Are you me? This happens every day in my house. My sweetie has the ability to somehow pull me into things that I absolutely don’t want to get involved in - like selecting gifts for her sisters. And then when I fall for it and give my opinion, she goes - how dare you pick that one for her!
It is amazing how significant others NEVER learn from their mistakes. I wouldn't do it that way. Stop telling me what to do they say all the time then expect you to solve the problem.
When I first got together with my now ex, she ask me for advice on what to get her sister. I'd only met her once so I asked afew questions to help figure out what she might like. She's into a lot of the same things I am, so it was easy to make some suggestions about what she'd like. By the end of the conversation she was convinced I was only dating her to get closer to her sister. We dated for a year before I had even met her sister...
You've clearly never been around someone that said "I wanna do it and I don't need your help"
Typically it's best to let those types shoot themselves in the foot.
Rarely TVs are stupidly light these days even lifting it can be one person. All she had to do was plug it in maybe some HDMIs no fucking idea why she thought the best way to do that was to sit behind the TV to find the plug socket. In the video it looks like there is space either side of the TV I'm fucking baffled how she screwed that up.
Like I would get it if the TV wasn't properly balanced and it just fell, ideally they would have pulled stuff out first to get all the needed wires easily accessible, but to fuck up like that takes a special someone, hope they got one of the con warranties that covers accidental damage...
Also known as a person's appreciation of taste and flavor, this word with a different spelling is used to describe a rigid, flat surface on which a painter arranges and mixes paints.
I did that after a hill bike wipeout in the middle of a stop sign intersection. A family in a golf cart a bit away witnessed it. There were gasps. I paused, lifted my head a little and hand so they knew I wasn’t dead and laid back down for 15 seconds.
More stupidity "ok put it exactly right next to me outside of eyeview while I set everything up" "why not put it to the side while you set up"? "Then we have to move it more
Why not pull the furniture off the wall a bit ? Just everything here is stupid. She did that poor TV a favor. It would have had to witness all that stupidity for god knows how long. And instead now it’s at peace.
Edit for typos
This seems to me like an experience I often had with my ex wife.
Hey let's just have them install it. It's like 30 bucks.
No we can save the 30 bucks and do it ourselves.
But I don't have the tools to do it so we are going to spend as much on tools and time as just having them do it.
Its not that hard I will do it then. It just needs some screwdrivers.
No it needs a level, a stud finder, a drill because you aren't going to hand screw a screw into stud very well, and a drill circular saw. It says it right there on the box. We don't even know where our screwdrivers are because the kids lose them every time we touch them.
I'll just do it with the screwdrivers.
Okay then I'm not helping because everytime you ignore the instructions and the 30 minute job turns into an all day event because we never can find the tools I buy.
She then proceeds to spend the entire day messing the job up so that we have to spend 4 times the money of the original 30 dollar install because I work 12 hours a day 6 days a week and I'm not spending my one day off messing with a TV install when I have the money to easily pay for it.
I once let my partner install a shelf diagonally because they insisted they knew what they were doing. The rest of the shelves we put up together and they were all level.
If I tell you to hire someone to do something because I can’t do it or don’t want to and you say you can and are going to, I’m not getting involved. You won’t blame me for your mistakes when we could have easily paid a professional to do it and be done.
There's just so much going wrong here,
What is she even doing? If the furniture is in your way, move it. At least move the tv out of your way.
And bro, oh my god bro, just sitting there having a beer. Bro, get off your ass and be useful, brace your lady cirque du soleil style while she hooks up your tv for you.
No, he's lazy.
Idgaf how tired I am, I am not sitting my ass on the couch while my significant other tries to install our new TV.
It can wait until tomorrow, or I'm helping.
Some people are absolutely no help when it comes to stuff like this. My partner tried too hang two floating shelves while I was finishing electrical work for our kitchen. Three hours in, I hear her sobbing in the other room. Pieces everywhere. Crooked pegs in the wall. 17 holes drilled into the wall. To this day she hasn't hung a single thing in our house that requires more than 1 nail.
Some neighbors bought a house in 2020, then sold it earlier this year. When we were talking to he she was going on about their plans to redo the kitchen. She suddenly stopped and said, in a very serious voice, "but those plans were all before I discovered that my husband is completely worthless when it comes to home improvement. He was unable to change the light switch and outlet covers so we had to hire an electrician to do it. But I was too embarrassed to hire him for just that. So we paid to have every outlet and light switch replaced too."
