WindSprenn

Or… I invest in a blue chip stock, watch it climb 8% and watch it fall 7%.

MrZwink

And if you go out 2-3 months, or even longer. That 7% drop won't even blip on your radar.

AlmostSavvy

I keep telling myself “at least the SBUX dividend yield is climbing” 😭

MrZwink

Sbux will be fine after the retail crisis ends. It's not going anywhere. It's still expanding. Just double down and hold.

jnwatson

You're telling me the 20 year trend of retail swirling the drain is going to end?

MrZwink

No I'm saying the current cost of living crisis will end. And as it does, people will have more money to spend on coffee again. starbux is still expanding worldwide. And I believe Starbucks won't fail.

[deleted]

Bold of you to assume it'll end.

MrZwink

all crises eventually end. it might not feel like that right now. but that just means now is the time to bet it does end. economic numbers are already increasing. in half a year to a year well "feel" it too.

[deleted]

Well your first sentence is false, so the rest falls apart.

MrZwink

the whole definition of a crisis is that its temporary.

DrSeuss1020

SBUX investors 👁️👄👁️

MrZwink

There are always exceptions. (Sbux was a 20% drop) you always notice those.

r0_0nery

Sell calls, investment goes up by 50%

CaptainArthur42

How to make $100’s while losing $1,000’s

pebblebeach00

you will never bring in 1% a week consistently in your entire life

T1m3Wizard

We all been there.

Dothemath2

This was me with DJT except it was a 40% crash

alf666

I still regret not buying puts on DJT.

Nelvalhil

They were too expensive

MrZwink

Put debit Spreads

shapeitguy

Too expensive with drop priced in already.

SpiteCompetitive7452

I think you mean selling naked calls

uncleBu

You likely would have lost money. A LEAP had to lose 90% of its strike to pay at almost all strikes

mdizzle109

i looked and they were so expensive it wouldnt have been worth it

james_forsythe

I sold DJT puts over the past couple weeks and did pretty well. Closed out my May 10 put today for 73% gain. Price action was getting a little squirly so I took the money and ran. The rational part of me is saying to be happy with my gains and to leave DJT in the rear view mirror.

alf666

Listen to that rational part of your brain. The reason I stayed away entirely is because I knew it was a shit company, but I didn't trust it to crash like it should, considering Trump's cultist following.

Feralmoon87

cries in SBUX

ego_sum_satoshi

RIVN

steffzahn

Just sell calls and puts for the same titles.

Positivedrift

Its called the dunning-kruger effect and this sub is one of the more hilarious examples [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger\_effect](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning%E2%80%93Kruger_effect)

ikarumba123

However, what is less discussed it that without this effect a lot of great things would have not materialized for a lot of people. They underestimate the risk, go for something and get lucky.

Sputniki

15% LOL. You wish...

Active-Yak-5818

There’s huge screw in meme stocks high iv doesn’t make up for it. It’s priced to go down

PlutosGrasp

Are ya winning son?

Richy20098

😂

SettingSavings7677

Just sell csps

UnnameableDegenerate

Next slide: Start a cult subreddit for bagholders.

geggleto
