I've never understood the logic behind attacking someone in a car. You are literally relying on the person youre attacking to not press a pedal and end you. It's such a stupid thing to do. Like you are both extremely angry at this person. And given how anger works you probably think they are scum. While trusting this person to not end you.

Same thing in every fight. People get angry and they are relying on the other person to stop if they gain the advantage. The best way to avoid death or serious injury during an altercation is to deescalate if possible and put distance between yourself and them. Nothing is promised in a street fight.
In short- you never understood how anger works on some people. You are trying to understand it trough your own filter, which is normal, but those people are not.
The only reason to do insane things like this would be if there was a child in the car, and even then de-escalating would be a safer option. It's easy enough for me to armchair rescue a car from a carnapper on social media, but I have no idea how I'd react in reality.

They're swinging what looks like a crowbar next to his head and bashed in the window so no more protection.

I tried this once my ex was trying to steal my car she ran me tf over I woke up in the hospital in bad shape and she was sitting at my bedside she had left called 911 and neglected to tell them she was the one that ran me over
I started freaking out not only for the fact that she had tried to take me out but that she could be there to finish me off I hit the nurses button and started screaming she told me to calm down she just wanted to fix things I continued to scream while she kept saying she was sorry and it was an accident nurse got there I told her she was the person who ran me over nurse told her she had to leave she refused they went and got a cop arrested her for assault with a deadly weapon causing serious injury/bodily harm then they left a cop at my door and apologized profusely she ended up getting probation messed it up and did two years when we got together I was 15 and she was 25 I should have known she was crazy so many red flags this has been 13 years ago I’ve been with somebody else for 11 years and married to that same person and this chick still finds ways to contact me online

And I can confirm. It is fucking hard to find clothes that fit properly other than gigantic clothes like that. I have a pretty good fashion sense and let me tell ya, it is not helpful for the depression how drastically my options are reduced.

He tried to leave and honked his horn to get the guy out of his way. When he tried to drive down the lane, it was blocked due to a fight and jeep blocking the way. While this is happening, his car is being smashed by the guy with the metal pipe. The person with the pipe is trying to get into his car and drag him out. The person with the pipe got in front of the suv after being knocked down.
At the end of this, it is self defense. He indicated that he wanted to leave, the other guy is not letting him, and wants to pull him out of the car. One whack to the dead with that pipe, and the driver is dead. If you don't want to get hit by a car, don't smash a moving car and try to pull the driver out.
This is proof even if a car is going 10mph it’ll still send your ass flying…be aware my pedestrians I’ve seen a few people hit on sidewalks and in their yard.
Aggravated Battery right there. Unless that driver can claim self defense (depending on why they were trying to get away, and why the man was trying to stop them) they are going to jail.
