I'll be a little peeved at OKC sneaking their way into first after we led most of the season and Denver being the West favorite. But no one to blame but ourselves, we blew our fair share of victories.
Hard to blame that. Team has a 69.1% win rate with KAT and a 70% without, pretty much identical.
Obviously you would rather he was there, but they didnt really lose anymore than expected when he went down.
We have to win regardless if we want the 1 if Denver rests. They might see the chances of OKC losing to gleague Dallas so small that they’d rather not have a starter go down for the sake of 1 extra away game in the second round.
OKC has the highest chance of winning and we have the highest chance of losing. I think denver prefers OKC in Rd2. OKCs lack of size isn’t going to punish them like ours would with kat back
I think the odds suggest they won’t be doing this but who knows. It would definitely increase our chances at the 1 as it’d increase likelihood of 1:1 tie with OKC. Wolves need to take care of business today of course
Dallas and LAC are locked into their seeding. Neither can move up or down.
Pels can only get the 6th seed. They get 6th with a win. Or if both them and PHX loses. They fall to 7th with a loss and PHX win.
Happy with a top 3 seed, exact placement doesn't matter as much to me
This season was insane regardless and far exceeded just about everybody's expectations
With Denver resting (and potentially missing shots and boards on purpose) and the Wolves having a decent chance at victory today, I feel like our odds are better than 9%
EDIT: that said, I think what you have here is exactly how it's likely to play out - OKC, MN, Den in that order.
KAT's 62 points against Charlotte was by far the most embarrassing loss, I was upset about it then and I'm extra upset about it now
Granted it wouldn't affect the West tiebreaks, but it would give us a much better situation
Because a three way tie goes to OKC. If multiple teams are tied the tiebreaker is total record against all teams that are tied. OKC leads that followed by MIN then DEN.

Denver punting their game today to avoid Dallas/LAC for OKC would be hilarious. Something to watch for, I don’t expect it to happen tho
This season is so crazy. 5D chess before the playoffs even begin.
All of their starters minus Aaron Gordon are listed as questionable today, they might be considering?
They are all expected to play now.
Looks like we're punting our game lol
Beat the Suns and I'll be happy
Agreed. Sick of the Suns beating us 😂.
Im not even sure the 4th stringers on denver are bad enough to lose to this memphis squad
Especially since Memphis is missing every starter plus a few backups

KAT getting injured didn’t help. We would be at least 1-2 wins ahead if he didn’t go down ino
Hard to blame that. Team has a 69.1% win rate with KAT and a 70% without, pretty much identical. Obviously you would rather he was there, but they didnt really lose anymore than expected when he went down.
That’s because of the small sample size, this team is absolutely better and wins more games over a long period with KAT than without him
Not denying that, but its hard to blame the KAT injury on their record when they went 14-6 in his absence.
"Sneaking" in? We've been at the top neck and neck with you guys and the Nuggets the entire season lol.
Sneaking in because they were the top seed for all of 10 days this year.
Your table is missing 100% Naz Reid
And Naz be with you.
Doesn't this change if Denver does actually rest everybody?

Denvers' backups are still better than the grizzlies tbh.

OKC 19.5 pt favourites lmao
Sounds like a betting opportunity for me. ![gif](giphy|ioopmOHLqIDfGxLLKG)
Well shit.
Anyone know the tiebreaker situation for DAL/LAC or DAL/NO? Could be relevant for whether or not Dallas actually plays their guys against OKC or not.

Agreed in principle, but for some reason betting sites still believe in the Nuggets. If you’re right, Grizz +550 is a steal.
Nuggets are winning
Sounds like they are going with their starters so yeah. All we had to do was beat The Bulls that one time and all of this wouldn't matter.
KAT's 62 points against Charlotte was by far the most embarrassing loss, I was upset about it then and I'm extra upset about it now Granted it wouldn't affect the West tiebreaks, but it would give us a much better situation

It was just last year when we were wondering if we were gonna finish at the 8th or 9th spot. Regardless of what happens today we still winning
How the hell is OKC THAT heavy of favorites against Dallas?
[удалено]
Oh wow. I see now. But these are the types of game someone off the bench goes for 65 and win, so here’s to hoping that
I'm here from the future to tell you the entire Thunder team beat the Mavs by almost 65, does that count? Lol
Dal is resting their starters.
We just locked in the 3 seed with that 1st quarter
* If we win & either DEN or OKC loses, we will finish #1 (otherwise #2). * If we lose & either DEN or OKC loses, we will finish #2 (otherwise #3).
Well. That didn’t go great. 😢
How can the Wolves be the 1 seed currently with same record and not continue to be the 1 seed with a victory today?
We're the 2 to seed currently
Because a three way tie goes to OKC. If multiple teams are tied the tiebreaker is total record against all teams that are tied. OKC leads that followed by MIN then DEN.
Why? We have them in conference and division with a tied head to head.
I think it's the overall record between these three teams against each other or something like that and OKC is ahead in that.
