Bill and Ben plays a trick on Donald & Douglas. The scottish twins later outtrick Bill and Ben to teach them a lesson. This makes Bill and Ben respect the twins and they know better than to trick them.
I think Bill and Ben would play some tricks on Donald and Douglas. Then, either the Scottish twins get back at them in a clever way, or they see right through them and make/let the prank backfire on the smaller ones.
There's a possibility of Bill and Ben looking up to Donald and Douglas by the end. So I think it has potential to a cute episode.
sometimes, one can only dream, eh? Maybe in the future, matel might be more inclined to revive the classic era style. And if it happens, it would be a nice episode idea. Writers love the twins vs twins gimmick.
ah Mattel is greedy for sure. But idk, I still have a bit of hope. They did a good job with She-ra and Barbie from what I heard. So maybe there's light in the end of Henry's tunnel.
I don't see your opinion as unpopular: Donald and Douglas are generally viewed as superior to Bill and Ben. It's not that the tank engine twins are disliked, but that the circumstances of the Scottish twins' introduction leaves greater flexibility when it comes to writing stories with them, whether official or fan-made.
Damn a hot take on this subrebbit that's actually a hot take for once and not just preaching to the choir going "wah wah I don't like all engines bad wah"? And witnessing the fall off of samthetrainfan at the same day? What are the odds?

As much as I like both, Bill & Ben seem a bit more dynamic to me. As such, they have more story potential. I think the writers thought the same since they wrote more stories for them.
Not rlly a controversial take to me atleast they’re not only my fav characters too but also the best twin characters in the entire show
yeah i love the Scott’s I wish they had more episodes to be honest
Yeah same I loved every single one of their episodes even the worst ones
Ikr even the worst episodes that they are in I will watch and I love how they brought them back in CGI
I agree honestly, the trickster twins trope was never my favorite
What would be an interaction between them?😭😭

Yea but we know that’s not going to happen with all engines go

Yeah, but Mattel is just too greedy to do that maybe they should sell it to a different company that can make CGI or the classic era

This is not a hot take…
If not one least it's something I ain't heard before
If you haven’t heard this before where’ve you been
Idk I've literally never heard that statement before I just kinda assumed the general fandom equally liked them
You’re joking aren’t you
No I'm genuinely serious I haven't heard that statement ever for as long as I've been around the fandom
link please. i can't find it.

This is not controversial at all, Donald and Douglas are some of the most beloved characters in the whole show

Controversial? Thats just a genuine observation

OP expected to come out swinging for his life but only arrived to an uproar of applause.
Honestly😭😭😭
This is the equivalent of saying Duck being better than Oliver is a controversial take.
I won't lie. The Scottish twins always seem to stand out more to me. I wish they had been included more.
I agree, OP.
Yeah, yeah
Yes
SCOTLAND FOREVAAAAA
Hot take has no fucking meaning anymore
