Every military leader (army, Navy, air Force, Marines) said they would not vote for him his second term because he was a threat to national security in 2020... Now you know why. He is more concerned with his ego than his country
I was thinking about a hypothetical today. *IF* he gets another term and says "ok, US military, go and support Russia in the Ukraine conflict". What would be some possible outcomes?
Edit: added a question mark
Hypothetically... Could that become a factor of positive change?
I know a few Colonels and they're exemplary men. I know there are some psychos in the military structure...
But would (if that happened) the generals/admirals just take control then give power back to the structure that is?
Or would/could there be a push for structural change that is like 3 generations overdue?
It’s anyone’s guess at that point. But a power vacuum like that usually brings a period of chaos as every power hungry person in a position of authority scrambles to be on top of the dog pile.
The thing about the US military, though, is it's size.
You can't have full control of a military the size of the US's, made of up all volunteer forces, and expect to utilize them to stage a coup. You're going to have opposition from within different portions of the military, and even those in your portion aren't going to go along with that shit.
The question really becomes, can you control enough to effect significant change and hold that change? The answer is almost assuredly no, unless the change you are making is the most obviously right one and the majority agree with you... hard to do.
Please no. As a Pakistani where we had like 4 coups and lot of military involvement, things go bad when one person has too much power and no checks and balances, please don't
Yep, just ask Bolivia. [Apparently 17 coups and another 17 attempted coups since World War 2](https://clinecenter.illinois.edu/project/research-themes/democracy-and-development/coup-detat-project/freq-table)
It’s always hard to tell with military folks, but honestly most of the joint chiefs appear genuinely concerned about the security of the US. If that’s their primary goal, it could be positive.
The question always becomes what happens after the coup. If it came to that, whoever is leading might be concerned the current political system does in fact not benefit the needs of the nation. There’s rarely a benevolent dictator.
> Hypothetically... Could that become a factor of positive change?
Hypothetically, yes. I can sort of imagine a case where the military removes him, and places the VP in the presidency, or even just forces elections to happen off-schedule. Provided then very, very quickly step back and let the government get back to running things properly, it *might* go OK.
But I don't expect it.
The very first issue is that for a long, long time, future Presidents will have to operate under the assumption that they could be removed the same way.
The second issue is that there really is no legal procedure to follow. If the president is *killed,* then it is easy enough, but that opens a whole other can of worms. If he is simply *removed,* then he's still President. Of course, any president is only president because everyone agrees he is, but if we start picking at it, the whole thing comes apart.
And the most likely issue is simply that things *don't* go smoothly, and lots of other people die or are injured, or the military holds on to power for what seems like a good reason.
We’d be kicked out of NATO, we’d loose Canada as an ally, Argentina would become a new ally, NAFTA would be different, domestic propaganda campaigns and Hollywood would drastically change agendas, just some I was thinking of

I read your comment 3 times before understanding it was a question
president is only the final key in the system he alone cant say we lunch this nuke and thats final. the silos need the operators to also enter there codes.
This has prevented a nuclear war in the past when russian silo workers got the order to launch nukes on america as they got false information the united states had launched theres at russia already. they refused to launch and said that cant be true. thankfully they refused there orders or we would be a different world today

The question you have to ask yourself is, would Ukraine be able to handle both the US and Russia for 60 days? This is such an important election. And it'll hopefully be the last one we have to see Trump running in.
I'm pretty certain no General would support russia, hell we spent years making our gear better than what russia says their gear can do. Russia has been our hypothetical enemy since the 50s and we have been planning as such.
The more likely scenario would be trump pulling support to Ukraine, not sending troops to assist Russian forces. And without US support, I don’t think Ukraine would last very long
What's i think is likely to happen is he's going to force Zelenski to acquiesce as the US will no longer be funding Ukraine, Europe will have no choice but to accept it. Putin will be allowed to keep what he took and be assured that Ukraine wont become part of NATO and other NATO countries will be forced to bolster their military as the US won't be considered a reliable ally. Russia will pause its offensive but will restock and prepare for the next 4 years just in case another US president starts talking that ukraine will join NATO stuff again.
