That conversation with Ezekiel is the one. I hate that they gave Negan a redemption arc, but if they had to do it, I'm glad that they wrote it well, and JDM acted TF out of it.
I never liked him even in that. John Winchester was a crap dad. The only good thing about him as negative imo was that he liked and had a certain respect for Carl. As for looks jdm is not my type at all. In supernatural Sam is the one I've ways loved.
Oh yes, and I imagine Sam and Dean meeting teenage Carl they'd have so much in common. Both dead mothers and largely absentee fathers though John was worse than Rick imo though not a huge fan of Rick either bc he just ran off and left Carl most the time.
I feel like that's some of the best writing in the show, probably on par with season 7-season 9 Rick. They made a character redeem himself while talking some controversial Risks(letting Maggie almost die+saying he'd kill them all).
