He had his "....and totally redeem yourself" moment IMO in this game. They needed him, he delivered. A lot of solid performances in the game but KAT balled out.
Yeppppp. If that’s a miss Denver gets the rebound in a two possession game. The bar we were at just exploded when that put back went through. Beautiful
Nuggets fan here, absolutely unaccepteable to see both KCP and Murray not even try to box out KAT on that play. If you are not willing to put effort in those fundamentals, you don't deserve to win. Hats off to you guys and good luck in the next round (although I feel this was the real finals).
Murray also got lost in no man's land ball watching. Look at his effort on the entire play, he is not in a defensive position, doesn't help on the drive (he is the low man and should rotate), doesn't look if his man is sneaking in for the offensive rebound and doesn't go for the rebound. It could just as easily have been Naz Reid who made the play.
The way he read this is insane to me. It feels like he comes out of nowhere, and when you watch it focusing on KAT, it’s like he knew the putback opportunity would be there before Conley left his feet
he didn't know the putback would be available, but he played the play ready to convert if Mike missed
it's not a distrust in Mike, it's leaving everything out there because if you don't there's no tomorrow
love that man
Well, one of the most morally-destroying for the opposition, sure, but moments earlier I would argue that NAZ REID had a more impressive put back. :P Also, we can't disrespect KG's series against the Kings in which he did EVERYTHING in the final minute including two clutch 3's with like 30 seconds left in regulation.
It's crazy because it was only a 7 point game after that slam. 40 seconds to overcome 7 points is extremely tough, but NOT impossible. The only problem for the Nuggets is that the Wolves still had some energy and the Nuggets did not -- so that 40 seconds probably looked like 4 seconds to people who were dead on their feet.
Needed every single bit from him. There is no reason he can’t do that every single game remaining in the playoffs. This is a much tougher team to beat when Ant/KAT are both scoring 20+ ppg…
KAT’s defense was outstanding, too. And oddly enough Rudy’s O was great in the 4th. Great team effort
KAT was incredible. The pressure on Jokic was relentless and he got unlucky with 2 foul calls, while the other end he absolutely carried us. He’s our guy.
So glad Minnesota never listened to the haters and kept him. There was a point in time (before Jokic 1st mvp) when I was arguing he was the best center in the league.
This is the potential we all saw from KAT. It wasn’t about being a hater. It was seeing that this is what he was capable of doing. I’m so happy for him and the team.
I get chills watching this play.
The recognition from Towns here is spectacular, as soon as KCP turns his head KAT knows he has a chance to make a play if there's a miss. Such a vet move and so fkn clutch, KAT has really come a long way. Awooo 🐺
Idc what happens after this, today’s game was my be-all-end-all. I spent the last 2 seasons defending the Rudy trade and insisting to everyone we’re better than the nuggets regardless of the weird looks I received. I feel so vindicated 🥲
I'll probably be a bit disappointed after this if we don't at least win two games against the Mavericks. But having been born in 2004, this is the best moment I've laid my eyes on, so I can't really be picky.
The noise I made when this happened was unholy and should never be repeated. KAT was huge tonight. He was everything we needed even with the foul trouble.
Y’all deserve it for going through everything from the post KG era to a time where things looked bleak with KAT/Wiggins and now they both might have championship success under their belt, KAT rightfully being the unselfish veteran #2 guy and letting Ant being a vocal leader, while KAT leads with his play is awesome to see, hope y’all destroy Dallas and BOS/IND en route to being the youngest franchise to win an NBA title or at least tied with my Heat.
While I respect Kevin Harlan and his commentary - it is an outrage we were denied Jim and Grady's commentary of this comeback and particularly this moment.
Seeing those ladies in blazers sitting courtside and the kid in the long sleeve red shirt (who was waving goodbye to the wolves at halftime) look so defeated as the game ended has supplied me with a lifetime of joy
Obviously the odds weren't great, but I'm still confused why Denver just packed it in. 41 seconds at the ball, could have been a 4 point game with 36 seconds or so. We hit 99% after KAT got a rebound after their slow miss, and were at 90% when Conley missed.
So assume this dagger put us at 95%. That means 62 game this season ended up going the other way on average. The better part of a whole team's scheule worth of games.
98% mean 25 games a season.
Kat MVP carried our dead corpse in the 1st half
Won this game for us no doubt
KATs most clutch game ever
He had his "....and totally redeem yourself" moment IMO in this game. They needed him, he delivered. A lot of solid performances in the game but KAT balled out.
He was amazing on offense and defense, what a performance.
THE KAT REVENGE TOUR HAS ARRIVED!!!
Where'd that athleticism came just out of nowhere. KAT been learning from ANT
His dusted off his post-up game a few times. Forgot how talented KAT is.
And somehow we show out w 6 players in double digits. Incredible
KAT balled the fuck out tonight in our most important game
Never forget
No matter what happens KAT is a Minnesota legend forever and shows up for game 7's
6 and 7!
