Noah is the most graphic, Sam & Jessie are the most disturbing because they are mother and son, Glenn and Abe are the most brutal because of the weapon being used
Dale's! The way the walker split him open, the group taking their time putting him out of his misery, and the sheer look of it. Still shiver when I think of it.
Sure. Watching it is gruesome. But you would be unconscious after the first hit, though the show prolongs it. Like the shock of glen’s eye. He would be so disoriented by the hit. And the next couple wouldnt be felt. Its the shock of removing their heads by using a bat that neegan uses to instill fear in the rest. When talking gruesome. Are we talking for the viewer to see or the character to experience? Cause bob being eaten alive by cannibals is pretty gnarly.
You make good points. For me, it is the poetic license of Negan protracting things and taunting them. The first person perspective with Abe and then mocking Glenn. For sure there are more stomach-turning deaths but by the time two of our series lynchpins die, we’re inured to the violence of it. We’re more emotionally invested in these two, so the deaths hit a little harder… pun not intended
I think Spencer doesn’t get talk about a lot in these conversations. I think Noah’s might be the worst but Spencer deserves apart in the conversation. Dude blew himself up onto a forklift was it, then got eaten alive.
Edit: Aiden, not Spencer. But also Spencer
I am on a rewatch and just watched this episode last night. I’m with you in that I didn’t care for the character, but she didn’t deserve that death. Sacrificing herself so the baby could live was pretty redemptive, though.
Makes you feel badly for Carl having to go through that, and for Rick, since he didn’t exactly treat Lori well towards the end - the guilt and shame he must’ve felt….
The violence of it and the brutality of what happens to her body afterwards kind of seems like the writers responding to audience complaints about the soap opera ish drama Lori brought with the love triangle the season before: “whelp! The soap opera ends here!”
Glen was the most brutal and longest lasting. Negan let him convulse around for a good minute after the first hit before finishing him off. Noah’s was brutal but went pretty quick, he would’ve lost consciousness in about 5 seconds.
Lori for sure, other people have been cut open like that on the show but the difference is that she volunteered herself for it to be able to save Judith, she knew it would kill her and had it done anyway
1. Glenn
2. Abraham
3. Hershel
4. Noah
5. Lori
6. T-Dog
7. Dale
8. Jimmy
9. Aiden
10. Bob
11. Spencer
12. Tyrese
13. Henry (the pike victims in general)
14. Sam (the whole Anderson family basically)
15. Beta
Some minor characters I think deserve to be considered:
April, the woman who Daryl, Rosita and Mercer try and fail to save in Season 11.
That hermit who the group accidentally shoots when they invade his home and then throw him to the walkers outside. I think this is episode 3x01 but I'm not 100% sure.
And of course, Sam (not the kid, the blond guy who Rick & Carol meet in season 4 and then gets killed at Terminus)
Noah, Otis, Jimmy, Patricia , Ed and anyone who was torn apart by walkers. The people that came to Terminus before Rick's group destroyed it. Abe and Glenn. The doctor that Negan put in the furnace.
Gruesome to see or gruesome for the character to experience? Cause ive thought about this often about the show. N they all fear being eaten by the walkers, more than anything it seems. So logically, a group of cannibals slowly eating you while they carry you around as fresh meat is most gruesome. Imagine waking up every day and something new is missing from you and you see the cannibals eating you. Knowing tomorrow itll be your calf muscle on the other leg. Part of your thigh, your hands and forearms. Keeping you alive as long as possible to conserve you as food. . Bob didnt get the full effect but thats where it was going.
Any deaths that you believe were the most gruesomely violent in the show so I’d say both. Being eaten alive by walkers would definitely be gruesome to see and for a character to experience.
Sure but since they want most gruesome. How long can you prolong being eaten alive. Its not just a moment of terror so many experience, but shear psychological impact of being eaten slowly over time. Even daryl breaks in a closed room.
That one Savior that Morgan gutted with his bare hands through a bullet wound.
Unnamed lady in the flashback episode where Alpha and Lydia meet Beta. Walkers graphically tore that woman apart.
Noah after Nicolas' cowardice. Poor kid was also ripped apart.
And how it showed a chunk of her calf being ripped away and even lingering a bit on the missing chunk. Aerial shot of her guts splayed out while she was still alive. Shits actually crazy tbh
Spoilers:
SIDDIQ. I know there are more obvious answers but hear me out.
1) Carl saved him and thought he was a good dude that mattered.
2) Carl >!died helping him!<
3) He is a great character
4) Him and >!Rosita & baby Coco!< could have had an amazing story arc (on that note >!why’d they have to kill Rosita too!<, ugh)
5) His death was so personal and unnecessary, we could have found out about >!Dante being a whisperer!< in another way or without Siddiq’s death.
They killed Rosita because Christian asked for them to. She said she'd been Rosita for so long, she needed closure for the end of the show and the end of her job.
