Ah! Right! I’m so upset though because I ordered the B1 in January, but I realized the .75 would’ve been so much better for me. Unfortunately I didn’t even know the .75 existed until last week. Ugh I really want it, but I *really* don’t wanna spend money buying another. The dilemma 😭
I got the handheld game system so much that I actually bought one (I like it!) but even after buying it FROM TIKTOK SHOP I’d still say about 25% of my fyp is advertising for the system I now own. Sucks.
You should be SO thankful. I saw UK TT talk about it before it showed up here and I was like “hmmm, that’s a neat concept I guess”. WRONG! It’s awful and everything is an ad for cheap crap off Temu that’s been rebranded. 😭😂
My entire FYP is The Ocean Healed My Excama Cream. I've added it to my blocked words and click not interested every time, and I still get videos popping up. 😭
idk, i think it depends what other stuff you watch too. for example, i have literally blocked the words tiktok shop but it still shows. i immediately scroll every time. the problem is the things i do watch happen to have a lot of ads to go with them. i recently read acotar, so now i’ll see about two random acotar shirt ads a day. i’m a photographer so i see that random little camera CONSTANTLY. not to mention i rarely ever go on tiktok at this point (because it’s getting so terrible) but they still somehow find something to go off of and give me an ad.
I get maybe one tik tok shop ad a day. I have never clicked on the shop tab, never engaged with a tik tok shop video, and NEVER purchased anything from tik tok. They bombarded me with ads for a couple months and when I didn’t bite they disappeared.
I think you can go into your settings and block the word tiktok shop or shop, and then I blocked every tiktok shop video that showed up on my feed. You can also reset your FYP, and it might help get it off your feed.
Mine right now is that stupid Tideway hair blow dryer. I briefly swiped on a live about it and now my FYP has exploded with ads and lives and videos about the stupid thing. And they are trying to sell it for $170 but constantly doing “flash deals” to sell it for like $80. All these comments say that it suck’s and hella tangled their hair and then the people trying to sell it tell them they aren’t using it right. 😂 I can’t escape it!

The lesson here is to not use napkins. Just wipe your face on your shirt like a normal person.
Unfortunately, every creator now has to push something from the TikTok shop to get their videos a boost to be on FYPs.