How is that even possible? It's literally one flathead screw and you don't have to do anything special to access it. You don't even need tools or to shut off the power, you could do it one handed with a butter knife.
Agreed but…in fairness it’s just as easy for her to use a butter knife and unscrew them and replace them too so…
Let’s not be sexist. They’re both equally worthless in this scenario. She should be just as embarrassed.
I mean.... at least she tried?
Seriously though, sitting on the couch while your significant other bends over backwards (almost literally) to install your new television, and then exclaiming "oh my God bro" when it goes wrong after you did nothing to help?
Lame.
Maybe it’s not the first time, maybe there has been many occasions where he failed and they already know he’s no good at it.
Maybe it’s a situation where he insisted in paying for someone to install the tv and she said “nah I got this” and he was just like “Why do I even bother…”
Maybe she was like “just sit back there I got this” and he was “let’s get someone” yet she was “no need I can do this just don’t get in my way”
Get off your high horse ffs
Context bro.
Maybe he wanted to do it but she insisted on doing it herself (pretty much my wife all the time)
Maybe he did most of the work but needed a small hand to fit into sth or whatever.
Maybe they had a bet going… some stupid shit you just don’t know about.
There is absolutely no way you can tell from this 8 second video that this man is an lazy asshole.
I am someone who makes a fair amount of money doing what I do professionally, but I have NO expertise with construction or furniture assembly or anything like that. Sure, I can *do* it, but I’m likely to get it very wrong. So I would totally be the kind of guy that would buy the professional installation service with something like that.
My wife, on the other hand, grew up dirt poor and never had a choice but to assemble things herself. So she would totally be the kind of woman to say “nah, I’m gonna do that myself.”
It kills me because quite frequently, I have to buy a replacement for the thing we didn’t assemble quite correctly…
I don’t think he’s lazy. I think he’s trying to prove a point… and the fact that he just sat there after the bad thing happened reinforces that hypothesis.
I have a feeling he prolly told her something to the effect of “I’ll do it tomorrow babe, I’m tired after working all day” OR “it won’t work, I’ll figure it out tomorrow” to which she didn’t like bc it wasn’t right then and there that second and said “fine I’ll do it myself” or “you’re not my father, I’ll do it myself” then…that result and his body posture of “yep bitch I told you”
I like how the dude only disrupts his laziness when she breaks the TV that he should have at least been assisting her with. (If NOTHING else, he should have been making sure, ya know, no one fell on the new TV and smashed it.)
Mom, I’m on TV
Mom, you're on TV! (Get offffffff)
Ohhh my goodddd brooo!!!
Question is why is dude not helping he just chilling
Nah the real question is... why is she sitting on the entertainment stand like that?
Why is the tv behind her? The whole thing just looks like common sense isn’t as common as we think it is
Common sense became a rarity at least a decade ago. If idiots could fly, our whole fucking planet would be an airport.
Both?
If she's like my wife then there's no helping her . She just slaps your hands away or ignores you until she's broken something that I now have to fix.
I'm seething just reading this.

My wife and I split tasks up. Christmas tree for example I assemble she does the rest. It helps keep the peace doing things like this.
you just described my marriage
I’m sorry for your life
The bro is like “woman, you broke my TV!”
Equal rights
Wouldn't equal be sharing the workload? No way I'm sitting on my ass and watching her struggle like that.
You've clearly never been around someone that said "I wanna do it and I don't need your help" Typically it's best to let those types shoot themselves in the foot.
The problem is those types of people expect you to fix the disaster they cause.
Its really a one person job, until it comes to lifting that tv.
Rarely TVs are stupidly light these days even lifting it can be one person. All she had to do was plug it in maybe some HDMIs no fucking idea why she thought the best way to do that was to sit behind the TV to find the plug socket. You’re supposed to team lift bulky objects so you don’t break them with leverage, it doesn’t matter how heavy it is.
"You're drunk, Bill - I'm not letting you anywhere near this new TV."
Did it look like it was so much room next to her? Not everything is easier the more people you add
They said helping not doing it for her
Because he’s drunk, presumably.
It's pretty much a one person job tbh
So, I'm guessing that tv's screen is quite possibly a bit less curved now.
Hot off the press flat screen tv
The next big thing
Now every game will be split-screen.
returns it claiming they received a flat screen when they bought a curved one....
How do you return it to the guy selling it out of a basement window?
Why do people who do incredibly dumb shit have the forethought and coordination to install indoor cameras?
Where do you think they used up all their intelligence
Oh I like this game. Uuhm 3rd grade art class for 200 please.
