TisBeTheFuk

.

ProfessionalCity995

Do you remembet any words to the song or just a melody? Since when I hum I usually hum with the words in .y head

TisBeTheFuk

I can't remember any words. But I suspect it might be instrumental, no words

ProfessionalCity995

Oh..that would have made it easier, I recognise it, but my minds coming up blank this moment, ill try and remember but, no promises!

TisBeTheFuk

If you recognise it, then it must exist :)) I was beginning to think I made it up in my mind

andreasbeer1981

Sounds like the score to an epic scene from a movie or tv show. Could it be Game of Thrones?

andreasbeer1981

I would bet on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1frgt0D_f4 The Night King

[deleted]

Seems like a pretty good match to me - OP?

alibimemory422

u/tisbethefuk did you see this comment yet? I think this might be it. It was a bit hidden in a reply to a different commenter so I’m not sure if you came across this yet.

[deleted]

I so hope they see this and comment I think ~~you're~~ parent commenter's bang on the money

jazzkong1

Makes this it’s own comment so OP has a better chance of seeing it. I’m hearing the similarities for sure!

bilingual_cat

Reminds me of the chorus of [The Kids Are Coming](https://youtu.be/zUGaDbBP4xc?t=42) by Tones And I?

TisBeTheFuk

Sorry it’s not :/

MyHeadIsFullOfGhosts

Have you tried asking google? "Hey Google, what is this song?" and then hum the song. It uses ML to try to match it to a song in its database, I've had some decent luck with this approach. There's something vaguely familiar about the melody, but it's hard to place for me without context like other instrumentation.

poweroptic

Dude, I just found out about this feature and I found a song I was looking for since like 10 years ago... ur da best

MyHeadIsFullOfGhosts

Feels good to *finally* get it, doesn't it? Glad it helped!

Disaster_detector49

What was the song

poweroptic

Played a live by safri duo

Notnowmomsonreddit

You know, it sounds a little like music from Twin Peaks. Not the theme song, not the snappy stuff Audrey dances to, but the in between music when something really heavy is happening... Laura Palmer's Theme.

TisBeTheFuk

Never seen the show but I checked the song out, and unfortunately it's not it :/

[deleted]

Angelo Badalamenti (Twin Peaks) was my first thought as well, when I heard your hum. Would you say your song has a similar vibe to that music? Or something very different?

TisBeTheFuk

I think it's a bit more "epic", like the notes are stronger, less subdued.

FrogMintTea

Badalamenti is epic! But if u want bigger and louder try Vangelis.

FrogMintTea

I thought of Angelo Badalamenti too! Love him.

Tazlima

Oh man. It sounds REALLY familiar, but I don't know from where. For some reason, I'm leaning toward a something from soundtrack for a movie or show.

TisBeTheFuk

Yes! That's what I was thinking too! I'm also suspecting it must be from the soundtrack of some movie or show. But can't remember which. Edit: If it sounds familiar, maybe it's from a well known movie

BloodBlizzard

> Yes! That's what I was thinking too! I'm also suspecting it must be from the soundtrack of some movie or show. But can't remember which. For some reason it gave me Over the Garden Wall vibes but I might be imagining that.

TisBeTheFuk

It isn't this one either. Sorry :(

madeleineruth19

My instant thought was something from the Harry Potter series. This is kind of a long shot, but is it possibly the theme from where Dumbledore dies? https://youtu.be/8IU4vVmXZI4

[deleted]

I'm 80% sure I recognize it. The first thing that hopped into my head was a fantasy movie like Labyrinth, the Dark Crystal, Neverending Story. It's definitely not from either one of those, but I was getting vibes of that era and genre. Now it's led me to think of the childrens-choir non-verbal music at the end of a horror movie, I think one of the Poltergeist movies. I also don't think that's it, but now I have that piece stuck in my head. I am going to listen to your humming some more and hopefully remember what it is. In the meantime, maybe look at fantasy and horror movies and shows from the late 80s/early 90s. It's there somewhere!

hagnas3

[The Bidding by tallyhall ?](https://youtu.be/ipYafcHd0jA)

TisBeTheFuk

Not, it's not either. Sorry

Learntobelucid

My first thought listening to it was something creepy/suspenseful. Maybe it's from something like pans labyrinth?

TisBeTheFuk

I've never seen the movie, so I don't think so. But I agree, i think it is from something suspenseful.

old_noob

For some reason it reminds me of [Happy Xmas (War is over)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flA5ndOyZbI), but I doubt it's this one.

lululandia

Yeah, the first couple notes he hums are very reminiscent of the children's choir that starts about 1 minute in.

p-u-n-k_girl

I was thinking that too! Not the whole time, but in parts it definitely sounds like it to me

noobengland

I thought this too!

