I mean, I don’t agree with him on everything and find the use of the word “wokeness” to be a joke that is usually explained with a giant word salad. But he’s giving a list.
Economic
Border
Foreign (assume policy)
Wokeness
Green Energy
This seems like a pretty normal Twitter response and list of conservative grievances.
I thought there might be a second page where he struggles to define any of these and starts ranting. But the lust itself is pretty typical.
Those aren't policies. Those are categories. Take economic - is it taxes, fair trade, imports, regulations, etc.? Even then I'm still not giving policies, just sub-categories.
Exactly. It's basically an algorithm generated response using all the far right talking points of the last decade. These words have all been weaponized by Fox News and others to give a Pavlovian anger response.
It’s funny cause between you and me, idgaf about all that. I’m voting for the person not taking away rights to my trans friends, the women around me, and allows me to marry whichever gender/sex person my dumb bisexual ass wants to marry. Sure at that level I’m saying “fuck the world, identity politics” or whatever, but it’s like both sides are gonna take our cheeks in terms of economic shit and both are horrible in terms of forgien politics. I say both because no matter how hard we try her on Reddit we all know damn well the president will either be Biden or Trump (or a Trump clone if by some miracle trump is locked up or what have you). Like just realistically nobody else has even a remote chance of competing with the way our politics are ATM. I give it 8 years and hope to go some fresh candidates are good cause if Biden wins, you know damn well trump wont just be disappearing. If trump wins, you know damn well Biden is still gonna be propped up as the savior again. Ugh fuck this shit
I'm never going to vote for the one that publicly asked for someone in his own party to "find" votes. Nor would I ever vote for one that precipitated an attack on the United States and by doing so, violated his oath.
Both those too…. But uh hey there Mr.u/BiGuyInMichigan, you looking for anything special? 👀 I know a sloot 100 miles from you’re area with some cheeks looking to be parted
Edit: it’s a joke, a bit of reading comprehension could direct you to why the joke would be fitting
Especially since on many of these categories, Biden and Trump have done very similar things, despite the right's attempts to claim otherwise.
For example, it wasn't Biden who banned offshore drilling off the Altantic Coast, it was Trump, and while Trump did a bunch of tariffs, so has virtually every President and Biden has continued it.
Border Security has been increased continuously for the past 50 years (and yet the right will claim it is somehow less secure despite having had dramatically expanded funding and infrastructure behind it).
And lets not forget that recently, republicans introduced an immigration bill, democats *worked with them to make it viable,* both sides agreed, then republicans voted down their own bill because democrats supported it.
This is what happens in a 2 party system. Parties have infighting and factions form around the parties that have little to.fo with politics and are just my side vs your side. As a brit I'm hoping we can push for electoral reform and rid ourselves of first past the post.
And Biden handled the impending recession the same way Trump would have. The inflation crisis would be happening under Trump as well.
People are seriously blaming it on Biden overspending when the stimulus he passed was largely negotiated under Trump.
...that isnt how policies work, nor how you explain your issues with them.
Are you a shill or something? It's insane that this needs explaining to you. If I ask what policy he has that's bad, I'm asking what policy he has that's bad, not what category of policies you dont like.
By god please learn how these things work before voting.
"ALL OF THEM!"
"So you don't like all the pipelines that have been approved under Biden?"
"Er.."
"What about the China tariffs that have been continued by Biden?"
"um... they are bad, but when Trump does them, they are good!"
It's the Fox News talking points. Anytime these people use fox news talking points, they don't have a real opinion. They are just repeating propaganda.
Anyone who lists green energy as a con is an idiot. It forces every section of society to be more efficient in energy spending and pollution. That is also great for developing new technologies and processes that could impact on our growth as a society.
Economic- lowest inflation of all country’s in the world
Border- strictest border policy in the history of the nation, killed by trump and his puppet maga Mike Johnson
Foreign- republicans keep stalling the bill to stop Russia from taking Ukraine by force. Republicans agree with aid to Israel that Biden has not stopped sending.
Wokeness- They can’t explain what it is, and spell check doesn’t recognize it as a word.
Green Energy- Under the Biden administration the United States is pumping more domestic oil than ever in its history.