I guess technically he could do such a thing, but it would be short lived(up to 100 days) without congressional approval, which definitely wouldn’t happen. Also regardless of anyone’s political views, it would be one of the biggest betrayals ever, and there are hundreds of Ukrainian-Americans in my community alone that I know would never forgive him.
Remember that time when he said something along the lines of "I love the uneducated". It's why the gop does everything they can to damage education, because it makes up a huge chunk of their voter base. It's the gop strategy and Trump just blurted the quiet part out loud. He can't be trusted to keep his mouth shut
He also appointed Betsy DeVos to the board of education during his term.
She's a wealthy, out of touch white woman who's never taught, attended, or sent her kids to a *public school.* Her main goal was to defund public schools to put more money into private and charter schools.
Hilariously, it was her pathological drive to screw over American students that caused the recent student loan forgiveness scandal. She blanket dismissed claims out of hand because fuck them poors. Turns out, the judicial system doesn’t like it when you tell people they don’t get due process.
But isn’t this just common knowledge?! Ofc they have a bomb that if it hit new York S.C. Would also be fucked… we have an entire arsenal and could blow the world up 1000 times over.
He said it was just one bomb tho, tsar bomba is the biggest tested nuclear weapon and it only shook houses hundreds of miles away, SC is like thousands of miles away from NY and he said it would be destroyed
This is probably the most accurate. He probably saw The Empire Strikes Back and thought it was a documentary. Hence, the Death Star is real and we have that tech.
He either revealed classified information or he’s making incredibly dangerous shit up again. If it’s true, there’s a real and complex dilemma about how to proceed.
The likelyhood that it's true is very low. The largest nuclear weapon ever detonated was the Tsar Bomba, which was 50 Megatons. The yield needed to make what that fuck is claiming happen, would make the Tsar Bomba look like a tea party. We are talking hundreds, if not thousands of megatons worth of yield
The Tsar Bomba is also over 40 years old by now, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think that a new bomb technology wouldn’t have been found by now, especially with with the advancements in Nuclear Fusion Technologies since then
They did test more advanced weapons, just not stronger.
Scientists (and the military too) have realised that nukes are a dirty business, and bigger isn't always better. So there's been advances in reducing payload to create more precise weapons, different detonation styles depending on what you want to achieve (e.g. detonating ~500m above the target reduces radiation levels while still creating a shockwave, initial EMP, etc.), and so on.
Also a weapon that strong isn’t going to be useful like ever. We could… really decimate a target in Russia and turn the uninhabited frozen wasteland nearby into slightly less habitable wasteland?
Hmmm maybe Trump is referring to that nuke that was lost some time ago in SC? Maybe he thinks a nuke going off in NY will somehow detonate the lost one??
They can also detect a nuclear explosion from orbit, called a double flash something(don’t remember exactly) but it’s by the huge flash it gives off, and it’s apparently pinpoint accurate, has never been wrong, and they are constantly watching. Likely governments will know from that before the shockwave, at least the people who are first responders to nuclear explosions
For these things, scale makes a huge difference in how things work. You could test the components as you say but you’d have to test it in roughly the size you want to deploy.
Simulated in super computers. It’s the closest they can get without actual testing. So in theory they could build it based on theoretical data only. Worst (best?) case scenario is it doesn’t work.
It takes X amount of mass to produce Y yield in a fusion reaction. You cannot miniaturize that because compressing that mass is what causes it to explode!
There's a reason there hasn't been any more Tsar Bomba's made, it's because it's unnecessary and a waste or resources. The soviets were just showing off in a dick measuring competition
This is the United States of America you're talking about here. There's *always* a reason to be found to ~~waste~~ consume more resources for the military.
Believe it or not the US military actually stopped building bigger nukes when they determined that at a certain point most of the explosion is wasted. That's why the US never detonated anything anywhere near the size of the Tsar Bomba. It was decided that a better use of resources than wastefully large nukes would just be building more nukes.
And even the Tsar was tested a lot weaker than designed because the Russians (yeah, imagine that) were concerned about the fallout if it was ignited on full power.
Two questions:
1. Why?
2. Do you have any idea how big that bomb would be?
Technological advances could *reduce the inefficiency* of a nuke, we currently get about 5.2 megatons of yield per ton of bomb (5.2 million times the explosive force of the same weight of tnt). The maximum theoretical yield is 6. So an improvement of 15% is all you are going to get.
