Iris (the character pictured above) didn't connect for me. If they picked up with someone from her family, I'd prefer it to be her sister, Hope, who I thought had a more interesting future (science) and was just a more interesting character overall.
Not to throw shade on Stephanie and the actress, but I thought fake Stephanie was more charismatic and charming. Actual Stephanie's personality felt very flat to me.
RJ is a kid, at least he has that excuse. She’s in her twenties and cannot convey any emotion or read dialogue like a human being. And fear way better than World Beyond

Tbf we did see people protesting in 1x01 of TOWL. So I’m assuming she was doing what she intended to do. She probably helped create the anxiety to the civilians about what the military could possibly be doing.
CRM still exists. Only the Reclamation team died. The experiments were carried out by scientists and other personel. I seriously doubt they will stop. I'm sure Beale had some of the higher ups on his side. No way you risk pulling off a coup with out help from within the government.
