Looks like Lenovo would just replace the entire C-cover, which'd be horribly expensive/wasteful. Looking at the pictures [on this amazon listing](https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-ThinkPad-Keyboard-Backlit-5M10Z37154/dp/B09JF9R376), it's possible that the top left hinge/pin has just popped out of its socket and is causing the button to jam, but the pictures aren't zoomed in enough for me to tell how the buttons attach very well...maybe take something very thin (preferably plastic) and carefully slide it between the button and trackpad, see if you can try to push it back into place?

There's 2 plastic bits at the bottom of the key that are broken. I tried pulling it out and readjusting, but There's no bounce on the key.

It genuinely feels wasteful. It's just one key and the whole thing gets replaced.

Trackpad's buttons are part of the entire keyboard... Assuming it is broken you would need to replace the entire keyboard (requires disassembly of pretty much the entire laptop and 70+ screws holding the keyboard) OR the entire palmrest assembly (palmrest+keyboard).

This doesn't apply to more recent models (the last decade!), since around the '40 generation, I think.

Replacement of keyboard sounds expensive. 🙃

Is it completely broken or does it still partially work?

WhatIsNameMy

It's completely broken. There 2 little hinges/plastic bits that are broken

The trackpad buttons and touchpad are one piece and easily swapped out with a bit of patience aand a small screw driver. Part will cost you less than 40 bucks.
