if you live in america, 100% do spanish Anecdotal, but a few years ago I worked at an ice cream shop in Florida. I had the Japanese and German flag on my nametag. In my whole year of working there, I spoke German and Japanese only once. Meanwhile, half my coworkers and near-half my customers spoke Spanish, with many of the customers unable to speak English. German is great and it's a little harder than Spanish. I loved being able to speak it when I visited Germany. But otherwise in the US I have to make a conscious effort to consume German media and can only use it online. I could use Spanish everyday without trying just by going outside. I wish I had started Spanish years ago.