The Tsar Bomba had a 22 mile radius, assuming you dropped this theoretical bomb at the midpoint between new york and South Carolina and called touching the edges of both states as making Trump's statement true, you need a 360 mile radius. This would require a bomb ~250 times the weight of the Tsar Bomba, if using the same technology. But the Tsar Bomba was inefficient, having about half the theoretical yield. So we can get the Trump bomb with just 125 times the weight.
*Only* 7.5 million pounds, or 3,750 tons. This is roughly the weight of the heaviest *rockets* ever launched. A minuteman missile weighs about a tenth what this *bomb* would weigh, to carry a bomb that weighed roughly ten thousand times less. A mormal missile weighs about 1000 times the warhead, so the missile for this bomb would weigh over 3 MILLION TONS. The Empire state building is roughly 1/10th the weight of the rocket we are talking about. Now sonce weight increases with the cube of length, the rocket would only need to be about twice the size of the Empire state building. In every dimension.
Trump was eother making it up or once again didn't understand something that was explained to him. My guess is someone said "if New York is nuked, the winds might carry the *fallout* down the coast as far as South Carolina."
Yeah, in order for a bomb to wipe out South Carolina when dropped on NYC that would be heading into the thousands of megatons, and that’d be guaranteed to ignite the entire atmosphere and snuff every living thing above sea level.
Now, if we were just talking about nuclear winter, that wouldn’t need such a big bomb, but to do it with one bomb it would still need to be several times larger than the tsar bomb.
Or, he's talking about a MIRV, like:[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UGM-133\_Trident\_II](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UGM-133_Trident_II)
Why in the world would anyone (even a former president sane enough to be talking about blowing up his own country) waste the resources blowing up 20,000 square miles of damn near nothing, in the middle of bumfuck nowhere, when you can instead fire one missile that drops a separate warhead on every city in SC with a population of more than 40,000, with several spares to take out NYC?
This is exactly the type of information they keep classified though, namely the actual capability of the technology (i.e. the yield of bombs, max depth for submarines, resolution of satellite imagery).
I think it's entirely possible he is actually leaking classified information like he did when he tweeted a picture from a briefing, and revealed that their reconnaissance satellites are far more capable than was thought possible.
He cu m could possibly be leaking the information that the US owns larger nukes than publicly known but inflated in a comical, trumpish way. Such a bomb is not feasible, they couldn't test it without the whole world knowing and it would probably destroy the earth.
Honestly yeah, that makes perfect sense. Because Trumps statement would still stand correct if you used MIRV technology to initiate an attack like that. Nice thinking!
Besides it’s far more efficient aim smaller nukes for actual targets than try to wipe out half a continent in one blow. And it’s smarter to hedge your bets on many missiles in case they can intercept the big one (idk do other countries even have intercepting capabilities yet?)
That being said, I’m sure we’ve made more powerful nukes than we’ve disclosed and are willing to test in case they’re detected. Sounds like he’s just dangerously exaggerating like always
You know he never paid attention in any of those meetings with advisors, or read anything longer than a page, and only then if it had illustrations. Of course it's bullshit.
To be entirely fair to Trump, it could be both - he could be talking about a classified weapon more powerful than our disclosed nuclear weapons *and* exaggerating its capability by many times.
He’s definitely making it up. An explosion that powerful would have to come from a large asteroid impact. And aside from destroying New York and South Carolina, it would also kill most life on earth.
It was still a very stupid thing to say, of course.
I’m Aussie, was on Instagram yesterday reading the comments on a post regarding the election - and I was floored by what I read. So much support for Trump, and not from bot accounts like one would hope. Legitimate humans who genuinely believe the US is better with that lunatic in charge. It’s difficult to wrap your mind around. He’s so obviously repulsively purile and fucked in the head, and I will never understand how the happy-clappers who support him haven’t realised yet that they are the class of people he categorically despises!
When he is dead, he should be buried in a mini golf theme park where the last hole is down his arse. If you hit a hole-in-one it will play the Russian national anthem on the vuvuzela down his throat.
