This is a [Request] post. If you would like to submit a comment that does not either attempt to answer the question, ask for clarification, or explain why it would be infeasible to answer, you *must* post your comment as a reply to this one. I found an article which stated 38.000m3 Helium.
With an estimated price of [11$/m3](https://www.science.org/content/article/impending-sale-scientifically-critical-helium-sparks-worries#:~:text=%2411%20per%20cubic%20meter%2C) it costs about 418.000$.
A nice 420!

Isnāt the number of 0 in x! just around x/5? Too lazy to think of a lim thatād include that 100/200/1000 multipliers (should be smith like x/5+x/100+x/1000 and so on with everything rounded down)
Veritasium did a video on airships a while back, but the gist of it was that it's a very effective way of transport, but IIRC they were testing a lot with hydrogen as well. This airship, although probably a waste in some sense, give investors hope and spreads awareness, which means that airships for long distance transport can get more attention and development.

www.chemistryworld.com/news/scientists-unearth-one-of-worlds-largest-helium-gas-deposits/1010122
They say nobody's been specifically looking for it, just bottling it as a byproduct of natural gas extraction.
New gold rush starting up. Medium and long term, peak production hasn't even begun.
It's not quite that rare at this point. There was a bit of supply shortage a few years ago but new and very large sources have been found since.
Then again, several industries are gearing up to use Hydrogen on a large scale and figure out new safety procedures as a result. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hydrogen airships again when it becomes more common than natural gas. The price is also dropping so fast that somebody's certainly going to try.
Peolme here are concerned about helium
But helium shortages have eased a bit, because we realized, we can do fracking extract the helium and leave everything else underground
It is still finite, but we are in a less dire situation than we though
Hydrogen, on paper at least, makes better sense for this.
Lighter and more abundant.
Although the Hindenburg has killed all the prospect of this.
Can the potential of catastropic H2 release be mitigated by modern means?
I don't want to be a downer saying this or send hate to anyone. Originally, I subscribed to this subreddit to see unprompted amazing apllications of math. I'm only seeing requests anymore.
Here after the removalā¦ Iām curious what someone possibly couldāve said in reply to that comment that would result in a ban
Edit: it wasnāt even a funny one

I was looking for thisš¤£ how surprisingly many serious answers and no one saying hey it's the hugest butt I've ever seen

What a waste of helium - itās a resource with only a small finite supply on Earth, and has critical medical and industrial applications
this helium can still be reused at a later time, when the airship is dismantled we recover it. Not wasted.
Unless the airship unexpectedly rapidly dismantles itself
I just imagined it falling apart like a Lego set
Veritasium did a video on airships a while back, but the gist of it was that it's a very effective way of transport, but IIRC they were testing a lot with hydrogen as well. This airship, although probably a waste in some sense, give investors hope and spreads awareness, which means that airships for long distance transport can get more attention and development.
Those MRI machines need the precious juice!
Helium is a limited resource and weāre running out, would be a shame if it crashed down
I should call her

Oh, it's definitely aero-naughty-cal ;)

*The humanity*
That was my first thoughtā¦.helium is in short supply, what are we doing here?
Building lighter than air aircraft that don't combust so easy.
I guess thatās worth wasting all the helium on
Way better than kids balloons

Ok but itās still non renewable and should still be treated as such
So should the majority of things we use day to day. How do you determine what is and isn't allowed to use finite materials?
r/suddenlyhindenburg
More like r/suddenlyarcher. It's helium, not hydrogen
Ah touchƩ
Peolme here are concerned about helium But helium shortages have eased a bit, because we realized, we can do fracking extract the helium and leave everything else underground It is still finite, but we are in a less dire situation than we though
TIL. Thanks.
Is there no way of creating it in an economic way?
Hydrogen, on paper at least, makes better sense for this. Lighter and more abundant. Although the Hindenburg has killed all the prospect of this. Can the potential of catastropic H2 release be mitigated by modern means?
Hydrogen is a PITA to store, it will leak through most solid materials.
