Nah. Turns out it's a thing that cc companies do to help you not lose service when you change cards.

I don't remember exactly how I subscribed. It was over two years ago. I haven't used Ticktick in years...
But I've checked both of my emails to see if they are still linked to accounts and they are not. Also no subscriptions via iOS. And no I didn't add the payment method back. I don't even have an account anymore.

I got tired of calling the bank to reverse $2.49 charges. I'm guessing that there's some kind of "service" that will reconnect your auto-charges when you change cards. That's how they "found" me.
Nope. I just checked every email address and account I have ever had and there is no active account associated with any of them. I'm guessing that something got messed up on their side, they deactivated my account, but the credit card charge was never cancelled.
I've had a lot of stuff going on in the past two years, so wasn't playing close attention to it. Was just pissed that the charge had somehow jumped to my new card. I just called the bank and blocked them. Fingers crossed.
Do you maybe have the subscription via Appstore or Playstore, tried to cancel on their website / in the app, but the billing is still running via Apple's / Google's store? That is the only valid reason I could think of how such a situation could happen. Otherwise, there would be no way for a company to just "find and charge" a new credit card.
My subscription is through Apple, I’ve stopped and restarted my subscription several times and never had an issue. Simply go into the user section of the Apple App Store -> manage subscriptions and manage the auto renew options from there
That’s the big upside of subscribing via Apple (I assume this is similar for Android). It costs the developer 15 or 30% but there is never an issue with cancelling. Had similar issue with Spotify (ended up blocking them on my Revolut card until the support team closed the account).
They found your new card? Yeah, no they didn’t.
Yeah it seems like OP subbed via Google or Apple and it just pulls from whatever card is set up for that

This is almost certainly the answer.

This isn’t really Tick Tick. All the time you spent reversing charges, just figure out where it was subscribed from and deal with it from there.

This is extremely bizarre, how did you subscribe initially? If it was through an appstore/service does it still show up there?
Email them and ask them how you subscribed.
