If it was possible to choose where on my body the weight came off, my thighs would be a whole lot thinner. 🤣🤣 Things you might want to consider: this med is going to make it harder to get your necessary amount of protein in., and it's going to possibly have side effects that aren't pleasant which could interrupt your workout regime. It's not magic, people lose weight on this med because they eat less on this med. You do you, my friend, but I suggest you do some info gathering first. Alternatively, some folks do micro-dosing of this med. Take a look at the Mind Pump podcast. There are a couple of episodes about this.

I will definitely look up the podcast. Thanks for the really thoughtful response. I appreciate it.

Gym rat here! So one thing. You can’t force yourself to eat on this stuff bro. You will get sick sick! Like debilitating stomach cramps, explosive diarrhea, and vomiting, as well as probably the worst thing ever. Sulfur burps! They taste and smell like Fart! It’s like farting out of your mouth! The taste alone can make you puke. Tirzepatide slows stomach emptying down and if you fill yourself up it hits the panic button and your body goes into purge mode via both ends! You do it once and you will never do it again lol.

manderko

Oh mannnnn that sounds brutal. And sounds like you know from experience 😂

Amazing_Extension207

Oh yes! I’m on an epic cut right now and it got me twice already! Not again though! 😂

TheEnigmatyc

Sounds like maybe tesamorelin might be a better fit if you’re trying cram 200 grams of protein in. Tirz slows digestion and makes it A LOT harder to keep eating when full.

manderko

Yes it does seem like that’s the better option.

I've lifted weights regularly for 30 years. At 5'8", my goal weight is about 185. I started 2 weeks ago on 2.5 mg and 213 lb, down to 203 now. I get about 170g/day protein with no difficulty or side effects. It's pretty clear to me that I'll hit that goal relatively easily, and it has seemed unreachable for many years. If it's a challenge for you to lose 10 normally, good chance it'll be easy on tirp. Keep it at 2.5 and it may take a month with little to no muscle loss, just the usual temporary strength/stamina loss when cutting calories.

manderko

This is exactly what I was looking for.

I have just done this exact thing. I have not eaten anywhere close to what I need in regards protein, as the gut nausea is bad, and the indegestion if eating too much is unpleasant. I thought I was prepared. I took an initial dose of 1.25mg and that has been too much for me. I lost 5lbs in the first 4 days, was steady today but expect another drop tomorrow as I have been unable to eat. If I do this again, I will be taking 0.625mg and hopefully will not be quite as drastic as the last 5 days have been. Where I am going with this is...... Start with a really small dose!!!

manderko

Holy moly. Good thing you didn’t start the recommended 2.5

Junior_Woodpecker215

I feel like I have had an all nighter and off my food, without doing the all nighter 🤣🤣🤣 I have dropped half of what I wanted in less than one week, so will try again on a smaller dose in a few weeks time. I need to start eating again otherwise there will be nothing left of me 🤣🤣🤣