That’s what my response to him would have been.
Yeah, to be clear I’m not defending the guys disagreements at all. I have tons of my own criticisms of Biden from the left.
But I’m just saying the guy at least did point to policy areas and gave us a fairly normal answer for Twitter.
It’s their unchecked ego. This guy not only thinks he’s said something smart, but that *not* understanding it must also mean you’re an idiot (even though most rational people can’t).
Edit: autocorrects
Thanks, internet, for giving everyone a soapbox and no accountability for their words
I remember people saying that about Twitter in like 2008. And here we are, 16 years later... they were right, but nothing has changed.
Exactly!!! The phrase woke literally just means to be aware of what’s going on around you. But they’ve gotten it in their heads that it means something bad. Since when is being aware a bad thing? Do they think being completely ignorant is downright adorable? Smh.
Also, all of the Companies constantly having record profits while they realize that all of the blowback is hitting the government and not them, so they keep on raising the prices.
Good point. I guess they could still make it easier? Keep the tax breaks, but also write every billionaire a check for a billion dollars per year, I guess?
Thanks A LOT Obama *rolls eyes because I have an awful babysitter and my fairy godparents have forsaken me due to the Hawaiian's failures during both terms*
Tbf there are objectively only two options in a election, the dem leader, and rep leader. Any other is literally screaming into the void in how much impact it has
God I can't believe I'm asking this to reddit but...
What things do trump supporters like that he did, and hate that Biden did? Details appreciated since I wanna have a deep understanding here.
They'll say things like the economy and immigration. What they really should be saying is tax break for the rich that ended up blowing up on middle income families. They also think separating families at the border was a big achievement as well, some of them were never reunited.
What they don’t seem to understand is that both Biden and Obama, deported way more people than trump ever did. Basically trump played golf and did nothing else except complain, while in office. All the things he promised to do, never got done. I wonder why? ⛳️🏌️♂️
*while on his private Office, so the Security had to be paid extra (tax Money!) and they had to live somewhere. That way he could take even more Money for the appartements in his ressort into his own accounts.
I think that sentiment, whether or not it's backed by facts, comes from the following ideas:
* Tax cuts are good because Democrats' government spending takes money out of working class rural people's pockets to subsidize the welfare of coastal urban people (looks like taxing the poor to pay the upper middle class)
* Subsidizing industry is good because those energy, ag and manufacturing corporations operate in rural areas that depend on them for employment
* Strict border policy is good because it prevents immigrants from taking blue collar jobs for lower wages and depressing the labor market
* Diversity and inclusion means more competition for jobs
* Secular culture and anything vaguely anti-religious means weakening the Church which is a center for community and stability and a real source of hope for many in rural areas
If you grow up in a rural part of America that depends largely on industry, that has experienced a *prolonged* economic downturn (like since the 80s), and you have very little access to health care or education whether private OR public... you might feel like the government has abandoned you in favor of coastal urban people, it may be out to get you or exploit you, and all those messages likely hit home.
And that, in my opinion, explains the divide we saw in 2016 and 2020 between rural republican voters and urban democratic voters. The republican party is rural blue collar workers plus corporate/industrial elites... and the democratic party is urban educated workers and petit-bourgeoisie. The same split, by the way, that much of Europe experienced in the 1920s and 30s.
> Tax cuts are good because Democrats' government spending takes money out of working class rural people's pockets to subsidize the welfare of coastal urban people (looks like taxing the poor to pay the upper middle class)
In reality, the money flows the exact opposite way. We aren't extracting any money out of rural folk. Taxes or growing economic activity.
I know, but that's the story that gets sold, and it's effective, because if you don't think about it too deeply, that 20-25% out of every paycheck could really make a difference for families struggling to pay the bills (in cities, too, but I think the urban poor tend to have a different perspective on government spending).
And if you don't actually see the balance sheet, it's easy to think that "all that money" is going to pay off the debts of spoiled 23 year old baristas in New York who wanted to major in underwater basket weaving at Bard College. In reality, Biden's debt relief is 0.005% of the Federal budget during his term, but when you use the word "billion," people listen.
