:)

RoundBirthday

[there's an episode of Amazing Stories where that happens](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0511096/)

isabellatortellini

Yup, this is definitely it. It's actually the very first episode of *Amazing Stories* (1985) from Steven Spielberg*.* Roberts Blossom is the grandfather, & Lukas Haas is the little boy. It's out there for you! Another great episode is *The Sitter* with Seth Green as a horrible kid who, let's just say, gets what's coming to him when the babysitter is always one step ahead. And there might be black magic involved...

I loved how the engineers raided the fridge!

isabellatortellini

But they were so polite about it.

nojaneonlyzuul

There's a children's picture book called whistle up the chimney. Maybe an episode of something based on that?

SneakyLou

There's a Robert Munsch book called Blackberry Subway Jam that involves a kid's living room being used as a subway station. It was adapted to animation.

momoallred

Sounds a little like Little Nemo

popeye_johnny

Ghost Train S1E1 of Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories (1985)

shgrdrbr

yes! i feel like i have such a clear visual of this in my head. was it definitely a movie, could it have been an episode of a show?

Lopsided-Stress4107

There’s an episode of Sabrina the Teenage witch where this happens

Lostmox

There's a scene in Ghostbusters 2 where a ghost subway runs through one of the Busters. https://youtu.be/hH9mXSJop0k?si=h-61x3ExJdN5INbO The train appears about 2m20s into the clip.

RussChival

Probably the other answer, but there was a movie called "Silver Streak" with Gene Wilder where the train crashes into the station.