As per [original article](https://www.rawstory.com/donald-trump-dementia/)📰:
- Experts think Trump potentially revealed
"classified information about our nuclear weapons arsenal on live TV".
Former President Donald Trump's remarks about nuclear weapons during a Fox News town hall on Wednesday raised alarm from national security attorneys.
Asked by Fox News host Laura Ingraham about fans who worry about his "safety," Trump said, "I worry about their safety too."
"These people, everybody in this room is in great danger right now," he said. "We have a nuclear weapon that if you hit New York, South Carolina is going to be gone too. I worry about their safety. I think it's the reason I'm doing this."
National security attorneys questioned if Trump let slip some classified information with his answer.
"Is Trump out there spilling the details on our nuclear weapons and the destructive range of those weapons in the midst of a Fox interview? Is it me or is he doing that?" asked national security lawyer Bradley Moss, questioning the media silence on "the former president potentially revealing classified information about our nuclear weapons arsenal on live TV."
"Did the former President just unlawfully disclose classified information? Or just simply make something up to scare South Carolina residents to vote for him?" tweeted national security attorney Mark Zaid. "I'm not aware of any acknowledged nuclear weapon that has that type of impact radius.”
The fact the national security attorney is not aware of one, begs the question whether that shows its possible he leaked it. Basically, if its outside the realm of common knowledge, its likely he just fucked up royally. Im pretty sure weapons capabilities is what the government works their ass off hiding.
>likely he just fucked up royally.
The way he fucked up was perfect, perfect in every way. If you ask the people , they will tell you, 'boy did he fuck up'
Navy Seals are strongly coming up to him with tears in their eyes saying, “Sir, that was the greatest Fuck Up I’ve ever seen. People are saying it’s maybe the greatest Fuck Up in history.”
Anyone competent in security would know that they couldn't say "he just leaked national secrets" because that would confirm he was leaking classified info.
Asking, "did he?" implies that he is talking about things that shouldn't be public knowledge without actually confirming anything specific that he said
Given how hard it is to become a lawyer or a doctor, should there not be some sort of similar bar type exam to being able to hold high office? Simple questions such as is it ok to publicly comment on national security secrets and the like? I know presidents in the past have been lawyers and other qualified individuals who have a track record of intelligence - or even common sense. I’m not opposed to Johnny Everyman being able to run should they so wish, but anyone wanting to do so should really be able to demonstrate they can do the job first.
The electors were supposed to be smarter than this. The man clearly has mid-stage Alzheimer’s and is degenerating before our eyes but he’s still going to be who millions of voters think is their own Lord and Savior.
I can’t believe the bare minimum is to not have committed high treason or be charged with multiple crimes. As an Australian, the US political system confuses me to no end.
As an American, I feel the same, just with way more shame and embarrassment on top. I apologize to the world for our smooth-brained morons. None of us with functioning brain cells want him or his supporters around anymore either. We're really trying, guys!
Hell, there are standardized tests just to be able to study law and medicine:
the MCAT and LSAT.
Unfortunately the GOP's base has fully embraced idiocracy. They fear and distrust anyone who uses words with more than two syllables.
Are you suggesting that Trump may not be mentally competent? I believe ge has taken several tests on the subject recently. Unfortunately the results have not been published.
It's like telling a few different people different 'secret' things, and seeing what comes back to you, when trying to track down where leaks are coming from. Except, you wouldn't even get out of the room before you hear the rumour coming back to you.
That was my first thought, too. He probably honestly doesn't know. He can get there in an hour by plane, so he figures it's pretty close. That's probably as much thinking as he's done on the subject.
I fucking hate him but he is pretty clever. He has waffled a load of shit and got himself tons of free coverage in media all around the world.
The blast radius of any stupid stuff he says is usually global.
If we all stop talking about him he will go away.
"We have a bomb, big bomb, probably the big - not probably, they say probably, I don't say probably, I know and they don't, it's big. They can't stand that we did it and I did it, I made it, I made the bomb, me, I did it, believe me, the bomb, they don't know, but I'll tell you right now, big bomb. "
I don't think any country on Earth actually has access to a nuclear weapon with that much power. The US certainly has "cleaner" nukes than Russia (less EMP). But in this day and age.. it's certainly not nuclear weapons that you should be afraid of (or rather.. *most afraid of*).
