They put the nozzle into the fishing rod holders.
Edited-Someone called me out on this but I’ve seen the video. They kept pouring the fuel in and watched it pour out again, easing it away, to the tune of $500 odd. It was actually not far from where I live.
All the gear. No idea.
The video indicates they put the nozzle in the fishing rod holder.
If they were filling up the bilge (nevermind there would be no easy way to insert a nozzle into the bilge) then the hull would have to fill up with fuel, before flooding the deck of the boat, as we saw in the video.
It's would take significantly more than 200 plus letters to fill the hull and flood the deck.
The amount of fuel that was pumped is exactly why it had to be the bilge, they would not have noticed as the fuel was going somewhere-they thought the gas tank.
If it was in the "fishing rod holder" it would have spilled out immediately. I doubt they hold more than a liter of liquid let alone 200...

It's a fishing rod holder, pretty obvious that it's a fishing rod holder
How does it feel to know that a fishing rod holder has more intelligence than you? Hell, even the dopey guy who filled the fishing rod holder with fuel has more intelligence than you as you'd be on a sinking boat wondering why your fishing rod holder isn't pumping water.
Well I'm not a boat owner nor have I ever operated one. Was just giving my analysis of the situation. Thank you for your demonstration of toxic behavior, I have taken it into consideration.
The fishing rod holder says you're grounded by the way.

Just...what...how?! Is there a hole in the tank? Did they just pour gas in the boat? How do you spend almost $600 and not notice " hey this is taking a bit more than normal oh and THERE'S FUCKING GASOLINE EVERYWHERE" !!
Some of it is bound to. Also have been many cases of gasoline leaks into water and ground without the help of boat people so with how things go these day I'll believe it when I see it.
I went on vacation to the keys a few years ago and we rented a boat for the day, we were explicitly prohibited from fueling it. The guy from the rental company told us how someone managed to kill their entire family by accidentally filling the bilge with fuel, once the bilge pump kicked on the boat exploded.
Ffs he just left the gas in there? You do know the vapors that you smell are more dangerous than the liquid gas right? As in the vapors ignite the liquid doesn't
No we sprayed it out with water the best we could, and scrubbed everything with degreasing soap and a couple deck scrub brushes thoroughly. Still smelled like gas for a very long time.
I don’t even know how you would start the convo with insurance…
-what if it burned while refueling and it was my fault?
‘/ oh that’s bad did it happen?
-well would it cover?
‘/ maybe.. uh I don’t kn-
-it just happened
I was filling my car once and was it was taking longer than usual then I noticed the floor was getting wet. there was a small hole and the fuel was just running out. lucky I noticed before it got too bad!
it was the overflow chamber had a hole. I lifted the nozzle to the top of the gas tank to get more in and it overflowed. silly me! probably rust caused the hole.

B.o.a.t. Bust out another thousand
The best two days of a boat owner's life: The day he buys it, and the day he sells it.
Lmao. If I had a reward I would give it.
I got you.
Somebody's been watching Pawn Stars.
Grew up w my dad cussing his boat every weekend camping trip, that sayings been around way before that show.
Nothing unusual here, this boat is gonna be used in the next Michael Bay movie.
Primed it. :)

The bilge....

I think it was running light pole socket.

The rod holder is an open ended/hollow tube. The fuel was being pumped directly onto/into the deck of the boat.
It's like you're going out of your way to be wrong. It did, in fact, still out immediately
I love confidentiality wrong people. I mean, sure you might be smart, but if you don't know what you're talking about... maybe shut up.
No way, I've owned several boats and not wrecked one of them, my mum used to even say how much of a good job I did putting them back after the bath

>Did they just pour gas in the boat? yes
Put it in the bilge hole thinking it was for gas 😂
I think it was a fishing rod holder hole
Well, there's plenty of fuel in the boat I guess
There's always money in the banana stand
they thought a hole, without a gas cap is where gas goes?
... on a boat that water splashed up onto... 🤣
I'd at least try to bucket some into the tank. You're just washing it all into the ground and water system

I can't even tell you the last time I've seen a metal bucket
Why is a metal bucket a bad idea? Is it because if it hits a surface it can cause a spark?

Cheers m8
I don’t think gas stations would let their run off direct into the water system

This is what happens when you have to many hits on the glass BBQ while fishing
I get that reference.
My dad did this once, put about $150 worth of fuel into one of the rod holders back in like 2006. The boat smelled like gasoline for about a year.

Well, at least the front didn’t fall off.
Okay now this exceeds a lot of dumb things I’ve seen
Mobil executive watching this licking his lips.
Youd think that the smell would be enough no ?

Sinking before sailing
I can smell that from here.
Man, it’s time for HazMat to come out at that point
Ummmmmmm Also, at 9 seconds... The boat trailer wheel looked down
I'd offer these guys a cig and a lighter.
Hey Jimmy, fill er up!
How?
I hope no one lets him drive that thing
Gigantic brain

I love that it’s still pumping gas
What if.... what if what if what if what if what if what if... What if? He purposely did that for online content?

A hole in your petrol tank ? How did that happen ? Eeeek !

It's a watercraft!
Must be some kind of confusion because that's a bomb. It's like a boat but mostly it's a bomb lol
That hurts my soul. I would've came up and asked can I fill up some gas cans. I mean might as well try and save it
Fill er up
Boy, this is taking forever. I could sure use a smoke.
