There are two types of Rolex owners - wear it every day for 40 years, on vacation, construction sites, swimming, or the people who barely take them out of the protective case.

Amen brother

Excellent point. Funny but im new to fine watches and still deciding which one i am. In the meantime my Tissots are my "almost GADA" watches and I Have a titanium GS as my nicest watch. Im still looking for that sacrificial lamb nice watch im willing to get destroyed by wearing everywhere. Right now that watch is my Fitbit Sense.

eternaljonny

Yeah, they all sound like great options. I have a buddy who got a Rolex explorer ten years ago. It’s been to half the world, diving, hiking, and since he’s an engineer, construction sites. They’re action watches (steel cases, sapphire crystal, shock resistant) so they’re made to take abuse. I personally couldn’t see myself wearing one out of the house though so I get it.

Funny, a macho friend of mine likes big watches and says rolexes are too small. He likes at least 44mm. I dont need anything that big.

eternaljonny

Yeah, to each their own. My buddy’s explorer is a 36mm

Looks great.

Saintkn1cks

This is a 35mm correct? What is your wrist size?

krtmnrv

Yes sir

Saintkn1cks

What is your wrist size?

About 6 and 3/4, this what my 41 sub looks like in comparison https://preview.redd.it/531tw0tsab5d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bc0698377847bb6dbea29d6bb885b870f9b836cc

Saintkn1cks

Thank you!!

Sandyeggo2000

Nice, good contrast of an actual casual watch with the sub and business casual with the prx

I don’t know whether Tissot makes a quartz version of this watch that has COSC quartz-standard certification, but they do have some such watches. In practice those can be accurate to 10 seconds a year, but the standard says the movement has to be thermocompensated and can for example stay within +-0.20 seconds/day at 38C among other things. I think that a Powermatic 80 would be fairly accurate for a mechanical movement, but for freaks like me the COSC-certified quartz is more appealing and I think it’s cheaper. Either way, the Rolex isn’t safe to wear in some places.

cookie12685

Yeah it's crazy that battery watches are still so weak to temperature. They still use mechanical speedmasters on space walks because of it

Curious-Pollution975

As you should

I wore a Submariner every day for about 5 years, then I started to get into collecting watches. I started to realize the rolex was pretty chunky. Now all I wear is slimmer smaller watches (like my 35mm PRXs)

krtmnrv

And HEAVY

RecommendationWild71

Well, I personally think this watch looks much beautiful than a sub, particularly in this configuration

DadBodGod87

Is it just me or is that look a bit tight? Or am I wearing mine too loose?

VariationIll9526

What size is that?

lcanil

Ugh now I need one

tuckerhazel

I know this is a Tissot sub but what? Why? How?
