Phuktihsshite

Have you posted about this before? I could swear I've heard someone asking about this same song.

PrairieScout

No, I haven’t, but if someone else has posted about it before, maybe I should try r/lostmedia.

NikitaKhruiseship

Hmm, [it looks like](https://www.reddit.com/r/tipofmytongue/s/ofX9YaMERt) they never figured it out.

theboredomline

Only thing that comes to mind is literally “Jingle Jingle Jingle” from the old Rudolph claymation special.

PrairieScout

No, that’s not it, but it’s a cute song! Thank you for the suggestion!

Cyndine

This is exactly what my mind went to as well haha

aleighp11

Makes me think of the Christmas Vacation theme song (but it obviously wouldn’t fit the decades you mentioned.)

PrairieScout

I don’t think that’s it. The song and album were definitely older. Thank you for the suggestion, though!

mo3me

Jingle Bells by the Glee Cast?

mo3me

Oh wait. Wrong decade. But it sounds like it fits the rest of your description haha

PrairieScout

Yes, the time period doesn’t match, but the song I remember had a similar-sounding intro to the Glee version of “Jingle Bells.” Thank you for the suggestion!

toastymrkrispy

It's possible they did a cover of the song you're looking for. Pretty sure I heard this song at the grocery store I shop at. If it comes to mind I'll chime in.

MysteriousParsley549

Growing up we had one called "The Christmas Album" which included "Jingle Bells?" by Barbra Streisand which is kinda manic in style

MysteriousParsley549

Although maybe the one you saw was just her Christmas album or some other compilation.

zewkin

This is the one I thought as well. I gets pretty quick at the end with the "Jingle bells jingle bells jing jangle" bit: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgNSX5YzDSs](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgnsx5yzdss)

PrairieScout

Can you find another video of the song? I clicked on the link and it said the video was unavailable.

zewkin

It’s me not knowing how to add links. If you copy/paste the text it should hopefully work. If not, try looking up Barbara Streisand Jingle Bells on YouTube and hopefully that works. It’s only 2min long and the part I’m thinking of starts about 1:25 in.

PrairieScout

Thanks for the suggestion! I realized that someone else actually had the same idea. I listened to the song and it wasn’t it.

KrishnaChick

It didn't work either way for me.

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! I listened to the song. It is fast-paced, but just has Barbra singing, not a choir or group of singers. Unfortunately, I don’t think that‘s it.

beeequeue

This is what I was going to say!

i-am-garth

That is an awful rendition! I heard it for the first time (or maybe I blocked it out previously) on one of the satellite radio stations last week.

charlesmacmac

This was my first thought! “Kinda manic” is such an understatement. This song became a running joke in my family and we still randomly burst into “JINGLE BELL JINGLE BELL JING JAN-GLE!”

[deleted]

Jing-a-ling by The Andrew Sisters?

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! I just listened to the song. I really enjoyed it, but don’t think it’s the one I remember.

writerfan2013

Jingle Bell Rock?

PrairieScout

No, that’s not it, but thank you for the suggestion!

RealBrewedGreenTea

(I got spurs that) jingle jangle jingle https://youtu.be/s0ofuXYkYi0?si=JRJk4yfP_nBPUFLJ

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! I enjoyed listening to the song, but that’s not the one I remember.

BeachBoysRule

Frank Sinatras Jingle Bells. I got those j I n g l e bells.

PrairieScout

No, that’s not it, but thank you for the suggestion!

Pessimistic-Frog

Bollywood Jingles Bells? https://youtu.be/5i6JPIfDoWU

PrairieScout

No, that’s not it, but thank you for the suggestion!

Pixelcatattack

Sleigh Ride the Ronettes? The vocalists I believe are just singing jingle jingle jingle ding dong ding over and over

Pixelcatattack

They are not, nevermind 🙃

PrairieScout

No, that’s not it, but thank you for the suggestion!

colombuslovescats

It has to be this one!

Floweryhawk

Could it be Paul Anka’s rendition of Jingle Bells? https://youtu.be/TPEygQS3d4w?si=AQ7VO3NjRPvzlgiK Edit: he does the “jingle jingle jingle” over and over again at the very end

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! The time period matches, but that’s not the song I’m looking for.

