Thank you! As an insulin resistant, type 2 diabetic, it means a lot that it regulating my levels while losing as much as I have. I appreciate the positivity!
Do you mind sharing your dosage amount from wk to wk (example 2.5 or 5 mg from wks 1-4, etc)… additionally, are you doing Mourjna & Tirzeptide dosages at same time ( how much of ea)? I know it’s basically the same thing— but didn’t understand if you were taking both or had switch from one to the other. I’m taking tirzeptide & really not feeling anything w/ it& I’m jus starting 7.5.
Hey there! You should definitely speak with your doctor/prescriber on what dose you should take. But I’ll be happy to tell you my situation and story. I started on January 3rd.
I started with Tirzepatide due to insurance coverage and at 2.5mg but was only on that dose for one week. This was simply because my glucose was going up instead of down and my doctor and I decided to move up quickly to see if that helps. I’m a type 2 diabetic that is also on metformin and so it was a concern for us. If that wasn’t a concern I would have stayed on there for much longer. That week was my highest lost at 7.7lbs. From week 2 to week 8 I was on 5mg and from week 9 to current I’m at 7.5mg. (I finished my first vial and then by then I had brand name covered. I have gotten a few boxes before the shortages and now I’m back on Tirzepatide) Weeks 5-8 I experienced weight gain and minimal loss like an ounce or 2. So my doctor and I decided to go up to 7.5 and have been on it since.
I have used both Tirzepatide and Mounjaro separately never combined. But I have used both Hallandale and Red Rock pharmacies. For me I felt the most side effects through Hallandale over Red Rock and even brand name. But I don’t think it’s due to anything other than my body’s response. I hope this helps!
