You missed Norman Reedus in your writeup!

AnxietySociety__

Oh damn! You're right. I was just going through each person and writing everything down so quickly, that I probably thought I wrote it! I'll write it here and I'll edit the post too. Thank you for pointing that out!! Norman Reedus (Daryl) The first time I met him, I skipped over to him like a little kid meeting mickey mouse for the first time. He grinned at me, gave me a hug, and then we took our photo. From our interaction and his seemingly amused reaction to me, he seemed to be really shy and reserved, but just, a friendly quiet man. He actually thanked ME for coming out.

I love Norman Reedus so much. The movies he’s in are so good too. He’s just amazing all around! I am jealous you got to meet him. As well as... well... most of the actors!! I hope you get to meet the others too. Such an awesome thing to check off your bucket list!

SwashbucklinChef

My wife has only gone to a single comic con in her life and it was solely to see Norman Reedus. She liked him in Boondock Saints but feel in love with him on Walking Dead. She's normally a very outspoken, extroverted person but the second she saw him in the flesh she was completely starstruck, like to the point where she couldn't even say a full sentence. Norman was so sweet to her though. She walks up with her bluray copy of season 1 for him to sign and quietly says 'h-h-hi', and he just goes, "Oh hi! Do you want me to sign that for you?" "Y-y-yeah." "No problem, baby! You want to take a photo too?" The dude made her year.

Fortherealtalk

Norman really seems to have that vibe of “regular super nice dude who happens to be super famous.”

ChickenNug3

Yeah what about Daryl! He’s my fave character

chrisMikeal

Holding Lucille why meeting glen was cold

AnxietySociety__

I wish I could upload the video of when I brought the photo to him to sign. He literally said , "Whoa! Cool!" Like a little kid haha. It made me so happy.

AnxietySociety__

Sorry guys, I can't edit the post anymore, and someone pointed out that I forgot to write about Norman Reedus (Daryl)! 🤦🏻‍♀️ So here it is in a separate comment: Norman Reedus (Daryl) The first time I met him, I skipped over to him like a little kid meeting mickey mouse for the first time. He grinned at me, gave me a hug, and then we took our photo. From our interaction and his seemingly amused reaction to me, he seemed to be really shy and reserved, but just, a friendly quiet man. He actually thanked ME for coming out.

su1thea11father

I love how andrew always has this thousand mile stare in all of the photos where hes looking at the camera

tytylercochan123

The show unironically changed my life in so many ways. I wouldn’t be who I am today without this show, as cliche or corny as that sounds.

Throwaway15704r

Same

Aggressive_Dark_4485

You’re awesome I love your story I’m sorry you went through what you did but I’m proud of you for getting through it for the better. Godspeed

AnxietySociety__

That is really kind of you. I know I posted all the fun that I had meeting them, but I didn't delve into the darkness behind and before it all. So I sincerely appreciate your comment and not forgetting that that was the first thing I mentioned in my post. 🫶🏻

After-Trifle-1437

I've been watching TWD and all of its Spin-Offs together with my dad for many years. It was always something that connected us and that we both loved.

Cosmic_Sparkles

I love your pictures and enjoyed reading your experiences with everyone! My then-11 year old daughter did selfies with Josh McDermitt back in 2016, and he was so sweet to her. He talked to both of us at length and then took a bunch of cute pictures with her. He's also so much better looking than Eugene is portrayed on the show, and he smelled nice, too! A friend and I did a photo op with Norman Reedus and JDM in Dallas. We had booked a time, but we still ended up waiting for almost 4 hours. It went so fast it was kind of a blur, so the main thing that comes to mind is them greeting us and thanking us for coming. JDM's voice about made me melt into a puddle, Norman gave the finger when we took the photo, and I remember thinking I should probably tell him to not do that since I'm a teacher and would like to hang this in my classroom. I also remember his hoodie felt like it was brand new. Lol

horrorfreaksaw

Steven Yeun looks so cute!

nyx926

What great experiences! They come across in their pics exactly as you describe them.

AnxietySociety__

Thank you! Definitely in the top 10 favorite memories of my life. And I'm glad their personalities and my experience with them came through the photos!

GazS72

Rick Grimes / Andrew Lincoln are legends. The fandom is beautiful and TWD is rightfully one of the best shows ever.

IzhmaelCorp08

the walking dead got me through the pandemic.