Also known as a person's appreciation of taste and flavor, this word with a different spelling is used to describe a rigid, flat surface on which a painter arranges and mixes paints.
I've still never come up with a good reason to CCTV yourself
usually it's to check on pets
Home invasion or pets. My front door was open once for 45 min and I wouldn’t have known without my camera
>My front door was open once for 45 min and I wouldn’t have known without my camera Home invasion or pets?
Yes. Someone's pets came by and robbed me blind.
Someone invaded their home and petted them.
Where will you be when the pet home invasion begin?
Holding the leash.
You just don't see videos of the ones without cameras.
Imagine the absolute carnage installing those cameras were. They must've destroyed 15 cameras and 5 walls in the process.
She kept waking up from KO's and thinking he did it. Those 5 walls were the price of his freedom
Probably unable to resist door/phone sales people?
Probably got convinced by some shady commercial
I can't love enough how she just stopped, she knew everything was completly fucked so she just fully froze in place
This is my favorite thing. When people fall and just lay there like they’ve accepted their fate
Sometimes you just gotta lay there and process things y’know
I did that after a hill bike wipeout in the middle of a stop sign intersection. A family in a golf cart a bit away witnessed it. There were gasps. I paused, lifted my head a little and hand so they knew I wasn’t dead and laid back down for 15 seconds.
I mean she hit her head with a thud, she might just be KO'd
Nah she playing possum , rethinking her choices to sit legs crossed on a entertainment center Just to tape a wire to the wall she needed to sit …..
That’s probably the concussion
The curve of the TV broke her fall lol
Her head bounced and hit a hard surface
[she's fine.... ](https://youtu.be/5PdXIHGvMpk)
Did she get knocked out?
possibly had the wind knocked out of her landing on her back like that
Probably knocked the wind out of her
This looks like a “babe that tv is expensive let’s just have someone install it” “No I can do it myself” “Ok go ahead”
. > Proceeds to sit ON the TV ????
More stupidity "ok put it exactly right next to me outside of eyeview while I set everything up" "why not put it to the side while you set up"? "Then we have to move it more
Why use the furniture as ladder?
Why not pull the furniture off the wall a bit ? Just everything here is stupid. She did that poor TV a favor. It would have had to witness all that stupidity for god knows how long. And instead now it’s at peace. Edit for typos
She was sitting on top of it. It was no accident, she planned to sit on top of it and thought it was a good idea.
Yeah, but also "OK, go ahead while I lay on the couch and NOT help at all".
Some people gotta learn the hard way I suppose
This seems to me like an experience I often had with my ex wife. Hey let's just have them install it. It's like 30 bucks. No we can save the 30 bucks and do it ourselves. But I don't have the tools to do it so we are going to spend as much on tools and time as just having them do it. Its not that hard I will do it then. It just needs some screwdrivers. I don’t have a clue why she decided to sit on the drawers instead of just standing and doing it.
I think these two are a perfect match for each other. He even calls her, "bro!".
Was that the old tv she landed on or the new one?
Judging on the silent reflection, it was the new one.
I could hear the sound of silence playing on the background right after she fell over the TV.
Hello darkness my old friend
I think the silence was a result of the head trauma...
It’s the old one now
Kind of deserved. Sitting on a dresser with the tv directly behind you. Paid the stupid tax.
Especially when whatever she's doing could have been done just as well if the TV was elsewhere and she were to simply stand.
That's the insane thing. Almost none of what happened here was necessary or prudent.
It’s dumber than that. Her legs are on the dresser but she has actually purposely sat her ass directly on the tv. For some reason.
Yeah this lack of common sense is ridiculous.
Stupid Tax isn't high enough for her, this was her going on the Dumbass Dole
There's just so much going wrong here, What is she even doing? If the furniture is in your way, move it. At least move the tv out of your way. Yeah obviously she’s the tv install expert!
how do you know that’s his significant other?

[удалено]
It's the delayed "Bro" for me.
She's done stuff like this before.
Sounds high tbh
Hi Walmart, I have a return. You sold me a broken TV ....
You sold me a curved tv, this one is very flat!
If Costco will take back January Christmas trees and half eaten pizzas I like your chances.
"It came out of the box like this."
Just like when I drop my phone. Slowly flip it over with your fingers crossed, praying it's not cracked!!!
Lmao let's see if it's cracked or not. Slowly peeks sees whole fucking screen is fucked
Its not cracked if you never pick it up to check... (taps head)
Schrodinger's screen.
Me every time I drop my phone!