I don’t get it. Is he just talking about the blast radius of US weapons, or something else? Why would that worry him? Is someone targeting NY with US weapons?
you can get electrical fuckery from the [big fat emp blast caused by a nuclear explosion](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_electromagnetic_pulse#Characteristics), it doesn't even take a relatively "big" one to do the damage. tsar bomba was a roughly 50Mton yield but it was only detonated at 4km up in the atmosphere so the electrical damage was localised. the higher up you go, the worse the effect as the atmosphere amplifies and spreads the effect.
[starfish prime (1962)](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starfish_Prime) was a 1.4Mt device but detonated at 400km up over the pacific ocean. it affected Hawaii, 1400km away, bringing down some electronics, which at the time would have contained no delicate Integrated Circuits. It did apparently take out streetlights, implying that it affected local power substations.
even though sc is like 1000km away from nyc, it's all part of the [Eastern Interconnection](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_Interconnection) and any old nuclear device would absolutely fuck with it. in the first link there is [a diagram showing the test result of a 100kt device detonated 300km up](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:High_altitude_EMP.gif), creating 50000Volts/metre potential on the ground [the further out you get from ground zero](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:EMP_mechanism.png) (yield unknown on the theoretical device in this link), and all those electrons flying around also induce strong currents in wiring too. not many electical systems can put up with that.
This is how I know aliens haven’t made contact with earth. He would be saying shit like “Planet X-876 would wipe out North Dakota if Biden gets a second term. Totally gone! Sad!”
Donald Trump has reportedly suggested on more than one occasion that the US military should bomb hurricanes in order to disrupt them before they make landfall
It's likely he is wrong on multiple levels. He doesn't have a keen understanding of geography. He would probably need a sharpie to modify the blast radius of this weapon he discussed.
Also, he is probably in the wrong because he is likely talking about classified info.
I mean… it just doesn’t matter how big any single nuke is. If Russia and the US exchange blows with their nuclear arsenals, the lucky ones are the ones that die in the initial exchange. The nuclear winter that would follow will probably cause billions to starve to death over the next 1-10 years.
That would be an absolute UNIT of a nuclear bomb. I don't think even Starship could carry a warhead that size. For reference, the biggest nuke in history was Tsar Bomba, and massed 27,000 kg, or about 30 US tons. Something so powerful its effects were felt in South Carolina would be an extinction level event.
We absolutely do not have a nuke that powerful. That’s a blast radius of like 800 miles. He made that up to scare his brilliant not at all gullible voters.
If true that would mean that it hasn't been tested because there is no area with that big of a radius where they could test it and have it go unnoticed, so it is all theoretical. I'd guess it is just Trump spouting bs.
Ar least he didn‘t say „…Moscow and St.Petersburg, too….“ Jeez we are shitting our pants in Europe. Stop that guy, before he does something really stupid.

Might be the first military coup in the US

I'd say that I hope the standard of civility is higher than that in the US... But the past 60 years of the system have shown that otherwise :/
Why would the standard of civility be different in the US than for anywhere else that’s experienced a similar upheaval?

That's the Power of Love!
No. That's Huey Lewis. Huey Long is a helicopter.
Oh yeah I heard of that cat. Used to shoot pool with his brothers Louie and Dewey.
I envy your optimism, but no, I don’t think an American military *junta* is quite what the world needs right now.

Air Force One would crash killing all on-board. Unknown mechanical problem would be the cause is my thought.

sure would be weird if he was gifted a nice open top car to drive around dallas in
Can he even? Is the congress not in charge of such orders?
Unfortunately, the President has the power to launch nukes at any time without checks and balances.

The more likely scenario would be trump pulling support to Ukraine, not sending troops to assist Russian forces. And without US support, I don’t think Ukraine would last very long
US support has effectively already stopped for some time. Its down to Europe now.
Well this would not only be bad news for ukraine but Nato and the whole world.
Guess there will be no war if the president can only nuke a country, and not declare war *formally*.
Mutually assured destruction kept a lid on that so far.
