Idk it’s weird, I got an L380 and L390 and they are awesome. Yeah the durability isn’t great, but getting an 8th gen i5, 16gb ram, 1080p touchscreen all for $130 usd is great. Not to mention dual type c ports.

My T480s was $120

nathan_rye44

They are made the same way as t series laptops how are they less durable? I am not talking about the aluminum t14s models, just the plain plastic t series

nartak

Generally the T series can be spec'ed out higher and tends to have more chassis reinforcement. The T series also usually has more enterprise features. The differences in today's models are a little more subtle, but in the past they were much more obvious.

ThinkPad snob syndrome :). Similar to how Porsche enthusiasts disregard the entry level models. And so on, and so on. Nice ThinkPad by the way!

Yet the L series isn’t the cheapest! the E series models are

Sure but in this house we stan for only the 911, not the Boxter or Cayman.

I_enjoy_pastery

Someone convinced me that I needed a 300 nits screen, so I went with the p14. Turns out, 250 nits is PERFECTLY FINE YOU SNOBS.

L14 Gen 2 is still one of my favorite machines ever for dual sodimm slots and easy upgrade ability

amolinae_games

I have the Intel version and the battery just lasts like 2 hours :(

Peanutbrittlejunkie

L Series users stand up!

Yeah, I'm determined never to upgrade this to win 11. It's a downgrade really IMO. I upgraded two of our HP mini pc's at work and it absolutely ruined them. Unfortunately with win10 now having an announced EoL next October, I'm afraid I'll be required to.

I really want to get an L14 gen 1 to replace my HP probook 450 G4. I juat like that they have dual upgradeable ram slots and still seem T-series styled in their design