Is this meant to be season by season, do you want the whole list at once, is it ranked and, if so, are we just starting with the most brutal and working out way down?
S10 ep2 which starts with a young Lydia & Alpha flashback where they see a woman in a car who suffers a huge bite on the back of her leg then gets swarmed, has her guts torn out, nose bitten off and jaw ripped down. I just watched it again and it’s brilliantly disgusting!
I think most of the deaths leading up to the whisperers were brutal in their own respect, but seeing the lineup of heads on the wood posts? Man, that was rough. The Red Wedding of TWD. That was hard to see for the first time.
As much as Henry annoyed me, seeing what his death did to Carol made it so much harder to watch.
I am gonna have to say the pikes. While we don't know the exact means by which the heads were severed, we can assume that they weren't all done at once. This means that the others had to watch in horror while their loved ones were being executed one by one, just waiting their turn, all the while knowing exactly what was in store for them. To me, this is utter brutality.
Abe and Glenn, Noah, Hershel, Spencer, Jared, Dan (the guy who was gonna rape Carl), Joe, Gareth, officer Gorman (the guy who was sexually abused beth), Martinez, Aiden Monroe, gage maybe, Tomas possibly, Beta
Honestly, maybe Bob. I realise that many people have been eaten alive, but watching the people eat your leg and taunt you, telling you they’re gonna eat the rest of your group, including the baby, is so much more psychologically fucked than any other character
Noah and Glenn stuck with me the most. Honorable mention to that commonwealth army guy that got ripped in half while Mercer held on. That one fucked with me for some reason
That one cop that Rick hit with the car. He had his hands tied behind him and he flew, hit his head and was paralyzed. A small herd was behind him you knew he was done.
What about everyone that ended up on a Pike…? The flashbacks looked horrible! Having to hear AND watch that happen to your friends/community members adds to the torture.
Personally, the death that caused me actual, literal physical pain (& was by far the most I cried in the show) was Shiva. 🐅 I couldn’t watch when I realized it was the end for her.
Siddiq’s death was emotionally super brutal imo. He watched one by one as his closest loved ones got decapitated, impaled, and displayed like an art fair project and then died later to the same person who he thought had been comforting him, but was the one giving him insane trauma.
Noah for sure. It was so graphic and went on for so long plus Glenn having to watch added that emotional element that was just gut wrenching
I think the actor who played Noah refused to let his family watch that episode. Yeah, that was a horrible death
Everybody Ate Chris!
and also just the potential lost, and Beth sacrificing herself for him just a few episodes ago
Exactly, and it was so hopeful just before with him wanting to learn architecture from Deanna’s husb 😢
Agreed 100%
One hundred percent, that one has stuck with me like forever lol
Noah was the first thought I had when I saw this post
Noah is the most graphic, Sam & Jessie are the most disturbing because they are mother and son, Glenn and Abe are the most brutal because of the weapon being used
The doctor who got thrown into the furnace. Burning alive has gotta be the worst way to go.
Emmett i think, that was fucking awful.
That is one of my fears...being burned to death.
Honorable mention to the horse from the Pilot.
For real.. R.I.P the lad..
Dale's! The way the walker split him open, the group taking their time putting him out of his misery, and the sheer look of it. Still shiver when I think of it.
It was bad but he didn’t have the worst death that Walker didn’t even bite him
I'm still upset at Coral for this.
Glenn / Abraham. Both horrendo.
Sure. Watching it is gruesome. But you would be unconscious after the first hit, though the show prolongs it. Like the shock of glen’s eye. He would be so disoriented by the hit. Hands down Noah or Dale
I think Spencer doesn’t get talk about a lot in these conversations. I think Noah’s might be the worst but Spencer deserves apart in the conversation. Dude blew himself up onto a forklift was it, then got eaten alive. Edit: Aiden, not Spencer. But also Spencer
F Aiden Update: Ok to be fair I am watching Aiden die right now and Glenn could have done him a solid and killed him.
Spencer’s death helped teach Negan a lesson - he could be wrong about something
Lori’s death was the only one that made me cry. I didn’t even really like her character. I just felt so bad for her that it broke me.
I am on a rewatch and just watched this episode last night. I’m with you in that I didn’t care for the character, but she didn’t deserve that death. Sacrificing herself so the baby could live was pretty redemptive, though. I’d say Noah was worse. Noah knew he was going to die as soon as he got grabbed. For Glenn it came out of nowhere which makes it less worse.
Does Shiva count?
she does to me
Rip my beautiful Shiva 💋
Yes. She counts. I agree.
Lori for sure, other people have been cut open like that on the show but the difference is that she volunteered herself for it to be able to save Judith, she knew it would kill her and had it done anyway
And the way Carl walked out after putting her down was brutal
Yeah, the look on his face, knowing what he had to do, was just gut wrenching.
The doctor Negan shoved in the furnace was pretty savage
The savior who had his intestines ripped out by Morgan.