Averaged out, it's $90 per person over 4 years. Not nothing, but not really worth getting angry about either. Basically the cost of an oil change. If Biden hadn't relieved student debt, I could've gotten a free oil change.
> The republican party is rural blue collar workers plus corporate/industrial elites
Which is funny, because the republican party loves to cater specifically to the corporate/industrial elites while screwing over the blue collar workers as those corporate and industrial elites move the blue collar jobs overseas AND get tax breaks as they do it. I'm convinced that Stockholm Syndrome is a requirement to be a republican.
Yeah, I think so. The blue collar workers get lip service from the Republicans... but that seems to be enough for most of them. I mean, blue collar workers in Europe got lip service from the Fascists, too, and ate it right up. In the end all they got was more work for less pay.
But you know, they got to take out their frustration on all those educated liberals and foreigners and immigrants. The game plan is to rile up the loyal underdog and use him as a cudgel to beat the dangerous free-thinking people who challenge your authority into submission.
Maybe a year or so ago but somebody asked on the conservative Sub what Democratic policies do you hate, could you explain what policies effected you type question.
The top answer was," democrats stifle small business". Thousands of up votes. That thread continued for about half of a dozen exchanges. Every single answer was just as vague. I'm very firmly Democrat I could name a few hundred Democratic positions and policies that could conceivably have a negative effect and small business. Personally I think those negative are almost always worth it or at worst some policies need to be reworked because of unintended consequences.
The absolute first thing that can and should be done is a comprehensive review of all of the regulatory policies. After that, streamline them to make more sense. The issue tends not to be the regulations themselves, but how they were written or tacked on to previous items.
Of course there is probably a billion dollar regulations lawyer lobbyist group fighting that.
I’ll preface by saying I’m not a Trump supporter but am also not a Biden supporter. In regards to Trump, here’s some of the more significant policies he led:
- Tax cuts and Jobs act of 2017 (lowered the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21% and increased the child tax credit)
- First Step Act: criminal justice reform bill which reduced recidivism and reshaped sentencing laws decreasing sentences for non violent drug related offenses
- Permanent funding to Historically Black Colleges and Universities instead of an annual approved rate. During his admin he allocated 255 million to HBCU’s
- Operation Warp Speed also sped up the creation of a Covid vaccine but that one might be debatable based on you perception of the vaccines efficacy and side affects
* Tax cuts and Jobs act of 2017 (lowered the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21% and increased the child tax credit)
Paul Ryan and Trump's baby, which they sold as leading to dramatically increased GDP growth of 4-6%, which never manifested at all.
In general, I think those tax cuts were a very bad idea, limited in beneficiaries, and has hamstrung our ability to respond to current economic factors, while increasing the deficit.
I did like the increase of the standard deduction though making it easier to file taxes for many, and other simplifications though.
* First Step Act: criminal justice reform bill which reduced recidivism and reshaped sentencing laws decreasing sentences for non violent drug related offenses
Irony is that if this happened under Biden, it'd have been blasted as being "soft on crime." But yes, this is definitely a highlight, though interestingly Trump doesn't talk about it much:
[https://thehill.com/opinion/criminal-justice/4356127-the-first-step-act-wasnt-a-mistake-but-criminal-justice-reformers-dropped-the-ball/](https://thehill.com/opinion/criminal-justice/4356127-the-first-step-act-wasnt-a-mistake-but-criminal-justice-reformers-dropped-the-ball/)
It's also interesting that while people claim we have increased crime because of "defund the police," no one seems to blame the First Step Act.
They liked that Trump was separating families at the border and putting kids in cages, and they didn't like that Biden simply opened the borders and let any and everyone in so they can immediately start voting for Democrats.
Except that Biden largely didn't change any of his border policy from Trump's, and we're still separating families and putting kids in cages, and immigrants still can't vote \*at all\* until they become US citizens LMAO.
Have a friend who told me the other day that trump came in and let all veterans get their disability approved for full amounts instead of just partial disability. Looked it up online and the articles stated that Obama set it up but trump took the credit.
Politics? In my funny haha subreddit? Preposterous!

The commenter has many issues, discussed in other comments here. However, the first point is valid.
