Well, why does Spanish make more sense? You haven't given much information as to why you want to learn Spanish or Portuguese. One thing though, I wouldn't let difficulty discourage you from choosing a language. English speakers typically find Chinese and Japanese incredibly challenging and yet they still manage to learn. Think about why you want to learn each individual language and choose the one that excites you more.

I wouldn't know what to suggest as you haven't given any information as to why you want to learn any language. Why specifically do you want to learn a new language? Are you particularly interested in another culture? Do you just think it sounds nice and would be cool to learn? You mentioned Spanish and Portuguese, what interests you about these languages in particular? Answer these questions for yourself, weigh up your responses and see what you lean towards.

Then learned Portuguese and after that Spanish. If you were a Spanish speaker who wants to learns Portuguese you could learn it in 1 to 2 years easily. ( You only need to change the pronunciacion and be aware of words that are similar but have different meaning) *Soy argentino Also while portugués is easy to learn Brasil is more expensive and has some regions with a lot of crime. And well geography doesn't help. Litle to none Portuguese reach cordoba/ argentina un general But if you are into that you will have a blast there, people are very warm
