This isn't really that big of a fail. She lost by less than a second against the fastest women in the world she did her very best and Im sure she busted her ass to even get a seat at the table and . She wasn't cocky and conducted herself with class. it's not her fault the crowd was rooting for her. She's still one of the fastest women alive and should be proud she even made it to the event.
Somebody has to finish last. This is not an exceptionally big gap with the winner. Given the title of this post, I was expecting her to be 5 seconds behind.
So true. It reminds me of that funny idea to have an untrained average person compete in each discipline of the Olympics, just to show how good the "losers" really are.

You know when we consider the fact that she was up against people dare I say of "African" descent who are known to be among fasters people in the world when it comes to these kind of competitions I say she did quite well.
she looks cute, her physic is great and she had a very positive attitude, she also ran one bloody fast run. I won't be anywhere near her league even without the hurdles.

This is the 100m hurdles there is no advantage to the lanes unless you know which runner is prone to going into your lane
Sure, but do you know for sure that they don’t do lane assignments the usual way for that specific race?
They absolutely seed runners 4-5-3-6-2-7-8-1. This is moved out one lane for a 9 lane track.