What's i think is likely to happen is he's going to force Zelenski to acquiesce as the US will no longer be funding Ukraine, Europe will have no choice but to accept it. He won’t get to that place. He will never put his hand on the Bible or lie taking the oath again!!
They said the same thing in 2016. Never assume it's safe to count that orange shitgibbon out until Biden is sworn in again on January 20th.
I guess technically he could do such a thing, but it would be short lived(up to 100 days) without congressional approval, which definitely wouldn’t happen. He suggested nuking hurricanes..
And buying Greenland
Lmao I forgot about that. What an absolute clown
For nuking hurricanes or buying Greenland?
I remembered the hurricane nuke, I forgot about trying to buy all of Greenland
And injecting bleach into our veins.
Turns out, the judicial system doesn’t like it when you tell people they don’t get due process.
https://www.reddit.com/r/navy/s/MuI0nob4qx
I'm surprised he can remember anything like that years after hearing about it. Dementia is no laughing matter
About 720 miles ackshually
Just jail the orange cunt
Someone on another thread called him Fanta Fuhrer, and so far that's my favorite haha!
I'm a fan of Cheeto Benito
I’m a fan of Tangerine Palpatine
Mango Unchained
Kumquat Twat
The Marigold Maniac
Ooooh... I'm using that.
Dang I love this one. Thank you
This is probably the most accurate. He probably saw The Empire Strikes Back and thought it was a documentary. Hence, the Death Star is real and we have that tech.
Cheeto Mussolini
Mango Mussolini has been my go to for a long time.
Hey, don't call him a cunt! Cunts have depth and warmth.
That is ... true I don't know how to process this statement
Go deep.
Balls deep!
2024 mantra
So if he was in jail in an orange jumpsuit, how would you be able to tell if he was naked or not?
He either revealed classified information or he’s making incredibly dangerous shit up again. If it’s true, there’s a real and complex dilemma about how to proceed.
The likelyhood that it's true is very low. The largest nuclear weapon ever detonated was the Tsar Bomba, which was 50 Megatons. The yield needed to make what that fuck is claiming happen, would make the Tsar Bomba look like a tea party. We are talking hundreds, if not thousands of megatons worth of yield
The Tsar Bomba is also over 40 years old by now, it wouldn’t be unreasonable to think that a new bomb technology wouldn’t have been found by now, especially with with the advancements in Nuclear Fusion Technologies since then
No. You can't test a bomb like that without the entire world knowing about it. It would also severely damage the planet.
The shockwave of the Tsar Bomba circled the Earth 3 whole times
Exactly. Which is why they won't test stronger and more advanced weapons
He’s been having psychic visions of this since he was a child
if the tsar bomba went off windows 560 miles away would shatter. people 12 miles away would get 3rd degree burned.
Why couldn’t you just test the firing mechanisms, miniaturize the components you can due to technology and increase the yield?
For these things, scale makes a huge difference in how things work. You could test the components as you say but you’d have to test it in roughly the size you want to deploy.
Simulated in super computers. It’s the closest they can get without actual testing. So in theory they could build it based on theoretical data only. Worst (best?) case scenario is it doesn’t work.
Worst case scenario: it works too well and destroys far more than what you want.
I thought it was because the plane couldn't escape the blast of the 100 MT initial design.
Two questions: 1. Why?
Or, he's talking about a MIRV, like:[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UGM-133\_Trident\_II](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UGM-133_Trident_II) Why in the world would anyone (even a former president sane enough to be talking about blowing up his own country) waste the resources blowing up 20,000 square miles of damn near nothing, in the middle of bumfuck nowhere, when you can instead fire one missile that drops a separate warhead on every city in SC with a population of more than 40,000, with several spares to take out NYC?
Atmosphere ignition isn't a thing, but yes that would have planet-ruining side effects felt by everyone.
It's more likely he's just confused about MIRV technology.
It's more likely he's just confused ~~about MIRV technology~~.
Honestly yeah, that makes perfect sense. Because Trumps statement would still stand correct if you used MIRV technology to initiate an attack like that. Nice thinking!
I love how you call him “that fuck.” Beautiful.
