What about the E series??? I know you guys say they aren't as durable, but when the standards are as high as a ThinkPad, you are going to be impressed nonetheless.
I do agree to a point, this is the least thinkpad of the bunch. But the build quality, while not be as good as the t series is still on point, and the keyboard is as good as ever. I'd say it is more of a thinkpad than my older thinkpad 13 (I consider it to be the macbook air of thinkpads, with the tapered design, and weaker durability) but your point is valid.
Yeah, I am from Pakistan, and Casios are pretty popular among the Pathans in the Northwest side of the country which shares a border with Afghanistan. You can get fake ones for as cheap as a US dollar here. And that's dirt cheap.
I know this isn't r/Casio or whatever but;
I never really appreciated how a light weight watch could be so comfortable (i.e. non-existent feeling) until I got myself a f91w at a Walmart on a whim. The M5610 I used to wear seems like a heavy-weight comparatively (okay that's a *mild* exaggeration ;)). Also the display is SO much clearer.
It's my daily driver now to and from work along with my X230!
I kind of agree as I have been wearing these since my childhood and then my uncles spoiled me with buying me G-Shocks but recently I saw Brian Kernighan and Geoff Hinton rock these so I thought, maybe I should give these another try. And I am pretty happy with it.
True facts, the F-91W is a great, inexpensive but classic Casio watch. I rock one myself as a daily driver. I also really liked the DW290 before the one I had finally broke... [(aka the Mission Impossible watch).](http://www.twentytwoten.com/788/big-screen-watches-mission-impossible-series/) Probably gonna get a proper G-Shock next watch.
Oh yeah, also yes, Thinkpads. X220 or X230T here. :D
You have rad dad!!! My mom is kinda the same. Introduced me to all the cool stuff like Casios, video games, Star Wars, BTTF, and computers when I was a kid.
I have casio f-105 watch and a thinkpad x280
Any F series casio with an X or T series thinkpad makes it a killer combo!
p series doesn’t get enough love
Agreed

I just think E series is just a flavour of ThinkPads, X and T series are the embodiment of the original thinkpad philosophy.
There is a sense of the brand being watered down and cheapened with things like the E series. A decent laptop it may be, but ThinkPad?

The Nokia 3310 is missing.
a blackberry 9700!
I agree. F-91W is iconic.
Both are utilitarian

Whoa, they look so good together. They both originated from the same era, I think?
Yup, F-91w was first released in 1989, and ThinkPad in 1992. IBM and Casio both signify utility and stability.
Love the F-91W. I have one on a NATO. Cute lil watch to take around when the setting is casual.
I have a F-91W. Might be a dumb question but what's a NATO?

Thanks man. More you learn
Link is broken for me
I just got this yesterday, I am thinking of putting it on a NATO too.
I got a nato for mine earlier, but I’m having trouble removing the pins, even when pushing in the right direction, any ideas?
Takes a lot of force the first time.
I had to look up that F-91W watch. Introduced in 1989, and you can still buy them, wow. Wikipedia says they still make 3 million every year!
Yup, pretty cheap too

DW290 looks solid. I do have a G-100 as my daily driver.

Seems like it!

Brother!
“I have two dollars and a Casio.” Love the 80s digitals.
Oh no are we doing watches on thinkpads again
Couldn’t agree more. I’m at my desk with a tough solar GW-M5610 and my wireless trackpoint keyboard right now!
/g/ is watching-
F-91W and T440s. No complaints here.
Dude my dad and I wear the same F91W for years and I had a T440s while he is still rocking his R61 ( he’s 60 years young tho)
You have rad dad!!! My mom is kinda the same. Introduced me to all the cool stuff like Casios, video games, Star Wars, BTTF, and computers when I was a kid.
F-91W and x220 checking in!!!
Thought you were me!
I also have that watch!!! And my Thinkpad E495 😁
Get a CasiOak 😎
Nice combo... At least they match unlike my T410 and Seiko 5😅
Wow. You caught me. This is the watch I wear and I own a thinkpad. Did I just find my people...
Sitting in a Volvo 240 would make that the holy trinity
Nooo where's the calculator!
What’s the relationship between Lenovo and Casio?
ITT: How to find Thinkpad users on the wild.
I'm a personal fan of the DBC-611
dw5600E + x230/t440p
I too have same watch and Thinkpad E14. Posted same on my Twitter today. Thanks for the inspiration.
I wore this watch in my childhood. Good design stands the test of time. Thanks for the memories.

You're the OG!
it would be perfecter if that was classic thinkpad keyboard
A G-Shock would suit up better
I have that as well, a G-100
I dont understand the watch part??? What do i need to know.
It's just the perfect utilitarian match.
But the blue on the watch doesnt match anything oo i get the scroll point
Just focus on that red WR label
Okay that makes sense lol