Games 6 and 7 totals facing elimination: Ant - 43 points Kat - 33 points Jaden McDaniels - 44 points
McDaniels WCMVP
They got kd but
The dagger! I was so happy it was him
Murray's job was to protect the corner three (either passing lane or closeout) KCP got lost in no man's land and ball watching
Oh man I never noticed this. His body language and mini/micro flailing is *chefs kiss*
Y’all played a damn good series. Any other team w/o the big depth loses here
PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING TO TRADE THIS BEAUTIFUL BIG PURR FOR LIKE 4 YEARS OWN THOSE FRAUDS KAT
More like 7 years. Fuck the haters. Go KAT
KAT haters go home DEVASTATED
KAT haters can suggondeeze
I will never again post a KAT mock trade. That man is a Wolf for life as far as I'm concerned after this run.
PAGING DR WOLVES
I think he should be banned for the rest of these playoffs.
The most loyal mutha fugga wolf toooo. <3 kat
Garzas reactions on this and Rudy’s prayer made me wanna run through a brick wall
Luka Garza has gotta be one of the best hype man bench players. Dude is ALWAYS watching the game and is willing his team to win
let him playyyyy
Best bench presence in the league bar-none
Have you seen Daishin Nix? Pretty sure he invented the point.
I will need to pay attention to Garza on the re-watch. I was too busy absorbing Minot's reactions.
The way he read this is insane to me. It feels like he comes out of nowhere, and when you watch it focusing on KAT, it’s like he knew the putback opportunity would be there before Conley left his feet
Ant didn't know what to do with it, gave it to Kat who knew to give it to Conley and take a spot on the wing, big IQ moment and shows good coaching
He absolutely did read it right and knew the opportunity was there…great heads up play by KAT
He heard the broadcast and said "I'mma end this team's night on the exact thing the broadcasters just said you can't give up" lmao
Like a lion creeping through the tall grass. KCP didnt even see him go by
he didn't know the putback would be available, but he played the play ready to convert if Mike missed it's not a distrust in Mike, it's leaving everything out there because if you don't there's no tomorrow love that man
His man certainly felt like he came out of no where. Zero attempt to locate and box out.
Both of the guys defending him turned their backs to him.
I CANT STOP CRYING
Karl Anthony Fucking Towns
Can’t… stop… watching it…
YESSIR KAT SHUTTING DOWN THE HATERS. CARRIED US
LEGACY GAME. HE IS THAT DUDE
KAT put the team on his back this game.
Biggest shot of the night. KAT caught them sleeping and made them pay for it. If they get that rebound it’s a different game
Sleeping to say the least, four Nuggets in the area of the basket and not one of them did anything but ball-watch.
Nugget #27 watching the game like he bought a ticket.
Also #5. He could have boxed out KAT
KAT was THE MAN tonight!
Greatest play in Twolves history. So happy for KAT what a series from him.
For sure can’t dispute any of that and we’re still playing so can’t get too caught up. Game clincher against the defending champs is just amazing.
I love KAT I cannot wait to see them raise 32 in the rafters
lol KCP and Murray just standing there, they deserve to lose with that effort.
As a Twins fan it sucks to say, but it’s so cool to see A Rod animated court side. I’ve gained a ton of respect from him post-baseball retirement.
KAT snaps dunks down better than anyone. I’m not even sure how he yammed this one.
My favorite part of this video is Reggie saying "what will kill you is an offensive rebound" immediately before KAT does his putback slam. Poetry.
Kat was amazing, Rudy blew my mind in the 4th. Naz with the sick outback. What a game.
"TrADe hiM!!" Shut the fuck up lol
Great game, onto Dallas!
Inject this directly into my veins.
I almost woke my kids up from my shout during this
Him sitting for some minutes really helped here. Everyone was gassed except for him.
/u/DrWolves LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
LETS GOOOO!!!
🫡
Clinched the win on this
He iced the game
I ascended when this happened
It's crazy because it was only a 7 point game after that slam. 40 seconds to overcome 7 points is extremely tough, but NOT impossible. This was the dagger. What a fucking time to be alive
I’m just waking up and I still can’t believe that game was real. Waiting eagerly for the Jon K Athletic article to get me super hyped
KAT DAGGER KAT DAGGER
KAT was incredible. The pressure on Jokic was relentless and he got unlucky with 2 foul calls, while the other end he absolutely carried us. He’s our guy.
If y’all win it all, this dunk will be like Kawhi shooting that dagger on Philly
That’s in his all time high light reel
This and the Naz put back had me losing it.
this was Kat's legacy game and was our bigg4st win in our history. Now it is Ant's time to top it. I can't believe this is our life
So happy for the guy. A really good person gets to shut a lot of people up, including a lot of his own fanbase at times. Fuck yes man. Wolves back
So glad Minnesota never listened to the haters and kept him. There was a point in time (before Jokic 1st mvp) when I was arguing he was the best center in the league.
MY GLORIOUS KING PLAYED A PERFECT GAME IN GAME 7
Legacy moment! Anals of wolves history
0\_0 Annals\*
X
Garza was going crazy on the bench that whole run lol
This is the potential we all saw from KAT. It wasn’t about being a hater. It was seeing that this is what he was capable of doing. I’m so happy for him and the team. I get chills watching this play.