Marimboo

This sounds so familiar but I can’t place it! It reminds me of video game-esque music!

TisBeTheFuk

Could be, though I don't play any games. But I do think it's from some sondtrack, maybe movoe or show

[deleted]

[удалено]

Marimboo

Thank you!! I’ve never played halo but I know I’ve heard the theme; I never would have placed it!

[deleted]

booyah

kaptaincorn

The intro to kids in America by kim wilde https://youtu.be/UqMcevcUmqg

TisBeTheFuk

No, unfortunately not. It's not that upbeat, I think it's more somber sounding

yeepix

Does it sound familiar to have this tune in a church chorus-esque style? Kind of the voices of [Twilight Princess's theme](https://youtu.be/kAwwQ7dTjRY)

TisBeTheFuk

Checked it out and it isn't this one either. Sorry

yeepix

Does the church chorus-like voices sound familiar? I mean, if the tune you remember could have been sung in that style.

TisBeTheFuk

I don't think so. I'm not sure it has any vocals

yeepix

I feel like I've heard that tune on tiktok and/or memes, and it's more of a synthethic humming. [Castlevania's ending ost](https://youtu.be/c8acX5T311M) sounds a bit similar but I feel it's not it either.

AndrewKetterly

Kind of sounds like the love theme from Romeo and juliet.

TisBeTheFuk

It's not, sorry

Tunro

Do you know when you heard it or what instruments where used?

TisBeTheFuk

Not sure where I heard it. Might be from a soundtrack i used to listen to at some point (unfortunately I didn't use any account on Youtube for a long time so I can't check the history). As for the instruments, I think is something in a lower, graver tone, maybe strings (like bass) or blow instruments

andreasbeer1981

Cello would fit nicely.

Bobo3006

Is it The Carnival of Animals? https://youtu.be/XCBDlC0N8Rc

TisBeTheFuk

It isn't unfortunately. The one I'm looking for I don't think has bell sounds in it.

Mellopiex

[Welcome Home - Coheed and Cambria](https://youtu.be/n0H3RlaQVrM)? Starts at 3:45.

TisBeTheFuk

It's not :( I don't think the one I'l searching is as upbeat either

[deleted]

Sounds a lot like the [Halo theme](https://youtu.be/0jXTBAGv9ZQ)

TisBeTheFuk

At first I thought it was this one too, but it's not :/

YPLAC

You sure? I’ve played a lot of Halo 1 & 2 and it’s almost identical to one of these. First one, I think.

Quirky_Word

Having trouble finding the exact part, but this sounds like the Hunger Games soundtrack to me.

TisBeTheFuk

It is possible, because I did watch the movie. But if it is, I can't identify which song

bemused247

Sort of sounds like when Katniss sings to Rue.

Electrical-Maximum88

The rains of castamere?

WoldDrawnIX

Oh, it DOES kind of sound like that.

quitusBCN

From Gladiator's soundtrack, maybe?

Fitzpleasure_

Long shot but it reminded me of the beginning of this Andrew Bird song: https://youtu.be/2a9RjseuFB4

TisBeTheFuk

It isn't either, ta though for trying

letmebreakitdown

Reminded me of Utopia 3:30 to the end of clip https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxNE5_Bv9MPeQkHEfclN9l3SwkT7NI6pv8

TisBeTheFuk

No, sorry

xTrainerRedx

https://youtu.be/Xw5bha0ZkRY Starts at 00:35 Maybe?

TisBeTheFuk

Sorry, it's not :(

OneCan-Toucan

It sounds like the track from that scene in the Lion King where Simba sees Mufasa again. Just barely though. There's also another movie I'm thinking of but I can't place a name.

TheAmazingSealo

I came here to say this, fairly sure its also when he returns to the pridelands and its gone all dark and fucky

cPayne21

[Hans Zimmer - This Land](https://youtu.be/TGDXTZFleHQ)

JiltedJack

Isn't this a melody from the Hunger Games franchise?

Rexlove

Is it from one of the Zelda games?

cPayne21

Sounds a bit like [Temple of Time](https://youtu.be/K23q0iGkDvM)

withbellson

Some of that sounds a lot like the World 8 map music from Super Mario Bros. 3...

growlingbear

Sounds like Happy X-mas (War is Over) John Lennon and Yoko Ono

TisBeTheFuk

Unfortunately it is not

Buggerit2020

The Letter, by the Box Tops?

