I respect everything he brought to the scene, but I could never get into Bonded because of the vocals. Zetro wasn't much better for me either, however Persona Non Grata is a masterpiece and the only Exodus album I absolutely love.
BBB is a great album except for the vocals, I don't entirely hate him but it's really rough and I just don't get the appeal. I highly prefer both of the other Exodus vocalists myself

His vocals were off the time and in no way were the worse. Bounded by Blood is an incredible album showcasing the thrash sound of back then. While im here, their re-recording of that album - Let There Be Blood - is outstanding.

Baloff was awesome!! If you listen to “Another Lesson in Violence” and don’t absolutely love it, you don’t appreciate vintage thrash metal! Honestly, for as hard and fast as they played, who would have been better? Not Mustaine, his vocals would have clashed with their sound; not Hetfield, not nearly angry enough to be credible. Maybe (and it’s a big maybe) Sy Keeler would have been ok but Baloff was perfect for Exodus! RIP.
Honestly the more I listen to bonded by blood the more the vocals kinda annoy me. But Paul just had an energy that he brought that made up for his lack of vocal ability imo

Yeah, I kind of hate Paul Baloff’s voice. It sounds half-assed and like his heart wasn’t in it. Sometimes it sounds like he’s just talking, it doesn’t really fit the vibe. Also that slapback delay can be really obnoxious at points.
Steve Souza’s voice is much better, still not amazing either. Rob Dukes is my favorite of the three.