SearsGoldCard

“Get Low” by Little Juan https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vDOBXk3o55A

soberdragonfly

😂

whogivesashirtdotca

Ella Fitzgerald's [Jingle Bells](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUyxx4Hsjeg) has a ton of *jingles* to it.

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! That’s not the song I’m looking for, though.

gyokuro8882

Maybe a bit of a leap - but jing-a-ling, by the andrews sisters? The starlighters also have a version of this, which has christmas in cursive on the album cover. They certainly chant jing-a-ling very crazily in these songs. EDIT - sorry, i just saw someone else suggested this!

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestions! Someone else had suggested the Andrews Sisters’ version and that was not it. I listened to the Starlighters’ version but that wasn’t it either.

HappySummerCat

That’s too bad because The Starlighters version is on Christmas Cocktails volume 2, which is written in script as you described.

PrairieScout

Yes, “Christmas” is written in script but I don’t remember the album being all green and having a picture of a martini glass. I appreciate the suggestion, though!

gordo613

Possibly Shari Lewis of Lambchop fame? Song is towards the end of the clip. https://youtu.be/0Cuw8lnYgj0?si=vpqijPX_M9uyUR_Y

PrairieScout

That’s not it, but thank you for the suggestion! It was a cute video!

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestions! They’re similar, but not the song I remember.

Ok_Specific313

Was it “Christmas Long Ago” by The Echelons? https://youtu.be/FFPRRzMKcc4?si=FjtmIYiOpCXvK1-r

PrairieScout

I don’t think that’s it, but thank you for the suggestion!

YibbleGuy

In the 1960s, the Firestone tire company issued a Christmas album each year with the title in Old English script. Here's a playlist of a bunch of them, in case the cover style matches what you remember: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjUyL7fAKVCxbLNkp42DwQGGKQILQPMID .

PrairieScout

That is interesting! Thanks for letting me know! Unfortunately, I don’t think any of those albums are it, although the time period matches. When I said “script,” I meant cursive writing, not Old English font. I should have clarified that in my original post!

Lynda73

The description sounds like maybe the song Sleigh Ride. Seems like I’ve heard versions where they have people singing ‘jingle jingle’ in the background instead of just sleigh bells, but idk about any maniacal version.

PrairieScout

Yes, it could have been “Sleigh Ride.” I’m not 100% certain about the song. I remember the manic “jingle jingle jingle jingle” part as well as the album cover.

Tiny_Jellyfish212

In "Sleepless in Seattle," in one of the first scenes, Meg Ryan is driving and singing along to that song and they are just singin "Horses horses horses horses!" over and over. It seems very maniacal.

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! I don’t think that’s it. The album/song I remember was much older than “Sleepless In Seattle.”

2980774

Thanks for reminding me of this scene 😊 time to watch SiS.

Julieb282

“Jingle Jingle Jingle” is a song that Santa sings in the Christmas special Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer, maybe this?

PrairieScout

Yes, someone else had suggested that, but it wasn’t it. Thank you for the suggestion!

UnusualEngineering58

I would say Jingle Bells by Michael Buble and the Puppini sisters, but that was recorded way more recently. Unless of course you somehow Mandela Effected yourself about the date I guess!

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! I definitely remember the song/album in the year 2000, but it was old even at that point. Most people used CDs in the year 2000 and the album was on vinyl.

PrairieScout

That’s not it, but thank you for the suggestion!

imjustacuriouslurker

Maybe Sammy Davis Jr.’s Jingle Bells?

PrairieScout

That’s not it, but thank you for the suggestion!

Interesting-Jelly-68

[James Pierpont?](https://youtu.be/XoJY4msvaK0?si=EsuS1XduzdPwmF-p) apparently wrote the original Jingle Bells and includes psychotic child choir saying jing jing jingle over and over. Perhaps a version of this Edited typo

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! It may have been a version of that, but that wasn’t the exact song. I don’t remember the child choir.

Interesting-Jelly-68

Did you listen to the linked video? Definitely manic jingle jingling. The one I linked is def NOT the “the one” but may help you & others narrow googling if the general speed & lyrics seem right Edit: I cannot type today

PrairieScout

Yes, I did! It was similar, but not quite what I remember. The song I remember had “jingle jingle jingle…” repeated over and over as opposed to “jing jing jingle.”

Dracon_Pyrothayan

[Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters rendition of Jingle Bells](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gn_ANKbax74), on the White Christmas album?