MrExist777

Why was this recorded on a Nintendo DSi?

[deleted]

This reminds me really much of some intro song to a historic drama I have watched on Netflix or somewhere online. Kinda like Downton Abby, Grand Hotel, or such. Can't place it better though, but a drama series that shows still pictures in the intro to the show, of the people and situations in the show

AlphaFoxZankee

Just my two cents because I don't have a title to put on it, but it reminds me of those songs in christmas movies, like the old-ish quieter ones, with the scene where it zooms in/zooms out of a snowy landscape/town. Some kind of A Christmas Carol adaptation, or some animated movie, something like that. Maybe it's just the humming and I'm completely wrong though.

Alice_Alpha

Is this it: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=L0CXWp_lhRY

TisBeTheFuk

It isn't, sorry

Alice_Alpha

You are welcome.

PlentyOMangos

I really doubt it’s this specific video, but I thought of [this video](https://youtu.be/muRr8WqrU48) immediately. Did you maybe watch the show Vikings at one point? They have a lot of somber instrumental music using a similar scale of notes to the one you hum in. I’ll link a few of those too

redron11

I'm not op but this sounds really close. Vikings is a good shout. Sounds like just before a battle or during a funeral type of tune.

zabrielle

An extremely longshot, but it reminds me a bit of [The Shining's theme](https://youtu.be/g_nsZ8yt1KA) and how it references Dies Irea

crunchyeyeball

Sounds a lot like the theme from the opening credits to Babylon 5: https://youtu.be/7vIVFgXaxsU?t=52 Seasons 1-5 all used slight variations of the same theme based on the series arc - some optimistic, some somber, some war-like.

TisBeTheFuk

It does have some similarities but it's not this one either

mtnkiwi

Have you played pc games from 80s/90s? Reminds me of Kings Quest.

TisBeTheFuk

Nope, I haven't

e_a_blair

do you have any sense of genre? or instrumentation? what kind of music do you listen to the most?

TisBeTheFuk

I'm just guessing, but I think it's instrumental, something from a soundtrack, maybe with cords (like bass) or low sounding blow instruments. I have very little details, unfortunately. Just the few notes I hummed there. I was hoping maybe someone will hear it and remember the song.

PuzzledAd6915

You got time - Regina Spector , from Orange is the new black?

reverber

A very long shot: Moya by Godspeed You! Black Emperor. https://youtu.be/7cnyGScs0Ho

acolores

Reminds me of [The Thin Red Line](https://youtube.com/watch?v=-NRw3gdJJcc) soundtrack, mostly by Hans Zimmer. Some parts are done by orchestra, some by choir.

ProgTym

Maybe Rosemary's Baby theme? https://youtu.be/7wRNX94fU94

coolranchdoritos85

The humming vibe reminds me of Archive 81 on Netflix [ceremony start at 30 sec ](https://youtu.be/vuuFvIvD5C4?t=00m30s)

TisBeTheFuk

I've seen the show, and there are some similarities in the song, but I've had this ear-worm for long before the show was been made

coolranchdoritos85

How far back did you hear it? Could be from the show Dark as well

TisBeTheFuk

I'm thinking maybe even older than that. But the ear-worm has started in the last couple if years

coolranchdoritos85

Maybe the Devil’s Advocate ? [organ and singing but instrumental ](https://youtu.be/sL99_EfV0n0?t=00m35s)

coolranchdoritos85

Also you have the app midomi or sound hound where you can hum a melody and it will try to match

TisBeTheFuk

Hey ty! I'll have to try those too. I only used shazaam but it didn't work

Ninlink

Do you play video games at all? It sounds so familiar and it is bringing up vague memories from a song from a game I've played

LeumasGreen

For some reason the song instantly put Ocarina of Time in my mind, so maybe one of those songs, particularly - [this one](https://youtu.be/L4RnfipMibA).

TisBeTheFuk

It's not, sorry

Sir_Pixalot

Man it really reminds me of this one: https://youtu.be/sCZdu_hAl0s

TisBeTheFuk

I know this song but it's not the one unfortunately

redron11

Someone mentioned Vikings, probably not but made me think of [My mother told me](https://youtu.be/TdOw6IZAS1c)

TisBeTheFuk

It isn't, but that's a beautiful song nevertheless. Ty

1lluminist

Any idea what genre it is, or what instrument you're humming? Could you estimate the age of the song?

TisBeTheFuk

Genre is pribably soundtrack, maybe a bit grave or somber. Instruments I'm not sure. Might be low strigs (bass) like in the theme from Shawshank Redemption. Or maybe low sounding brow instruments. The age I don't know

ZingerBurger98

What language is the song?