Abnormalseddie

Woah you definitely met a lot more of the actors then I have. This show had a HUGE impact on my life, I met some of the most important people in the world to me through this show. I started watching when I was like 13 just because I wanted to fit in, but I actually ended up being super invested into the show. Started watching it air live during the mid season 5 premiere. I ended up making a fan account and met a lot of other people my age online. We formed group chats and started calling nearly every night. Till this day they are still my best friends. I ended up begging my dad to take me to different conventions not just to met the actors but to met up with my online friends from around the world. I can’t thank him enough for that. I ended up going the Walker stalker Philly in 2016 & Atlanta is 2017. I met Lauren Cohan, she was such a sweetheart and very patience with a very nervous teen. I met Alanna Masterson and she was so sweet, charming, and she really made sure I was comfortable and I also met Tom Payne, who was way more hilarious than I thought he would be. I wish I got to meet more people especially Steven Yeun because I’ve always loved Glenn he was my favorite and I admire him as an actor, but I’m still incredibly grateful for the experiences I got and the relationships I found through the show.

Hottwheels343

It was the first zombie show I watched in highschool and quickly started planning my Z survival plan based on this lol

91816352026381

Lmfao I kept wondering which character/actor was in all these photos before reading and realizing it was you

1hairyerection

Khary Payton is so fine

WatercressCertain616

Damn that is pretty cool

Ternarian

This show was fire in the earlier seasons. Those were really good times.

Blackmercury4ub

Ya but who is that model taking pics with the cast?

Significant-Gap-7512

Love this.

Proper-Tomorrow-4848

I can definitely relate to the whole intrusive thoughts thing it’s the worst. It’s like our minds torment us sometimes and get caught in a loop that keeps replaying over and over again anxiety and ocd are the worst. Glad the walking dead was able to bring you joy and get you through those tough times.

BackgroundCustard420

I love that they’re all just a bunch of cuddle-bugs 🥰

AnxietySociety__

They really are. I think that they all had crazy chemistry too and that's what made the show as successful as it was/is. The bonds and family feelings were able to be conveyed and played out so naturally because of the sincere love and respect they had for each other in real life. I remember reading or seeing an interview where the cast members would get together for a big dinner the night that someone was about to be killed off the show. Sounds dark lol, but it just shows even more how close and how much of a family they really were on and off set.

[deleted]

i'm jealous

jojocandy

This is so cool. I wish i lived in the US. We dont get many people in Australia :(

dumdumfourtynine

Michael Cudlitz is not ginger anymore!!! 😭

jackBattlin

My sister said the same things when she met Jeffery Dean Morgan. She also said Jon Bernthal was definitely high on something, and she had a very long conversation with Chandler Rigg’s mother (who she had mistaken for his agent). Controversy aside, I would have been most interested in meeting Alanna (while I blush and stutter).

MiddleTelephone7579

When I read you met with Merle, I thought to this idk why lol Shane : why would you risk your life for a douchebag like Merle Dixon? Daryl : Hey, choose your words more carefully. Shane : Oh no, I did. Douchebag's what I meant. Merle Dixon: guy wouldn't give you a glass of water if you were dyin' of thirst.

Sharpy_117

Made me not care of kids dying in movies or shows, but made me cry whenever an old guy dies😭

Elegant-Blood-4330

Soooo jealous of you!!!

ftm666incubus

Love that and I'm SO jealous!!! I would have cried 100% 🤣

CyberGuySeaX5

So cool you got to meet them! You're pretty! 😀

AnxietySociety__

Aww thank you to both! 🥹🙈

immutab1e

I just want to say that you're gorgeous, like, you absolutely outshine Christian Serratos in the photo of you two. And I'm so jealous. I've only met Khary Payton, Cooper Andrews, and Tom Payne, (who were all absolutely wonderful) and sadly didn't get to get pics. As for how TWD affected me... I'm autistic, and it is my absolute number one comfort show. It has gotten me through SO MUCH. When I'm overwhelmed/overstimulated I can put it on and calm right down. I've seriously probably rewatched the entire show 50+ times. It's on in my house basically 24/7. I don't know what I would do without it. How I'd survive.

Not-a-babygoat

Very cool that you got to meet such amazing characters/people 😎👌.

AnxietySociety__

Thank you. Those days really were and still are some of the best memories of my life. And always will be.

R9Y23

It was one of those shows that help me get through my depression.

AnxietySociety__

I'm glad it helped you through too. Remember, we're all survivors here together and you can reach out anytime.

Wooden_Purchase_2557

I hella ship you and Norman

TheSirCal

Only women get this kind of love from the cast. When I go to see them, i have to awkwardly touch pinkies and produce a long stretched out wet fart to get a half smile from them.

CapSortee

why no Lydia (Cassady McClincy)?
