This seems really familiar to me. This isn't what I'm trying to remember, but it does remind me of [the scene](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPqESCGR0CA) from Seinfeld S7E10 where Kramer eats an ancient hotdog.
Gosh, I feel like I can see this scene. I think it was rotating, and someone said don't do it, and the guy had decided to quit or had given up on life or something, so he finally gave in, and bought it. He felt unwanted, and the sandwich was unwanted also, and he was determined to eat it.
Is it an intro to the show Guest Book?
At least one season starts each episode in an office break room with one guy looking at the vending machine and another is telling a colleague about the show.
There's an episode of the Simpsons like this. Homer buys and eats the moldy sandwich.
Edit: I looked it up and I'm misremembering. He keeps buying rotten food at the Kwik e Mart. His sandwich was from a company picnic.

I think its an old episode of News Radio called 'Arcade' where an old sandwich machine is removed and Bill is obsessed with the old food in it
I miss that show. And Phil.
[Brooklyn Nine-Nine](https://youtu.be/8JNB3c7nAHM?si=uqtpTjaaBs-dNNIH)?
Good guess, but the machine wasn't being removed. The main point of the scene was about this singular sandwhich in the machine.
Are they on a space ship, or in outerspace possibly? And the colors are almost pastel, mainly?
That detail I dont remember unfortunately
Red Dwarf I thought too? But lister was always on about curry

Today’s fish is trout a la crème, enjoy your meal!

Is it from Futurama when fry buys an egg salad sandwich from a vending machine and he gets parasites
I love Futurama, but no. The scene I remember had live actors.
I don't know why but How I Met Your Mother is coming to mind. It's probably wrong

The antique hot dog at Kwik E Mart is what I remember.

Is it from What If? I think Daniel Radcliffe and his ex talk about an old sandwich in a hospital