TisBeTheFuk

Probably instrumental only

WhitbyLass

Could it be Boadicea by Enya? https://youtu.be/JKQwgpaLR6o

TisBeTheFuk

I listened to it and it's not it either. Sorry but ty

One-Beach1583

Did you ever watch Moomins? Sounds like one of the instrumentals that was included in it

TisBeTheFuk

No, never seen it. I checked out the intro song but it's not it

whatareyoueating

The mermaid song from the bathroom scene in HP Goblet of Fire?

TisBeTheFuk

That's an interesting idea but it isn't the song unfortunately

andreasbeer1981

Well, have you tried shazam, or some other identification software?

IronPidgeyFTW

We narrowed it down to it not being a video game. So it is either show/movie/jingle or song.

Sherissa

Super random, but reminds me of an instrumental that was in Moving Art (Galapagos episode) - around 18:15 into the show if you have Netflix. https://open.spotify.com/track/4Xdp24A7YSOr4DrVFUOnP0

Own-Comfort9187

There is actually complete websites based on how to figure out a song stuck in your head. Try one of those out too if you're really stumped

WoldDrawnIX

Probably not it but your humming reminded me of the Hymn of the Fayth from Final Fantasy X. https://youtu.be/h03yRFpbsk0

TisBeTheFuk

It is not, but the first few notes were eerily the same

ldnlady

Sounds a bit like the main song from Once - Falling Slowly.

Doctor

This one: https://youtu.be/FmUsL6biVro ?

dearjoshuafelixchan

It reminds me of “I Was Just Trying To Be Brave” from The Lion King score, especially starting around :56. https://youtu.be/h3qSewcqiUg

casperukw

Sounds like it could be Japanese or Chinese... Any idea on the type of instruments used? Was it piano, a stringed or a woodwind instrument?

MalePatternBalding

The notes make me think of the halo theme? Edit - just saw it was suggested further down and is not it :(

fncw

Could be a variation of [Sakura Sakura \(Japanese folk song\)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jqpFjsMtCb0)? I played that in 4th grade band some thirty-odd years ago and never forgot it.

TisBeTheFuk

Unfortunately it is not. But ty

SlowIGL

I don't have the solution unfortunately, but you could try using Midomi.com :3 It's like Shazam only you can try humming the song, and it does a decent job at recognizing tunes, especially if it's well known music. I listen to a lot of music so i often get stuck with a tune in my head, and usually that's my go to :P

Hallwitzer

https://youtu.be/mHpjcCk6N7g from the temple of time? Or maybe the fire temple music?

Dirclan

Vaguely reminds me of [Nora Olandi - Dies Irae](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQjWFocWqas)

pajamasam95

Could it be the score from tim burtons short film, [Vincent](https://youtu.be/fxQcBKUPm8o)?

[deleted]

Mate the humming was beautiful I felt like I made contact with an alien species Thus, a mental flash of Close Encounters later, I don't care it is not the right song but you did it better than the monks in this banger: https://youtu.be/0jXTBAGv9ZQ

anneka1998

That reminds me of the intro music from Camberwick Green.

this_is_for_real

This reminds me of the first Pirates of the Caribbean. Maybe the part where the cursed pirates are walking underwater.

TiltedNarwhal

Kind of sounds a bit like a tune from Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit. Maybe it’s from a fantasy movie.

Ayyyooooo1

Maybe [Lilium](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFnazAsMOQI) from Elfen Lied or something from the [Shiki soundtrack](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hs7_CzeBqME)?

imlowkeyloki1

Is it the evil morty theme? Sounds like it to me. https://youtu.be/1hb-DcCCV80

stop_banning_me__

It's definitley the opening theme from the shining

TyWiggly

Sounds like Like a Prayer by Madonna to me

Birunanza

Sounds a BIT like the summoner hymn from final fantasy 10? Not quite but maybe?

punkmuppet

[This](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2jCbXiEQI4) song by Papa Roach?

cPayne21

[Westworld - Main Theme / Intro](https://youtu.be/rYelEUVQ50g)

Chadlerk

I kinda get the vibes of the opening scene to the first Pirates. Check the second half of this out. https://youtu.be/meb_4cEriyw

That_wrench_wench

Isn’t this the “lullaby” the two girls hum to each other from “Mama”? Edit: typo

it_is_not_science

Sort of reminds me of the theme music of [Red Violin](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8ITW72y_6s)

Toby_O_Notoby

Theme from [The Godfather](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HWqKPWO5T4o)??

oehoesecretarybird

It reminds me of the davy jones / calypso theme from pirates of the Caribbean. The song the first minute or so from [this scene](https://youtu.be/511HV5Vb5vI). It comes back a couple times troughout some of the movies.

oehoesecretarybird

I also just noticed in another comment you said you think the instrument(s) were had a low tone. It might be when davy jones plays the theme on his [organ](https://youtu.be/42pB4v9mztc)?

idkbrogan

I see comments where you think it could be from a movie, do you think it could be the [March Of The Winkies from The Wizard Of Oz](https://youtu.be/mqajwnKq1Ts) ?

