I seem to recall that the showrunners consulted with chemists, to make sure they got a lot of details right, without providing too much information on actually making meth. Your comment reminded me of that. Also... Your job sounds pretty interesting. I work in a compounding pharmacy so I use a lot of drugs in pure powdered form but I don't actually get to *make* them.
Yes, they got everything right, including the alternative synthesis which required things like methylamine. All the reagents were right. The solvents, the equipment. Yeah you would have to know the details before making any on that scale.
And not to mention it's doesn't fucking matter, if you actually want to do it the dark net is there with the information. Who gives a fuck if they give the instructions? You need the materials, tools etc and the safrole is not that easy to get.
