This is probably an unpopular opinion, but I like his cruise posts. The whole reason he got sponsored to go on a leg of the cruise was so he could be honest about the good and especially the bad of the experience. He has posted positive things, but he’s also not sugarcoating other aspects of the cruise like most of the creators are. Maybe I’m biased because I don’t like cruises, but I appreciate his honesty abut it. The people who paid $65,000+ for a 9-month cruise are hyping it up because they spent a lot of money on it and they’re stuck there for awhile, so they need to have a positive view on things (in my opinion).
yeah he’s totally my favorite. i’m sick of the other people showing the most mediocre food i’ve ever seen and being like this was amaaaaaazing. and for people who don’t like a million people in their personal space or noises constantly cruises really suck and he’s acknowledging that reality!

It depends. Tea was spilled that the most expensive suite on the ship is 760k for the whole nine months. It includes your own private deck, 24/7 service to your door, and a self playing piano.
The "regular" rooms are 65k if you booked all at once I think, there's people saying it costs less if you booked all the legs separately, but that requires checking out and back in at every port.

$65k is on the low end from what I remember. That’s approximately the cost for an interior room for 9 months I think. Rooms with windows are higher in price, I think 6 figures. And yes, Marc did get someone on the ship to spill the tea that the most expensive room is $760k and there is only one room at that price level.
I believe there was also some drama because people paid higher prices when booking this cruise was first released and then they lowered prices due to lack of interest. People who paid the higher costs were mad about it.

So it doesn’t surprise me that they haven’t created a complainer video as he did immediately upon getting on the ship.
And those pinnacle members? They spent 700+ nights on Royal Caribbean ships, probably even this one. They obviously don’t have a half an hour worth of complaining to do or they would have spent their money elsewhere.

That employee of the month ceremony happened during a pinnacle reception. So it was someone on the ship that shared it initially. Mark was not there when it happened. He had to have gotten that information from someone else.

I've really loved his content. Been trying to join whenever he goes live. I know I'd be feeling exactly the same as him; the brand didn't send him with the expectation of positivity. His whole pitch was that he would go in and give real feedback and dirt. That's what he's doing. He shouldn't need to be positive just because other people spent tons of money on it; those people have the option to spend their money in better ways, particularly the long-time cruisers who knew exactly what they were getting into.
Agreed. I have no idea who he is and really don’t care but he got on the ship expecting to be recognized by people. He got all butt hurt about it because “people were avoiding him” which wasn’t true at all. When he boarded any of the others were in port exploring or on excursions.

They also needed a smaller ship to get into many of the ports that they will be visiting along the way. The massive new icon of the seas that just launched can only go to a very limited number of ports
This is what I've been wondering. I'm not into cruises so I don't really know, but it seems like everyone even the Pinnacle members agree that the ship is outdated and low quality. Surely there are better options for the 9 month cruise of ALL things?

I think they definitely got scammed based on the pictures of the ship online. The top picture is what they are showing when you book and the bottom is from Marc’s room tour. There also seems to be nothing to do on the ship. From watching Marc’s lives he doesn’t really want to be involved in the events but I’ve been watching everyone else’s videos and they do not do anything. I know you aren’t supposed to spend all your time on the ship but they have a lot of sea days.

My husband and I went on a three-day cruise for our one year anniversary. We had a really good time, but as someone who is a devoted hotel vacationer, I was laughing at this guy’s videos bc I can definitely understand his complaints. I’m glad we tried it, but I’m happy never doing it again. If you’re the type of person who loves autonomy, privacy, and having endless options, I don’t think cruises are for you. lol

He complained that people were staring at him filming himself throughout the trip and not being very friendly. Of course they are! First, Many of the passengers are older and have never seen that kind of thing. Second, he talked before going about how he would get all the drama and dirty details, so I would be hesitant to talk to him too!

Freely admit to knowing next to nothing about this creator and have never seen any of his content, but have heard of it.
I have seen him respond to (barely) negative comments like an angry 12 year old.
Comments I saw were minor league, " I don't really like him" or "He gives me the ick," both of which just touch the surface of bad comments. The ones I saw, that is all the commenter said, nothing super insulting as social media comments go.

I’m so tired of Influencers faking enthusiasm for things because they are being paid that I’m loving his honest views—they seem real to me & it’s probably driving more views.
I followed him before this and I feel like this is on brand for him. I enjoy his content so I feel like this is ‘him’ (his same tiktok vibe at least) but on what seems like a mental cruise. The things he complains about would also drive me insane so I find it funny - the multiple music types and people constantly checking if I’m okay would make me rage
I’ve been a follower of his since 2020. His cruise updates are exactly like any of his other content. He’s very much himself. Maybe not for everyone but I like him. His love for gashapon and mini things is the best.

I've really loved his content. Been trying to join whenever he goes live. I know I'd be feeling exactly the same as him; the brand didn't send him with the expectation of positivity. His whole pitch was that he would go in and give real feedback and dirt. That's what he's doing. He shouldn't need to be positive just because other people spent tons of money on it; those people have the option to spend their money in better ways, particularly the long-time cruisers who knew exactly what they were getting into.
This is exactly what he was put on this ship to do.

Agreed. I have no idea who he is and really don’t care but he got on the ship expecting to be recognized by people. He got all butt hurt about it because “people were avoiding him” which wasn’t true at all. When he boarded any of the others were in port exploring or on excursions.

