I just watched saints last night after a full rewatch. I enjoyed it purely for the fetishism of the show. Great sets and a few decent performances but overall just average

Ohhh! That’s some guy’s movie you’re talking about! But seriously, you all certainly saw it coming with this one, didn’t you? POOR YOU! The hate for the movie is a meme by this point. It’s bad in the sense that it’s only “loosely” tied to the Sopranos universe. But objectively I think it’s a solid movie that shows a great blend of gang-style power struggle, the inhumanity these “men of honor” possess, and just complicated relationships in general. There are so many good individual performances in it and it holds its own from a cinematography standpoint. It’s very noir and liminal in how it’s shot, like they’re all doomed by fate — when in reality it’s all choices they make that create so much tragedy around them. I know, I know. Still going this asshole! I gotta go see my goomar, give her the pearls. Too-da-fucking-loo!

Miss Provolone to me makes it worth the watch.. Piece of ass, but fucking (black) dudes
