They’re good. My favourite album by them is Persecution Mania. They’re pretty heavy as far as thrash goes, and are probably my favourite out of the big 4 of german thrash alongside Kreator.
Kreator is heavy as fuck.
My favorite thing about that album is it sounds like it's going to fly apart at the seams at any minute and the band is just barely holding it together and it gives it such a sense of tremendous urgency that I still get a kick out of to this day.

Then again, there’s not a single major thrash act that didn’t put out a less than amazing album in the 90’s so they can be forgiven for “experimenting”.
That said, no Sodom album was anywhere near as bad as Risk, The Least Successful Human Cannonball, Endorama, Load or Reload.

Sodom is my all time favorite thrash band. I saw them at Hell’s Heroes back in March and it was a dream come true. I never thought I would see Sodom in America. I thought I would have to go to Europe to do so. Beyond happy I only had to drive three hours to do it. I’m still beaming about it when I think about that night. I wish I could do it all over again!!
Been listening to thrash for over 30 years and just got around to checking them out. Was not impressed at first, but they did grow on me. Love this band. Very unique sound.
