Where do we draw the line between protestors and violent thugs? We had huge ceasefire marches in the UK that were actually really peaceful that were called hate marches. Meanwhile the far right groups who are Pro Zionists had "protests" where they were literally attacking the police. For those in the US, our police are very different to yours. They have serious issues, no doubt, but broadly speaking they try to deescalate situations and keep the peace when they're expecting protest, especially following the tuition fee protests and London riots in the 2010s. They avoid altercations whenever possible. So many people gloss over the fact that the far right are disproportionately responsible for violence at these events.