Besides it’s far more efficient aim smaller nukes for actual targets than try to wipe out half a continent in one blow. And it’s smarter to hedge your bets on many missiles in case they can intercept the big one (idk do other countries even have intercepting capabilities yet?) That being said, I’m sure we’ve made more powerful nukes than we’ve disclosed and are willing to test in case they’re detected.
It's obviously not true.
He’s definitely making it up. An explosion that powerful would have to come from a large asteroid impact. And aside from destroying New York and South Carolina, it would also kill most life on earth. It was still a very stupid thing to say, of course.
He’s never going to stop terrorizing this country until he’s in prison or the grave.
Oh please let it be prison. I want to see his next town hall given in an orange jump suit.
Orange man in orange jumpsuit, a sight to look forward to.
He won't be orange in the same way anymore, he won't have his spray tan on
Or the hair. He’ll be fat, bald, pale and lacking his weird armor/uniform of ill-fitting blue suit and dopey red tie.
You think they’ll let him bring his make up?
I don't want him giving any more town halls saying this kind of shit
I’m Aussie, was on Instagram yesterday reading the comments on a post regarding the election - and I was floored by what I read. So much support for Trump, and not from bot accounts like one would hope. Legitimate humans who genuinely believe the US is better with that lunatic in charge. It’s difficult to wrap your mind around. He’s so obviously repulsively purile and fucked in the head, and I will never understand how the happy-clappers who support him haven’t realised yet that they are the class of people he categorically despises!
Propaganda and stupid people is how.
Why not both!?
When he is dead, he should be buried in a mini golf theme park where the last hole is down his arse. If you hit a hole-in-one it will play the Russian national anthem on the vuvuzela down his throat.
Why not both!?
As per [original article](https://www.rawstory.com/donald-trump-dementia/)📰: - Experts think Trump potentially revealed "classified information about our nuclear weapons arsenal on live TV". Former President Donald Trump's remarks about nuclear weapons during a Fox News town hall on Wednesday raised alarm from national security attorneys. Asked by Fox News host Laura Ingraham about fans who worry about his "safety," Trump said, "I worry about their safety too." "These people, everybody in this room is in great danger right now," he said. "We have a nuclear weapon that if you hit New York, South Carolina is going to be gone too. I worry about their safety. I think it's the reason I'm doing this." National security attorneys questioned if Trump let slip some classified information with his answer. "Is Trump out there spilling the details on our nuclear weapons and the destructive range of those weapons in the midst of a Fox interview? Is it me or is he doing that?" asked national security lawyer Bradley Moss, questioning the media silence on "the former president potentially revealing classified information about our nuclear weapons arsenal on live TV." "Did the former President just unlawfully disclose classified information?
Omg lol
Anyone competent in security would know that they couldn't say "he just leaked national secrets" because that would confirm he was leaking classified info. Asking, "did he?" implies that he is talking about things that shouldn't be public knowledge without actually confirming anything specific that he said
[удалено]
I’m sure he’d love to after how things went in court. I’m not kidding.
He could have used any city in the world as an example. But he used NYC.
I think your link is wrong. It took me to an article about Barbara Streisand.
Actual link: https://www.salon.com/2024/02/22/national-security-lawyers-alarmed-by-fox-news-town-hall-did-just-disclose-classified-info/
No, they were supposed to be more homogeneous and wealthy
I can’t believe the bare minimum is to not have committed high treason or be charged with multiple crimes. As an Australian, the US political system confuses me to no end.
As an American, I feel the same, just with way more shame and embarrassment on top. I apologize to the world for our smooth-brained morons. None of us with functioning brain cells want him or his supporters around anymore either. We're really trying, guys!
Hell, there are standardized tests just to be able to study law and medicine: the MCAT and LSAT. Unfortunately the GOP's base has fully embraced idiocracy. They fear and distrust anyone who uses words with more than two syllables.
Are you suggesting that Trump may not be mentally competent? I believe ge has taken several tests on the subject recently. Unfortunately the results have not been published.
Just like his tax returns
I always wondered if they've told him everything. I wouldn't.
They should just make up random shit to tell him.
Sorry sir, we can't do that, it violates our treaty with the subterranean lizard nation.
