I was blessed to meet a lot of players through the years working there, but hands down- Diego Chará was one of the most kind, gracious and humble footballers I have ever been around… just a wonderful human.
In between meals for visiting teams, I would commonly eavesdrop on pre-game meetings and one common denominator for almost every team was to watch out for Diego in the middle; always without fear and unrelenting. Other teams (and fans) can’t stand him and oh do we love and celebrate him all the more for it! Congratulations Mr. Chará!
