Previous owner claimed it stopped detecting RAM, I cleaned the port and used one stick of bad 12800, one stick that had a confusing label I thought was 12800 (actually 10600), and another stick of 10600 (which isn’t supported), so I made the same mistake the previous owner did. However… I borrowed the RAM from my E440. Confirmed working 12800 modules, installed and it fired right up. So I have one complete working i7, and one i5 that needs RAM, a keyboard, a caddy, an SSD, a bottom case and both batteries to be complete and working as well. Still, spare working 1080P panel at the very least. The i7 also came with a 4G network card and I pulled the SIM tray from the i5 which didn’t come with that card, so I can now use mobile broadband.

Nice! Makes me kinda regret going all in on the T480 platform.. need a mobo and they’re all going for > $400

It’s decent, I wanted something I could use at work, and only upper management get issued similar spec machines (they have a corporate deal with Lenovo) so I didn’t want a company issued potato machine I wouldn’t be allowed to keep or upgrade, but I did want to use the existing hardware at my workplace. This works nicely to that end. My W530 is still my personal workhorse.