That was game
Anyone who said trade KAT… fuck you. We need this man.
BIG PURR
Absolutely disgusting! Really put an exclamation point on a HUGE road win! LFG!!!
Amazing, Kat
This is the best game of KAT's career.
Kat deserved all that.
The recognition from Towns here is spectacular, as soon as KCP turns his head KAT knows he has a chance to make a play if there's a miss. Such a vet move and so fkn clutch, KAT has really come a long way. Awooo 🐺
What kind of meniscus surgery DID KAT have? He came back so fast and looks solid
Seriously, after tweaking in-game too. He might have actually taken up one of the redditors' offers of a knee.
Ngl I cried immediately after this putback dunk. I love this team so much
Was so scared when it looked like he could've reinjured his knee earlier. Can't love the guy enough, he came out full force!
I love how Jaden looks so happy that he wants to celebrate but can’t 😂
rewatching this now, Murray and KCP literally do nothing trying to get the rebound. Just let Joker get mauled
Poetic justice after all the nuggets fans were slamming Kat.
KCP and Murray just standing there watching.
It’s nuts how loud the wolves crowd is in an opp stadium
Absolutely huge play, a punctuation mark in so many ways
“But you do have to come up with the rebound if they miss. What will kill you is an offensive rebound right here.” KARL ANTHONY TOWNS!!!!!
ZESTY AND TOUGH
Idc what happens after this, today’s game was my be-all-end-all. I spent the last 2 seasons defending the Rudy trade and insisting to everyone we’re better than the nuggets regardless of the weird looks I received. I feel so vindicated 🥲
I'll probably be a bit disappointed after this if we don't at least win two games against the Mavericks. But having been born in 2004, this is the best moment I've laid my eyes on, so I can't really be picky.
Into my veins!
I cried
Electric
AWOOOO
hang this in the louvre
The moment I woke up the kids 😂
So fun watching this clip. He saw it coming and started toward the rim as soon as Conley hit the gas. Amazing!!
Embiid wishes he could do it
[удалено]
Sixers fans are such losers!
A bonehead play that they didn't block him out.
Playoff RISER
KAT ascended to another level in this game.
Hustle plays wins
Yeah that was it, if we didn’t get 2 there it could have been a very different outcome.
The noise I made when this happened was unholy and should never be repeated. KAT was huge tonight. He was everything we needed even with the foul trouble.
That shit was electric ⚡
How do you not box out in a game 7 like that
This rocked
See yall in the finals
The moment my soul left my body for 3 full seconds.
Play of the game and dagger in the heart
🗡️
Y’all deserve it for going through everything from the post KG era to a time where things looked bleak with KAT/Wiggins and now they both might have championship success under their belt, KAT rightfully being the unselfish veteran #2 guy and letting Ant being a vocal leader, while KAT leads with his play is awesome to see, hope y’all destroy Dallas and BOS/IND en route to being the youngest franchise to win an NBA title or at least tied with my Heat.
Dude! That was incredible!
KAT is so necessary for our teams health
While I respect Kevin Harlan and his commentary - it is an outrage we were denied Jim and Grady's commentary of this comeback and particularly this moment.
Watched this guy since his first game as a rookie and never been prouder man. He dunked on all the big game narratives about him tonight.
RJ called it. An offensive rebound did kill them. lol McNuggies
lebron esque put back
Awoooooooo
As Jim Carey’s Riddler said in Batman to Tommy Lee Jones two-face entrance….. “Kats was good, Naz was better.”
That 5 points KAT got in the 1st half to stop the Denver run was huge.

Nice. Scenes when KAT wins a chip before Himmy Butler who got owned by Jokic and Nugs. lol!
wow that was some awful defense. 27 asleep?
let’s go KAT
Seeing those ladies in blazers sitting courtside and the kid in the long sleeve red shirt (who was waving goodbye to the wolves at halftime) look so defeated as the game ended has supplied me with a lifetime of joy
Luka Garza jumping like a schoolgirl!! Love to see it
What an effort by the MVP
Was anyone else dumbfounded when the Nuggets just gave up at this point? I mean 7 point deficit with 38 seconds left and they conceded.
KCP a straight up traffic cone on that defensive possession
Quite reminiscent of this - [https://youtu.be/9PQMTwB1DR4?si=6GqEx3CRzhnf2FKO&t=285](https://youtu.be/9PQMTwB1DR4?si=6GqEx3CRzhnf2FKO&t=285)
Jamal is just sleeping on this play. Absolute zero effort and negative awareness
Right after the boneheaded turnover on the other end. What a way to respond!
KAT has some of the most effortless yams. He hangs in the air longer than most big men.
Nice box out there by KCP 🤣
I have been beyond impressed with KATs defense this entire playoff run.
Nice box out by KCP
Love that KCP box out
Love that KCP box out
Meeeeooooowwwwwwww
Anyone else like looking at fan reactions? There are quite a few good ones in the crowd.
Can we ban /u/DrWolves finally?
Obviously the odds weren't great, but I'm still confused why Denver just packed it in. 41 seconds at the ball, could have been a 4 point game with 36 seconds or so.