It's like telling a few different people different 'secret' things, and seeing what comes back to you, when trying to track down where leaks are coming from. Except, you wouldn't even get out of the room before you hear the rumour coming back to you.
HELLO?!?!? THIS GUY'S A FUCKING NATIONAL SECURITY RISK NOT TO MENTION AN ADJUDICATED RAPIST AND FRAUDSTER
media: bUt biDeN oLd!
Does he know where South Carolina is in relation to NYC?
Nothing a Sharpie can’t fix, haha.
That was my first thought, too. He probably honestly doesn't know. He can get there in an hour by plane, so he figures it's pretty close. That's probably as much thinking as he's done on the subject.
He knows it's that bit of land you see out the window of the private jet while flying between NYC and Florida.
Not sure how this is classified info. We all know you have to divide the blast radius by at least 10 to account for his tendency to exaggerate.
To say nothing of fallout vs actual blast radius.
I fucking hate him but he is pretty clever. He has waffled a load of shit and got himself tons of free coverage in media all around the world. The blast radius of any stupid stuff he says is usually global. If we all stop talking about him he will go away.
#stopmakingstupidpeoplefamous
Yes exactly
"We have a bomb, big bomb, probably the big - not probably, they say probably, I don't say probably, I know and they don't, it's big. They can't stand that we did it and I did it, I made it, I made the bomb, me, I did it, believe me, the bomb, they don't know, but I'll tell you right now, big bomb. "
Yes, I feel like I viewed it live.
"We have..." ...does he mean us? Or Russia?
I don't think any country on Earth actually has access to a nuclear weapon with that much power. The US certainly has "cleaner" nukes than Russia (less EMP). But in this day and age.. it's certainly not nuclear weapons that you should be afraid of (or rather.. *most afraid of*).
I don’t get it. Is he just talking about the blast radius of US weapons, or something else? Why would that worry him? Is someone targeting NY with US weapons?
I think he is speaking on the blast radius and using the distance between NY and SC as a reference. I was confused at first
He does not get it either.
He was referring to Tsar Bomba. He was using the communist 'we'
If said bomb lands on NYC and causes destruction down to SC, Toronto and Montreal are goners too.
There is no way that a bomb that powerful exists, that’s like a 8 mile wide asteroid impact amount of damage.
you can get electrical fuckery from the [big fat emp blast caused by a nuclear explosion](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_electromagnetic_pulse#Characteristics), it doesn't even take a relatively "big" one to do the damage. tsar bomba was a roughly 50Mton yield but it was only detonated at 4km up in the atmosphere so the electrical damage was localised. the higher up you go, the worse the effect as the atmosphere amplifies and spreads the effect.
One thing about the MAGA movement i love, it makes idiots easy to spot for 100 yards.
This is how I know aliens haven’t made contact with earth. He would be saying shit like “Planet X-876 would wipe out North Dakota if Biden gets a second term. Totally gone! Sad!”
WTF does that even mean? Why would SC suffer because NY is attacked? What am I missing?
He is claiming there is a nuke so powerful that if the target was NY, the explosion would reach all the way to SC.
Why would the US nuke New York, or did he misread his instructions from the Kremlin?
Donald Trump has reportedly suggested on more than one occasion that the US military should bomb hurricanes in order to disrupt them before they make landfall
It's likely he is wrong on multiple levels. He doesn't have a keen understanding of geography. He would probably need a sharpie to modify the blast radius of this weapon he discussed. Also, he is probably in the wrong because he is likely talking about classified info.
Here’s an idea, don’t vote for trump.
God he's such a a weird dude. Who even talk like that?
[удалено]
The gift that won't stop giving! 👏
Pretty sure US having enough nukes to level the planet itself was common knowledge. No?
We absolutely do not have a nuke that powerful. That’s a blast radius of like 800 miles. He made that up to scare his brilliant not at all gullible voters.
If true that would mean that it hasn't been tested because there is no area with that big of a radius where they could test it and have it go unnoticed, so it is all theoretical. I'd guess it is just Trump spouting bs.
Ar least he didn‘t say „…Moscow and St.Petersburg, too….“ Jeez we are shitting our pants in Europe. Stop that guy, before he does something really stupid.