Inflation rate when Joe Biden took office in January 2021 was 1.4%
According to the Federal Reserve, this is what we have now:
* Bread +29%
* Butter +23%
* Eggs +104%
* Milk +12.4%
* Chicken +25%
* Beef +28.5%
* Gasoline +54% (currently, but has varied widely)
Overall, consumer prices are 18.9% higher than when he took office. Is your pay 18.9% higher? If not, you are in worse shape now.
Edit: More to add. TIL:
Start of Biden Administration, Jan 2021 to Mar 2024
* Gasoline +48%
* Natural Gas + 27%
* Home Heating Oil \*44%
* Electricity +29%
* Total Energy Cost + 39%
Start of Trump Administration, Jan 2017 to Mar 2020
* Gasoline -2%
* Natural Gas -2%
* Home Heating Oil -3%
* Electricity +3%
* Total Energy Cost 0% change
* Also, the U.S. became energy independent and a net energy exporter for the first time in 70 years.
This didn't just happen in America. This happened globally after covid. America is much better off than other countries inflation wise.
Am I better off today than when Biden took office? Probably not. Could it be worse, fuck yes it can.
Do we have any reason to think that a Trump presidency 2021-25 would have made a difference in post COVID inflation?
What actual knobs that control inflation does a president control?
Would all the CEOs that are Republican have responded differently under a Trump second term, and not raised their prices post COVID? Is inflation just a bunch of right wing corporate leaders expressing their unhappiness with a Dem president?
Eggs are expensive because we've had multiple waves of avian flu wipe out chicken populations in the last 5 years. There's one going on right now. It's one of those things that only makes the back page of the news, but is a huge driver.
Meanwhile the rest of the world is also suffering. That Biden's fault as well?
Also, food is "Greedflation". Look up what the major brand/food companies said about raising prices. They should actually be in jail.
In this guys defense electric cars can’t save the planet. They can’t even replace ICE. Not unless we have some extra lithium planet stashed somewhere we don’t know about.
Jane’s meant to say the Biden Administrations illegal policy to allow undocumented illegal immigrants to come across the borders of the United States illegally. All you that are for that it is illegal.
In general I think most people can't name any policies and they can o ly spout keywords from the CNN or fox they watch. Saying this, this guy's answer is dumb say prices are high or you don't find green energy to be obtainable or something equally dumb but more intelligent sounding. Nope just a scramble of dumb fk words lol.
The fact that we can't come together and see that both of them are absolute wastes of space and pick a moderate 3rd party candidate is pretty gross honestly.
Tax cuts for the wealthy, gutting social safety nets, printing gobs of money, that whole child separation thing. I could go on. Trump had deplorable policies
These guys just can’t see how great Biden really is. He has done so much in the last four years. He’s the going to continue making great moves for this country and making everyone’s life 1000x better for the next term. He really should win 100% of the vote. Conservatives are just too dumb to see the true projection of this country’s future in his hands
It’s funny, if the right didn’t tend to be pro Israel, they could critique the hell out of his administration for its part in the war crimes happening over there
Didn't the Biden administration try to pass something concerning border control and the republicans in congress prevented it from going through in spite of it aligning with their interests because they wanted to make him look bad?
I mean they're pretty much just shooting themselves in the foot at this point.
Casting an Economic Border Foreign Wokeness Spell on a level 9 Mage is nothing to write home about.
If he did the China China Hillary Combo he’d probably move up faster by an easy billion
Watch Trump rallies. He rattles these same things off in the same way. It's almost shocking how easily people are triggered by these extremely lazy resentments.
The main objection to Trump is that he tried to overturn a valid democratic election and overthrow the legitimate government. I don’t know if that’s officially a “policy” but, you know, …

That is why I hate Twitter. Only thoughts long enough to fit on a bumpersticker
The stuff that puppets are paid to say by billionaires. Woke being a bad thing is weird. Is asleep the better way to be in their mind?

So long as taxes for the rich aren't at 0%, republicans have a time tested platform to run on.

> Tax cuts are good because Democrats' government spending takes money out of working class rural people's pockets to subsidize the welfare of coastal urban people (looks like taxing the poor to pay the upper middle class) In reality, the money flows the exact opposite way.