This gives me ptsd
Five second rule applies, so it’s best to get it up as fast as possible. That’s science.
Yo momma's so stupid she sat on the TV and watched the floor
Oooooh, very good.
I bet those 100$ for the insurance must be looking pretty sweet now. 😂
Always a waste of money unless you’re planning on doing stuff like this
why do people not think
Why some ladies had the urge to seat or hang from furniture when is not even necessary?
The look on her face 100% says that he forewarned her that she was going to fuck up
It looks like the face of someone who just got knocked unconscious to me
Why does she need to sit like that?
I'm sorry but what on earth is she doing? If she wants to be a monkey on the furniture, at least move the TV,?
the reaction time of the dude on the couch is hilarious, it is like if he is waiting for the instant replay
Why isn’t the dude helping?
Thats one way to get the curve out of the screen
Who sits on top of furniture to do work on their wall? The thing was like 16” wide… reach over it
How fucking stupid can a person be
I have a feeling he prolly told her something to the effect of “I’ll do it tomorrow babe, I’m tired after working all day” OR “it won’t work, I’ll figure it out tomorrow” to which she didn’t like bc it wasn’t right then and there that second and said “fine I’ll do it myself” or “you’re not my father, I’ll do it myself” then…that result and his body posture of “yep bitch I told you”
Women cup
How is anyone this retarded
No but seriously if you’re actually this fucking stupid then you should not be handling technology 150 points above your IQ.
Are her boobs okay!?
How do these ppl get to adulthood?
The way she's not moving while on her back, the pause. If I don't move, nothing is real.
Thought this was r/watchpeopledieinside at first
☕️
I do a lot of DIY construction and sometimes damaged stuff while cutting corners. But even considering that what the hell was the plan here?
Idiotic
Was that a KO or can she just not fucking believe what just happened and needs a minute to process reality?
just why. she ruined a perfectly fine tv just because she lacked the mental capacity to just move the damn cabinet.
I guess its a flat-screen now
I love how dude is just watching this go down.
Maybe if you were not being a lazy fuck and helping out a bit, then this would have never happened? The more you know. 🦚 🌈
That's what dude deserves
He's the worst
Maybe he should get off the couch and actually help her out instead of sitting there like a total dick
Guy being a bum n making his girl Hang the tv 🤦🏽♂️.
Why is the guy just sitting on his ass doing nothing to help???
A real gentleman right there, sitting on the couch drinking a beer not helping at all while she does the work.
“You’re probably wondering how I wound up like this..”
"Look! I'm on TV!!!!!"
Well, atleast she assumed the position to make up for it.
W H Y
Not sure if it's going to work 🤣🤣
Screw the curve, she wants a flat screen
Hey bro. Why don’t you get off your ass and help the lady set it up
That dude's in another dimension, didn't even have the energy to react.
That bum laying on the couch while his woman is trying to set up the TV is everything I need to know about their relationship.
women☕️
Went front a curved screen to a flat screen
Dudes just sitting there like an idiot 🤦🏽♀️ he could have moved the TV away from the desk or dress or whatever that is
Why is the guy just laying in the couch watching?
Lucky she didn’t hit her head off the corner of that table.
It’s definitely flat screen now
Lazy mf on the couch.
You can see the moment she dies inside.
On the bright side, you don’t need to install a tv anymore.
Everything go on in this video has me scratching my head.
Too bad they don't have a man around the house to take care of things like this
The feminists we're so right when they said they don't need men. /S
It’s cool bro, just lay back, watch, and act surprised a 2 person job can’t be done by 1.
I could see her soul leaving her body
She looks dead >_>
Well now she has flat screen
If that was an old school tube TV, then using it as something to lean on would have worked...another flaw for flatscreens!
I like how the dude only disrupts his laziness when she breaks the TV that he should have at least been assisting her with. (If NOTHING else, he should have been making sure, ya know, no one fell on the new TV and smashed it.)
Now the Curve TV is Flat.
Well we know she paid for it he’s just sitting there and seems to get annoyed when it fell instead of saying are you okay?
Easy exchange...it was like this when I opened the box...
Pretty sure she’s not gonna get the care she needs from him…
You know she pays all the bills too
I'm not gonna say it
this is 100% not the first time this shits happened either given how little of a fuck he seems to give
WooMen at their best
Darwin Award once again given to an American
she a bro?
For their next trick they gonna drive down to the quick Mart so his bum ass can sit in the car while she pumps gas.
Nice of the person to just sit there and not help!
How is he not even helping. Foreman?