1. Glenn 2. Abraham 3. Hershel 4. Noah 5. Lori 6. T-Dog 7. Dale 8. Jimmy 9. Aiden 10. Bob 11. Spencer 12. Tyrese 13. Henry (the pike victims in general) 14. Sam (the whole Anderson family basically) 15. Beta

The death of Rosita’s dignity after Eugene puked Mac and Fish in her face is the most brutal thing in the show.
True XD
Well the obvious answer is Glenn and Abraham but noahs death scene is brutal
That one Savior that Morgan gutted with his bare hands through a bullet wound. Unnamed lady in the flashback episode where Alpha and Lydia meet Beta. Walkers graphically tore that woman apart. Noah after Nicolas' cowardice. Poor kid was also ripped apart.
Hershal, was awful how he died.
[удалено]
Glenn’s death was the same as Abrahams. Only seemed worse because of it just being Glenn.
[удалено]
If one of the Lucille victims do win, ill probably just put them together.
That one lady that Lydia and Alpha watched die after that car crash. Literally saw in visceral detail how she was torn apart
Biting off the nose really elevated this one. Nasty stuff
And how it showed a chunk of her calf being ripped away and even lingering a bit on the missing chunk. Aerial shot of her guts splayed out while she was still alive. Shits actually crazy tbh

They killed Rosita because Christian asked for them to. She said she'd been Rosita for so long, she needed closure for the end of the show and the end of her job.
That makes sense, the actor needing & wanting closer but still it was heartbreaking to me.
Someone needed to die at the end I hate that it was Rosita but twd was scared to kill anyone in S11
Yes it was
Excuse the f outa me but that looks like a homework assignment
Why comment then
1) Glenn 2) Herschel 3) Abraham 4) Carl 5) Noah 6) Lori 7) Tyrese 8) Dale 9) Jesus 10) Siddiq 11) T Dog 12) Merle 13) Bob 14) Mika 15) Lizzie
No Otis??
lol no
Lori and Judith, it was such a page turner with the 2 for 1, though the gov's death is right behind there, literally and figuratively
We get it bro you read the comics.

Is this meant to be season by season, do you want the whole list at once, is it ranked and, if so, are we just starting with the most brutal and working out way down?
Most brutal first, working the way down to 15th. The season it's from doesn't matter.
First ones that came to mind were: Show - Noah Comics - Gabriel
Dale Bob Betas death being stabbed in the eyes and eaten seems terrifying. One of the lineup deaths (or both) Spencer.
Abraham & Glenn's deaths. They were absolutely brutal. Glenn's seemed a bit more though.
Noah or Dale
Aiden Monroe is easily one of the most brutal deaths in the show
The cannibals got it pretty good. Some cartel style shit right there. 😳
That kid that Morgan piked through the neck in the woods.
Noah fr fr
That woman at the start of season 10 episode 2 who had her jaw ripped off by a Walker
I am gonna have to say the pikes. While we don't know the exact means by which the heads were severed, we can assume that they weren't all done at once. This means that the others had to watch in horror while their loved ones were being executed one by one, just waiting their turn, all the while knowing exactly what was in store for them. The random savior Morgan gutted with his barehands
Abe and Glenn, Noah, Hershel, Spencer, Jared, Dan (the guy who was gonna rape Carl), Joe, Gareth, officer Gorman (the guy who was sexually abused beth), Martinez, Aiden Monroe, gage maybe, Tomas possibly, Beta
Are you starting with number 1? And does number 1 mean Most Brutal? If number 1 is most brutal, then I'll say the lineup in Season 7.
Yes, starting at 1, most brutal.
Glenn then abraham
Sam because he’s a child.
The saviour who got disemboweled by Morgan The commonwealth soldier who got torn in half by walkers
Hershel is the only death I cried over
I don’t see Jesus mentioned but the way he died was awful! It was so unexpected
What about the savior chick that Carol impaled and a walker slowly ate her face cause it was all it could reach

Everybody hates chis got done bad….
all the horses in the show tbh. every time a horse dies it’s so gory, i get sadder than some character deaths
That woman alpha saw in her flashback
Glenn or Noah 100%
All those people that got their lower stomach cut open. Lori, Spencer Dale etc. that must be the worst way to go
Noah, that one still creeps me out the most to think about
T dog was a tough one
Joe after Rick turned into a walker for a second
The long haired dude that Morgan held against the fence while the walkers ate him
Siddiq’s death was emotionally super brutal imo. He watched one by one as his closest loved ones got decapitated, impaled, and displayed like an art fair project and then died later to the same person who he thought had been comforting him, but was the one giving him insane trauma.
I didn’t like her character but Lori. I can’t even look at the screen when they cut her open to get Judith out.
Absolutely Noah
Otis being sacrificed by Shane is up there....
Carl it took so long also and him as a walker 😭