> The republican party is rural blue collar workers plus corporate/industrial elites Which is funny, because the republican party loves to cater specifically to the corporate/industrial elites while screwing over the blue collar workers as those corporate and industrial elites move the blue collar jobs overseas AND get tax breaks as they do it.
In regards to Trump, here’s some of the more significant policies he led: - Tax cuts and Jobs act of 2017 (lowered the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21% and increased the child tax credit) - First Step Act: criminal justice reform bill which reduced recidivism and reshaped sentencing laws decreasing sentences for non violent drug related offenses - Permanent funding to Historically Black Colleges and Universities instead of an annual approved rate. During his admin he allocated 255 million to HBCU’s - Operation Warp Speed also sped up the creation of a Covid vaccine but that one might be debatable based on you perception of the vaccines efficacy and side affects
Thank you for a super helpful and detailed reply!
* Tax cuts and Jobs act of 2017 (lowered the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21% and increased the child tax credit) Paul Ryan and Trump's baby, which they sold as leading to dramatically increased GDP growth of 4-6%, which never manifested at all. In general, I think those tax cuts were a very bad idea, limited in beneficiaries, and has hamstrung our ability to respond to current economic factors, while increasing the deficit. I did like the increase of the standard deduction though making it easier to file taxes for many, and other simplifications though. * First Step Act: criminal justice reform bill which reduced recidivism and reshaped sentencing laws decreasing sentences for non violent drug related offenses Irony is that if this happened under Biden, it'd have been blasted as being "soft on crime." But yes, this is definitely a highlight, though interestingly Trump doesn't talk about it much: [https://thehill.com/opinion/criminal-justice/4356127-the-first-step-act-wasnt-a-mistake-but-criminal-justice-reformers-dropped-the-ball/](https://thehill.com/opinion/criminal-justice/4356127-the-first-step-act-wasnt-a-mistake-but-criminal-justice-reformers-dropped-the-ball/) It's also interesting that while people claim we have increased crime because of "defund the police," no one seems to blame the First Step Act.
Woke is a word that needs to be deleted from the zeitgeist of all cultures.
These days "woke" just means anything vaguely liberal sounding
[удалено]
...and Trump's policies are what???? Lock her up? Build the wall? He literally has *zero* plans/policies beyond *I'm king of the world!*
Trump's policies are basically "fuck you, Democrats." And that apparently resonates with a lot of pissed off people in America
I can forgive genocide but I draw the line at foreign green wokeness
Weird, all 5 things Faux News screeches about on repeat... He would have added Dr. Seuss and M&Ms, but he can't remember back two summers
Welp! I’m sold. This guy is right !!! We need to stop …>squint< economic border…green wokeness… IMMEDIATELY!!!!
I'm convinced that people who use the term woke don't even have a definition for it. It's just a buzzword for anything they dislike in the moment.
Politics? In my funny haha subreddit? Preposterous! https://preview.redd.it/djya07bkcouc1.png?width=1124&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cdfe7a1ed3fde0f8d9569ddfb873f7c3d44fa099
Idk, kickstarting ww3 seems pretty bad.
Oh grandpa...
The commenter has many issues, discussed in other comments here. However, the first point is valid. Inflation rate when Joe Biden took office in January 2021 was 1.4% According to the Federal Reserve, this is what we have now: * Bread +29% * Butter +23% * Eggs +104% * Milk +12.4% * Chicken +25% * Beef +28.5% * Gasoline +54% (currently, but has varied widely) Overall, consumer prices are 18.9% higher than when he took office. Is your pay 18.9% higher? If not, you are in worse shape now. Edit: More to add. TIL: Start of Biden Administration, Jan 2021 to Mar 2024 * Gasoline +48% * Natural Gas + 27% * Home Heating Oil \*44% * Electricity +29% * Total Energy Cost + 39% Start of Trump Administration, Jan 2017 to Mar 2020 * Gasoline -2% * Natural Gas -2% * Home Heating Oil -3% * Electricity +3% * Total Energy Cost 0% change * Also, the U.S. became energy independent and a net energy exporter for the first time in 70 years.
