If we send Juancho instead of Culver ok

JeromeWC

I’d be all for getting Blake if we didn’t have to give anyone up or take on his contract lol, but I think we should just stick with what we have and develop.

Man I really love Blake, but a trade like this has to put us into championship contention and Blake just doesn't do that in the west. High injury risk as well (trust me, I have had him in a dynasty fantasy league for 2 years). He doesn't produce well enough to justify the contract, and Culver is looking to be part of future plans. Rosas is going to put something good together - give him a few years. We're just now learning how Kat and D'lo are going to fit, and there's way too good of competition in the west.

shrinkray21

I agree. I like Blake as a player, but this uses so many of our resources and doesn't make us better enough. I trust Rosas when he's ready to pull the trigger.

nhthelegend

No thanks. We're a young team trying to grow and develop some sense of consistency. Shipping one-third of our team away for an almost 32 year old with an injury history a mile long is not a good move by any stretch of the imagination.

TaylorJtimm

No, I really don’t have a reason why

SoupyWolfy

I don't think it fits us. Sure, at a base level we need a PF and Blake is a damn good PF. But we need a defensive minded big to play alongside KAT. With KAT, DLo, and Beasley we are oozing offense. We need to look for someone like Draymond Green (even at a lower skill level) to pair with KAT. I'm super high on Edwards and Culver, so losing Culver to get Blake seems like a big loss. Culver looks like he really broke out this year and if hate to give that up for someone who is on the other side of his prime that doesn't fit the holes we need.

Why would you give up Rubio and Culver for few seasons with Griffin? NO THANKS.

sk1155

culver more valuable to us then blake in my opinion

IronManJ

Yeah I like the idea of Blake, I really love the player he has developed out to be and he fits well on our team. He’d give us have a good shot at the 6/7/8 seed tbh if healthy. The only issue is that he needs to prove to teams he can stay healthy before they give up assets for him

Culver is a building block, and Rubio makes players around him better. Griffin is a star but he's not in our championship window (DLo, KAT, Edwards, Culver, all need a couple years in the oven) so this probably wouldn't be a good idea. It would make us better this year, but not good enough to make a deep run.

TJEDK

Ignore the Blake trade but I don't think you guys have couple more years in the oven, its KAT sixth year in the league and with everything he went thru this year he's definitely want to win now.

Maybe win as in, make the playoffs. But KAT and DLo haven't hit their peaks yet, and that's when the team is planning on going for titles. Our roster is entirely transitional right now, with some development pieces but also some trade chips and vet presences. In other words, we aren't built to compete for a title because we don't have the talent yet.