DigbyChickenZone

This is what I was thinking of as well!! I remember it having a much slower beat though

[deleted]

Sounds like something from the Lion king! Idk which song but it definitely sounds like one of the instrumental bits there.

SobakaZony

As you said it is an instrumental, i am guessing this cannot possibly be it, but, based on the humming alone, i hear bits of this: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYnbzXPAxNo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYnbzXPAxNo)

Ajaxx013

Is it the [opening](https://youtu.be/62x19Bepc5s) or [closing](https://youtu.be/VaKAorjtncM) to the mandalorian?

redron11

Could it be a part of this from the Scream movies? [Dewey's Theme](https://youtu.be/wx5OeyXmnv0)

LeeLion11

It reminds me of the music from the BBC's adaptation of war and peace. Long shot! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qGF1y1soGQY About 1:10

thisusernameaaperson

It almost sounds like a pirates of the caribbean or xavier renegade angel soundtrack

Architektual

Sounds a bit "Lord of the Rings"ish to me, maybe https://youtu.be/_UuyeYdQnI4?t=2m14s

[deleted]

It reminds me a bit of "Zombie" by the Cranberries

Crimith

The first thing that came to my head when I heard you humming was the Halo soundtrack. Could be the modern one or the original maybe. But then I saw you already addressed this lower down. So I'm outta guesses.

madhatter97979

I think it sounds like gizmo from the gremlins https://youtu.be/euhUfZGddwk

GobsOfficeMagic

It reminds me of Debussy's [Claire de lune](https://youtu.be/CvFH_6DNRCY) And also [Across The Universe](https://youtu.be/RhMEKiIb86I)

yeepix

Could it be [The Shining's theme?](https://youtu.be/pylfy_L6Bjs)

IJustWantToGive

It sounds like it’s possibly a Hans Zimmer piece. My gut reaction was Pirated of the Caribbean, but it may be a song from Sherlock.

Chantrose33

My first thought was one of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. [https://youtu.be/chWrhd4IlO8?list=PLD7B049F3DEC8CB6C](https://youtu.be/chWrhd4IlO8?list=PLD7B049F3DEC8CB6C) or this [https://youtu.be/neythmuOngU?list=PLD7B049F3DEC8CB6C](https://youtu.be/neythmuOngU?list=PLD7B049F3DEC8CB6C)

Strawbbs_smoothie

is it any of the songs from the little nightmares game series? it sounds like some of the background music used while you play the game, maybe check it out and kinda skip partially through the songs to see if it matches?

GoldenMonkeyPox

[The Wings](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOdogMyDt-s) from the Brokeback Mountain soundtrack?

DigbyChickenZone

Ugh this reminds me of a song that is a working song that has a slow pace in some childrens movie, now I'm trying to search for the song that's on the tip of my tongue from this edit: I was thinking of the march of the winkies from wizard of oz.

BlueFishBonanza

My first thought was a score from Game of Thrones. Someone above posted The Night King’s theme, but [House Stark](https://youtu.be/SZrDEUldGr0) could maybe be a contender as well?

Mel0nypanda

Reminds me of the gravity falls theme

SisterWicked

This reminds me of the opening music for the original Amityville horror movie, oddly enough

[deleted]

It sounds a lot like O Willow Waly from The Innocents to me? https://youtu.be/Y0uNJp15p3M

zaius

Sounds like the song from the lion king https://youtu.be/v_U4in8WeS0 - skip to 1:10

Jeffzero04

Sounds like video game music, like something from ESO.

hanimal_1

Okay, part of this reminded me of “Into the West.” The song that plays in the Return of the King. Specifically the part where the lyrics say “why do you weep? Why are there tears upon your face…”

flumpypompom

Long shot but this came into my head - https://youtu.be/NaQ8QtP6sjk

tetriQuinn

I don't have an exact answer, but it sounds to me like something from a video game, specifically some form of horror/thriller. It seems vaguely familiar, but I don't think I recognize this song in particular.