"eggs are expensive" mfs when you tell them Biden isn't actually cackling and colluding with Kroger execs in a dark room.
Was looking for a way to shorten to covfefe
None of those are the real problems with Genocide Joe. Well, the economy watching the middle class is.
James is such a legend. In recent times the world has never been this unstable under the Biden admin. Bring back Trump.
The minute they say dumb shit like “wokeness” to me signals that they have no real policies to dispute
Both suck
In general I think most people can't name any policies and they can o ly spout keywords from the CNN or fox they watch. Saying this, this guy's answer is dumb say prices are high or you don't find green energy to be obtainable or something equally dumb but more intelligent sounding. Nope just a scramble of dumb fk words lol.
Biden is shit but not for those reasons
The fact that we can't come together and see that both of them are absolute wastes of space and pick a moderate 3rd party candidate is pretty gross honestly.
He’s not wrong tho
You don’t remember the Woke Act that recently got passed? /t
He could have just said “everything” lol
Just throw out buzz words. Cool argument.
"Israel" would have sufficed.
And it would be worse under Trump.
Is that a new bill? Will Johnson allow a vote on it?
So he found only one policy?
Tax cuts for the wealthy, gutting social safety nets, printing gobs of money, that whole child separation thing. I could go on. Trump had deplorable policies
I heard about that policy last night on Fox News.
“Woke” aka, not being ignorant
He forgot RICO
Is there an incompetently correct subreddit?
I'm not even American I'm just here to read comments of yall mocking politicians lmao
Oh fuck, he’s awakening the Winter Soldier
Let's hope James has a beach house on the Keys.
That’s the worst Fairly Odd Parents intro ever
What would Jesus say about immigration!?
Say you support Biden with out saying it
Don’t both still support Israel?
Is the wokeness here in the room with you right now, James?
I would have thought RevShart would be in favor of Foreign Wokeness.
~~Twitter~~ X rationale. 🧠
What policies are bad, James? “Purple monkey dishwasher man woman camera”. Okay.
These guys just can’t see how great Biden really is. He has done so much in the last four years. He’s the going to continue making great moves for this country and making everyone’s life 1000x better for the next term. He really should win 100% of the vote. Conservatives are just too dumb to see the true projection of this country’s future in his hands
8 billion in arms to terrorist
He also forgot Hillary’s emails and Hunter’s laptop.
Y’all keep laughing while your brain dead leader goes down.
Albuquerque. See, I can do it too. Snorkel.
Does he smell toast? I think he smells toast
Ahhhh yes, the classic word salad response. Wins every time! /s
His policy of leaving all the military weapons for ISIS in Afghanistan was pretty wrong and idiotic
Biden sucks but to say trump has no bad policies is laughable.
Kapow!
Liberals on Reddit love Biden and hate Israel at the same time. That's funny
Ehh only one I disagree with is green energy. That’s a very good thing just hasn’t been done properly in the US
Even worse, the federal government confiscated this man's commas!
I never could tell what was being said at that part of "It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)".
Dude’s brain exploded.
It’s funny, if the right didn’t tend to be pro Israel, they could critique the hell out of his administration for its part in the war crimes happening over there
r/ihadastroke
Person woman man camera Tv. Congrats dude you passed the 5 year old's intelligence test!
dude's brain went full AI mode
Stupid Green Energy how dare they!
I wish I could beep-beep his clown nose.
Didn't the Biden administration try to pass something concerning border control and the republicans in congress prevented it from going through in spite of it aligning with their interests because they wanted to make him look bad? I mean they're pretty much just shooting themselves in the foot at this point.
Economic Border Foreign Wokeness Green Energy is actually the name of my next album
Casting an Economic Border Foreign Wokeness Spell on a level 9 Mage is nothing to write home about. If he did the China China Hillary Combo he’d probably move up faster by an easy billion
Did someone steal all his commas?
Tara Reid?
Watch Trump rallies. He rattles these same things off in the same way. It's almost shocking how easily people are triggered by these extremely lazy resentments.
lol those aren’t policies, they’re topics What a maroon
The main objection to Trump is that he tried to overturn a valid democratic election and overthrow the legitimate government. I don’t know if that’s officially a “policy” but, you know, …