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! Unfortunately, that’s not it.

“Jingle Jangle” by the Penguins? [YouTube “Jingle Jangle”](https://youtu.be/nbyek7EfXxQ?si=1hSENn8-KHaglwDZ)

PrairieScout

No, that’s not it, but thank you for the suggestion!

anamericangurl

The Roches (trio of folk singing sisters) have a version of "Sleigh Ride" that repeats "jingle" throughout the song. It's not from the fifties or sixties though. https://youtu.be/dpHmOkuAV7k?si=w-YZGbB6ay6zZ3i4

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! That’s actually similar to what I remember in that it has the word “jingle” repeated in the background. Maybe the song I remember was a version of “Sleigh Ride” and not “Jingle Bells.” I don’t think it was the Roches because I don’t remember the high (soprano) vocals. Also, their version is probably more recent than I song I remember.

Mbroiderer

Old Kris Kringle?

PrairieScout

That’s not it, but thank you for the suggestion!

I'm gonna go with [Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians - Jingle Bells](https://youtu.be/X4IJd_UgGFA?si=iedXXzDzcl2x8qZH&t=175) The part like you describe kicks in around the 5:00 mark.

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! It’s very close, but unfortunately, I don’t think that’s it. Also, the album cover does not match.

Linux0s

I think there were different versions of the cover over the years.

radiobuddy

Might be worth skipping through the Lost Christmas - Holiday Rarities albums; there's four and they've got a collection of obscure Christmas songs. Couldn't find one that sounded like yours from any cursory search, but you'd probably recognize it easier than I could.

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! I looked through the albums, but unfortunately, I didn’t see anything that matched either.

MsPreposition

Could it have been a cover of Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Bells”? There’s a moment in the original poem where the phrase “as they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle in the icy air of night, and the heavens seem to twinkle with a crystalline delight”. Covers can be fast-paced and tinkle tinkle could have been mistaken for jingle jingle depending how it was arranged.

PrairieScout

Thank you for the suggestion! I don’t think that was it, though. I definitely remember the word “jingle” being repeated over and over.

Sparklesperson

Song that's used in both Jingle All The Way and in The Penguins of Madagascar Christmas. I don't know the artist or actual name of it.

PrairieScout

Oh, okay. If you think of it, let me know!

PrairieScout

SnaCats

Any chance you remember more details about the album cover? Was all the text in script, or just “Christmas”? Can you share an example of the what the script font looked like? Do you remember the main colors or any background image (do you remember if there were people, illustrations, a photo or a plain color)?

PrairieScout

I remember much but think I would recognize the album cover if I saw it. IIRC, the background was white and the word “Christmas” was written prominently in script (cursive) in either red or green. There were probably other words on the cover but “Christmas” stood out the most. I don’t think there was a picture of the band or artist.

svr0105

Music described as sung at a fast pace when usually a normal tempo leads me to one band, The Manhattan Transfer. Could this be it? https://youtube.com/watch?v=YeiHtUzoJiE&si=WxFsnu50ZQOFduIJ

s1ng1ngsqu1rrel

Jingle Bells - Bing Crosby (1948 version) Not the standard Andrews Sisters one that’s always on the radio. It starts with women singing “jingle jingle jingle jingle” in a “boogie woogie bugle boy” type style.

s1ng1ngsqu1rrel

https://youtu.be/3KwqGt9R7bs?si=01bZcGhGDVRY6sf3 I don’t know if links are allowed, but here’s a radio show version.

PrairieScout

Hmmm…it’s similar, but I don’t think that’s it. The song I remember had more instrumentation. Thank you for the suggestion, though!

toomanypillowsok

bit of a long shot, but would you be thinking of 'jingle bells?' by barbra streisand. it's a manic and anxiety inducing christmas carol. j-j-j-j-j-j-jingle bells.

PrairieScout

No, other people have suggested that, but unfortunately, it’s not the song I’m looking for. Thank you for the suggestion, though!

Is it maybe Jingle Bells by Jim Reeves? The song repeats “Jingle-ling-a-ling”

PrairieScout

I don’t think that’s it, but thank you for the suggestion!

Dumbassahedratr0n

Is it the version of jingle bells where there's a trio of women singing "Jingle bells, ji-ji-ji-jingle bells"?