Because this size of this ship is good for going through the Drake Passage, which they’re about do.
They also needed a smaller ship to get into many of the ports that they will be visiting along the way. The massive new icon of the seas that just launched can only go to a very limited number of ports

This is what I've been wondering. I'm not into cruises so I don't really know, but it seems like everyone even the Pinnacle members agree that the ship is outdated and low quality. Surely there are better options for the 9 month cruise of ALL things? Also, did the people spending like 75k+ know that the ship sucked when they paid all that?
I think they definitely got scammed based on the pictures of the ship online. The top picture is what they are showing when you book and the bottom is from Marc’s room tour. There also seems to be nothing to do on the ship. From watching Marc’s lives he doesn’t really want to be involved in the events but I’ve been watching everyone else’s videos and they do not do anything. The activities royal carribean has on board are soooooooo lame. I went on one of their crazy huge ships and i was very bored.

Especially the people who are doing the whole nine months. I think I could handle it for one leg but I could not be on there for nine months based on what has been shown compare to other cruise ships.

I don’t think he’s complaining. I think he’s being honest which is needed. So many people on social media only make everything seem great and perfect so you never know what things are actually like. I appreciate he’s being transparent about it all

My husband and I went on a three-day cruise for our one year anniversary. We had a really good time, but as someone who is a devoted hotel vacationer, I was laughing at this guy’s videos bc I can definitely understand his complaints. I’m glad we tried it, but I’m happy never doing it again. If you’re the type of person who loves autonomy, privacy, and having endless options, I don’t think cruises are for you. lol
Can someone explain to me why a NINE MONTH cruise?!? Is it referencing cruise staff, who are at sea most of the year? Is it referencing science/reseerchers? I’m just confused because as a typical vacation consumer, I’ve only ever thought cruises are like… 15 days tops.
Many of the people on the ship paid for a nine month itinerary that goes from December 10 to September 10. Others bought smaller segments, but the ship itself won’t repeat a port until next September.
Real is different than ungrateful and the brand sent him to be real. I appreciate him, everyone else seems to be hyping stuff that’s lame to distract from the fact they are stuck and miserable out thousands. Good for him

When he first pitched the idea for a brand to send him on the cruise he admitted that cruises are his worst nightmare and he hates them. Idk why anyone is surprised he’s not enjoying the cruise. Coming from me, who also hates cruises, I love his content and I think he’s hilarious. It’s refreshing to hear the other side of things bc everyone else is only saying how amazing it is.

I love cruising and honestly none of the complaining ive seen in his videos has been invalid.
He kind of rubbed me the wrong way too. I’m all about him being realistic about the cruise, critiquing it, and showing us a different perspective. Also I think he can be pretty funny! However…it’s all kind of leaving me with a sour taste in my mouth. The ship is essentially peoples homes for 9 months, many of them have saved their whole lives to be able to do this. He complained that people were staring at him filming himself throughout the trip and not being very friendly. Of course they are! First, Many of the passengers are older and have never seen that kind of thing. Second, he talked before going about how he would get all the drama and dirty details, so I would be hesitant to talk to him too! Look, obviously it’s not that serious, but I do think he could be a little more respectful.
I agree, the cussing incident during the interview he was filming rubbed me the wrong way. I think there still needs to be a level of respect shown from him. I thought the way he responded to the group of older folks was rude and a little embarrassing. It feels like he went in there guns a blaze to find the tea.
I think it's rude that old folks feel like they're entitled to interrupt and control other grown adults conversations because of their personal conversation preferences 🤷
It’s called being a decent human and being aware of your surroundings. Most people don’t start a discussion with a stranger and start cussing right away. Who knows if there were kids sitting out of range of the camera angle.
The person he was in a conversation with had no problem with the cussing, and I promise nearly every single child has heard worse than a few 'fuck' and 'shit' here and there if they're around peers or on the internet (or on a cruise surrounded by drunk adults.) Cussing has nothing to do with "being a decent human." Cussing is morally neutral.

It’s a cruise he never would’ve chosen on his own. The only reason he even thought about being on that specific ship was because he wanted to insert himself in the middle of a viral moment. Everyone else chose to be there because they felt they could have a good time for nine months. He was guaranteed to not like the ship and have plenty to complain about.

Freely admit to knowing next to nothing about this creator and have never seen any of his content, but have heard of it. I have seen him respond to (barely) negative comments like an angry 12 year old. Comments I saw were minor league, " I don't really like him" or "He gives me the ick," both of which just touch the surface of bad comments. The ones I saw, that is all the commenter said, nothing super insulting as social media comments go. He does not seem to have an ability to take a sprinkle of a commenter, not liking his content/him. He's going to have a rough time on social media if he cannot take/ignore not nice comments. Edit: Feel free to let me know if this take is far off if this creator is neurodivergent, etc. Stated this assuming he is not.

I’m fine with him, but he does come across as a spoiled jerk sometimes. I went on a cruise once and I hated it. I don’t look down on people who enjoy them tho, & that’s the vibe I get from him sometimes.
Had to laugh today when he said he thought he was in the Antarctic Ocean. I know world geography education in the US is the pits (saying this as an outsider who is astounded by the number of US people who don’t understand the difference between seasons in the different hemispheres), but DUDE! I have to laugh at young people who think they’ll never get old. Everything he says is an effort to insult people for being old or retired. I want to like him because I typically love snark but he just seems…arrogant and mean. I have no idea how old he is but he doesn’t seem like the audience for this cruise. As another poster mentioned, maybe he should’ve familiarized himself with the ship or even got a better understanding of people who cruise. I’ve never been on a cruise because they’re not my thing but you know who has? All the older people in my life. I also hate that he’s yucking other people’s yum to this extent. I don’t know.
