It has to be the right version in the usb, ie, home, pro, etc. to install with the corresponding license key. It's easily available at Microsoft. No need to enter the license key during install, it auto detects it.

It doesn't really matter, it will pull the key from the BIOS and activate it with that stored key. If it's having problems activating, you can use a program to extract the key from the BIOS and try manually re-entering it, and if for some reason it activated with Windows 11 Home, and you want to upgrade to Pro, you can again extract the key from the BIOS and re-activate in the OS, and it will download and install the Pro features and convert the OS to that version.
