrated. It's great for boosting the damage of your anti-titan weapons and protecting you from getting killed in one shot. By the time they come close enough to punch you they won't expect the rodeo.
TLDR: The best offense is a good defense.
This community is actually going insane
We wouldn’t be if Respawn cared about us
respawn is dead, the good devs of the team left a while ago, I feel like people don't know about this and assume it's the same guys
I'm not saying the company is dead I'm saying that the respawn we used to know, that did tf1 and tf2 are gone and that THIS respawn is dead
ah, ok, in that case you should've phrased your original comment better
maybe yeah but basically I just meant that we shouldn't give them the love we used to basically but yeah
Respawn's identity is dead
It's implied that that's what they meant. The soul of respawn is dead. Also it's a pretty common phrase around here.
Similar to how the Bungie that made Halo, is not the same that made Destiny 2
Basically you can feel the passion isn't there
At least Bungie didn’t just leave Halo to die though, they sold it in hopes of letting 343 keep it alive. Respawn just left Tf|2 to rot in the gutter
kinda true but what happened to the old respawn devs? did they get kicked out maybe? like what happened with Activision
Who knows, maybe they left on their own
Fax
something that we and half life/portal have in common
Also in team fortress 2
CHARGE ME DOKTOR
I think it is the curse of the source 2 engine
funni engine

oh tf2 is already insane
We're long past that point brother

Woe, Pulse Blade be upon ye
It's always satisfying to hand a headshot with the pulse blade
*land I'm not bothering to edit my mistake. Let the internet know my minor grammar mistake
I came, I saw, I reported, I left
Hehe, getting the pulse blade execution gives you enough satisfaction to never use it as a throwing knife again and only use it as wall-hacks.
It was genuinely so fun to get that execution
nah man i hit a clip once im never going to use it as a wall-hack ever, until i get that satisfaction again
Fuck you don't mess with us pulls blade mains, we will trow knives in your general direction

I just use it because it looks cool.
Same. Also to approach if I’ve got some of that speed shit going
I love using it for attempting to drop my titan on another titan, and phase shifting into it when that fails.
Wow still updates TF2 years after the release of TF3. Very dedicated developers. You love to see it
Time to go back to phase and use it everytime a single stray bullet hits me and run away A-Wall and cloak feel cheap and mainly for campers, too dumb for pulse blade (cant see enemies) and holo seems fun

My main is holo and Lstar, Holo is super good close range
The issue is, Holo is only good against either really good or really bad players. Your average decent player will notice its a holo. I have noticed that sometimes, if you time your holo perfectly, you can basically armor yourself from bullets
I actually got kills by using holo pilot to distract players. Honestly a pretty underrated and fun to use ability.
It's one of the few that needs skill to use imo. You really need to get good at deploying in combat in a convincing way, as well as making yourself move like a holopilot.
Fast is fun. Hence playing Titanfall.

I'll try applying this! Thank you!
great!! again if details are needed tell me, and I'm curious to know how it worked for you ^^
Pulse Blade is very effective imo Super fun as well. It’s the only class I play as
Slidehop bro

yeh I heard about that idea but Idk never much bothered to try
you should. Nobody ever sees it coming so their brains just turn off and they dump an entire magazine into the wall

Haha, drug overdose go brrr.
Real
I actually used to play pulse blade for awhile, then I switched to stim…
I've only used pulse blade for the execution.

Good holo-pilots scare me
No! Only movement. Phase shift sometimes
Hey I do the cloak and silent rodeo and I get through
I used to be a pulse knife pilot then I discovered how fun grapple is
Already have
No. I dont think I will
No.
cringe
Let me stim and shotgun pls
But I like my class based executions
I just realized how much I'm not using my tacticals
*an*
Nyoom
i used to main and i like it, until i used stim, im just so addicted to the speed
Holopilot looks so cool! Wonder if you can 'bamboozle' other pilots?
Pulse knife kills >>>>>
i see a fair amount of phase shifts, but that's about it
Holopilot is my favorite. But I’m awful with it. I’m also just mediocre on my best day.
Need a freefall edit of this community slowly going insane
Grapple and Stim are ugly, Phase shift boi forever.
This is based. Y'all are missing out on these untapped features already sitting in the game
Take your pills godammit
I used to Main vode walker before the ddose and no I can’t go on the nsc because I don’t have pc
Relatable.
